Very average breakfast. I had the migas, bland and covered with cheap American cheese, best part was fresh crunchy bell pepper and onion. Bacon was served in a couple of weird little clumps. One clump was crunchy but the other very tough and chewy, obviously low grade bacon. Their green sauce used to be much better. Now it's kinda chunky and not smooth and creamy as before. I requested butter for the tortillas (heavy, not light and fluffy) and never saw the server again, another lady checked me out. College Station and Bryan TX has a good sized population of Hispanic families so Im not surprised that I would find decent/ok/ good Mexican food. This place was surprisingly good and affordable. I ordered chile relleno and my wife ordered taquitos. I figured, go big or home right? Chile relleno is either good or trash.. im glad it wasnt trash.. hate paying for trash.. It had some crisp to the breading but not much didnt taste to eggy and the chile tasted like a chile. The rice and beans absolutely great!! The flour tortillas were homemade... so on a mexivan scale of 1-10... solid solid 8 1/2 The flautas were good, fresh.. yes I tasted them!! Im a fatty!! Of course I did. I had a pineapple water.. changed it to a Dr Pepper.. not the best... my wifes horchata also was lacking flavor. I may come back next time im in town. read more

I'm very picky with breakfast tacos because there's a criteria they must meet. Well...at least or me, a self-proclaimed expert on true TexMex breakfast tacos! 1. Fresh, soft, pillowy, warm, made in house tortillas that are never nuked in the microwave (cuz why would anyone ever do that?) 2. Must have an option for eggs a la mexicana 3. Must have legit red and green salsa and one should be spicy 4. Must have some level of sabor without an overwhelming sense that you need to add salt and pepper. These breakfast tacos only met #2. But disappointing after that. They appear to meet all of the criteria. But they lack any flavor, the bacon was like moist jerky (inedible), and the tortillas were tough to chew (also inedible). How did that happen?? Unfortunately, I had to discard this seemingly perfect breakfast taco. And not for a lack of trying to make it work. Sorry folks. Hopefully it was just a bad day for them but don't hold your breath. read more

Stopped by Sunday morning after the TAMU/LSU game. Ordered 25 breakfast tacos with the help of a lovely lady working the counter. 10 minutes and $100 later, they helped me carry the food to the car. Came here for a quick lunch recently and enjoyed my meal. I was greeted by the only waitress in house and was seated quickly. Chips and salsa delivered immediately, and my order was promptly taken. There was one other table in house as is was around 2:30 in the afternoon. Ambiance is ok, the place could use some updating and a deep clean IMHO. I had the 3-enchilada lunch special for $9, served very quick and hot. Food was good rice and beans were good as well, along with the salsa served with the chips. No complaints, for the price I would come here again. Was in and out in 45 minutes. This restaurant is next to the brew shop I use. read more

We visited the restaurant for breakfast. Very simple and low key inside. Good selection of the breakfast items, various omelets, eggs any style, chorizo etc. As we sat down, the plate with tortilla chips and dipping sauces immediately appeared on the table. The green creamy sauce had a little kick and was simply delicious. I had eggs scrambled with chorizo and home fries - excellent. Portions have generous size, so you better come hungry. An amazing place to spend time with local community. We love going to Coco Loco after church on Sunday's, after 1:00 you miss the lunch traffic and can sit down for just a little longer to have conversation and an amazing meal. Their green jalapeño salsa is to die for, although spicy it has so much flavor and is also served alongside their red salsa with chips when you eat in person. The menu is large but confusing because you can only order certain dishes on special days. I always get whatever the special is that day. Today I had the chicken fajita plate. It was fine but bland. Also I needed more corn tortillas because they were too delicate for the big cuts of chicken. I had to double-up on tortillas. There is nothing wrong with the restaurant itself, but I will stick with the larger chains like Los Cucos or Ninfas.
