Wow. Every thing we ordered was great. I had the fish tacos at our waiter's recommendation, and they were colorful, both in flavor and presentation. The restaurant is warm and welcoming. Let's start with this is a hard review to make. I got the sizzling mixed fajitas. Sizzling? More like almost freezing. The fajitas came out room temperature at best. Rice was overcooked. Chicken was unseasoned. But the beef fajitas were really good. The portion size for $27 was very small compared to other restaurants. Tortillas were very good and they brought out more than plenty. The service was sub par. I can't blame our server too much because it is graduation weekend and he did his best to bring us everything. However, my food was last to arrive and some of our family members were finished with their food by the time I got mine. My wife got the cheese enchiladas which were very good. I can't say if I'd recommend you trying it yourself or just skip it. I'd say 2.5 stars is fair but it's really leaning more to 2. I would not come again personally. read more

I've never given a business this rating but had to deal with outrageously poor management and service. My husband and I took our 20 yo daughter to this location. While I was in the ladies room, my daughter ordered a margarita and was declined. This is acceptable. My husband ordered a margarita and an ice tea and our daughter ordered water. The waitress took the order and came back with a water and tea. I came back to the table and ordered a margarita. Waitress asked for an ID and when I proceeded to give her my ID, she said no need and that she would put in the order. She came back 5 minutes later and said she did put in the order and they're working on it. Half way through our meal, the drink still didn't come. We said we'd cancel the order and she told us she never placed it anyway because she assumed we would serve it to our daughter. I asked her what gives her the right to determine what an adult customer will do with their drink? I asked to see the manager. Apparently, she spent a good amount of time explaining to her manager. The manager was surprised her waitress had lied to us about placing the order but proceeded to say the same thing. I asked her what made her guess that we would serve our daughter the drink because i was going to drink it myself. I asked what was the store policy because the TX policy allows parents to buy drinks and share with their minors as long as they are present. She proceeded to say that she doesn't have the policy and that I would have to reach out to corporate offices. Then she tells me that because I was upset, she is making the call not to serve our table alcohol. Mind you we were finishing our meal and ready to head out. This manager has a big head and lots of empty space. I will reach out to their corporate office to see what policy overrides the Texas state law read more

But it could be because we sat near the bar this time. We ordered the exact same stuff, ready for our dreams to come true. Instead, we were highly disappointed in the food. The chicken for the fajitas were dry. I added lime and it made it a bit better. The seasoning was like night and day compared to the first time. Neither of us really liked it, it tastes like frozen chicken put in the microwave. The steak was pretty good though. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, Lupe is your place. Located in downtown College Station, Lupe is always busy with locals trying their fantastic Mexican dishes. Tacos al Carbon is ALWAYS a dish we order. These come with 2 chicken and 2 beef wrapped around a homemade flour tortilla. It's one of Lupe's specialty dishes and I'd highly recommend. Lupe's complimentary chips come with a homemade salsa and a black bean dip, both of which are fantastic. We usually end up going through a basket or two before our meals. Seating is offered both indoor and outdoor, and the outdoor section even has a play area for the kids. Service is always quick and helpful! Parking is free right outside of the restaurant too. Today, my family and I were waiting outside on the front patio before eating, and we witnessed a customer and employee arguing outside 15 feet away from us, the customer was keeping her calm, where as the employee (also a girl) was screaming at her in such an unprofessional manner.
