Took my friend here for her birthday. It was great. I ordered the Margarita that comes with a corona bottle in it. I had 2 of those, and yes I was very tipsy. As always I ordered the cheese quesadilla. Wow they do such a great job on these and they give you a large portion so I always take some home. My friend ordered a combo and she loved it. The refried beans were old. The Spanish rice was not traditional. The beef was bland. The plate I ordered came directly from the microwave meaning no part of the meal was fresh. My go-to is the Deluxe Chicken Enchiladas. The tender roasted chicken is great, but the best part is the Deluxe Tomatillo Sauce they are topped with - a mild creamy blend of tomatillo, cilantro and sour cream. My oh my! We tried going to Chuy's today , and honestly, I think we unlocked a new Olympic event: competitive waiting. We were sat right away, and then... nothing. No water, no chips, no "we'll be right with you." Just us and the echoes of our stomachs growling. After about 15 minutes, I started to wonder if we had somehow wandered into a museum exhibit called "Authentic Mexican Restaurant, Circa 2025 to Observe the Guests in Their Natural Habitat." At the 20-minute mark, I figured maybe this was some kind of new damn fasting program. By 25 minutes, I was close to chewing on the menu for something to eat. By 30 minutes, we admitted defeat and just had to leave still untouched by even a crumb of a chip. So if you're looking for food, drinks, or literally any human interactmant, maybe Chuy's isn't the place for you. But if you're looking to try some extreme patience training or practicing you'r invisibility, 10/10 would recommend. read more

Blackberry margarita is delicious and food is decent. But service here is less than stellar. Was seated in a high traffic area of the main dining room and it took the server more than 15 minutes to bring out water/chips and initially greet us. In fact, we were gathering our menus to move ourselves to the bar, thinking maybe we were just overlooked (no biggie), as the server finally approached our table to greet us. I ordered a margarita and when it arrived, I took a few sips and passed it across the table for my daughter to taste. Out of mid-air, the manager appeared, and without a hello or anything required to see my daughter's ID. I informed the manager that this was my daughter (knowing she was of age anyway and it didn't matter). Manager told me it didn't matter to TABC and they could lose their liquor license for her tasting the margarita. After researching on my own after dinner, I realize that's false information. The manager left after being appeased by my daughter's valid ID. We sat there a few minutes and then I requested to speak with her again as I began to process the events tgat just unfolded. I couldn't believe we sat for 15 minutes without even a water to drink, but my daughter takes one sip from a marg and someone magically appears within SECONDS (it was startling!) to interrogate us. Of course the manager didn't listen to my concerns at all and gave excuses for her poor management skills in how she's handling this situation- showing 0 customer service skills. This is our last trip to this location. We will take our business down the road to businesses that care about their guests and listen to them in order to meet their needs. We ordered queso as soon as we sat down and then ordered our food 10-15 minutes after. We didn't receive our queso until AFTER we already had our food. We went 10 minutes at a time without drink refills so we ate our meal with nothing to drink. Our server didn't check on us and we sat and waited over 15 minutes AND had to ask another server just to get our check, all while watching our server in the back standing and talking. I come to chuys all the time and this is the worst experience I've had. My food was wrong but we didn't see our server enough to even let her know the error. Went for lunch with my kids before I got busy cooking the holiday meal! We got seated, drinks taken, when the waiter came back with our drinks she automatically took our order as we knew what we wanted, we waited over 45min-1 hour for the waiter to come over and say when she put our order in the machine ran out of paper and the kitchen never got our order and she threw the slip away and needed to retake our order. A manager never came over, I walked up to the front host to request another manager while waiting another 10/15 mins nobody ever came! At this point I just left and called the restaurant to request to speak to a manager and waited over 10 mins on the phone and no manager ever picked up! The parking lots was full on a Sunday at 11:00 am. That says a lot. We were fortunate to be able to just sit at the bar. We were just coming in to snack and drink before going shopping. I also find Chuy's to be another top notch and absolutely delicious Mexican restaurants and 5 out of 5 on this one too! Everything is so good here and I'm usually a sucker for red salsa but the creamy jalapeno dip here is the winner between their red and green table salsas. I have tried the other red salsa that's not served at the table directly that's very good but I can't remember which one it was but I liked it a lot. Chuy's also gets crowded very quickly because it too is that good and that popular. So, be sure to get here at a reasonable time if you want to eat at the restaurant itself. Have to say was very disappointed in the service and the food. Ordered the queso and the server was not able to explain the add on to me. So just ordered the watery queso. Not much flavor tasted like can cheese. Not good. The beef fajitas came out not sizzling like the table next to use. Asked the server for the creamy jalapeño sauce when we ordered. She never showed up with it. Had to ask the nice lady that brought our food out for it and more chips to fill our empty basket. The Cole was very flat. I mean it's Chuy's. Food is good, service is good, ambiance is Chuy's. This location is no exception. My go to Chuy's order is the Elvis Presly Memorial combo and a jumbo house Margarita, always. My kids usually get a burrito and they enjoy the food as well. One of our previous visits my son found a piece of rice stuck to his sanitized pre-packed fork. So now he always calls this Chuy's, the place with rice on the forks;) Servers are mostly college kids and do a good job. I sat in the bar recently and had a quick dinner and the bartenders were great. I could tell they had regulars and entertained them well. I wouldn't say Chuy's is the best Tex-Mex out there, but at least it's consistent and reasonably priced. read more

I've been to multiple Chuy's locations over the years in the Houston area. This location in College Station is not quite the same. The food was ok, not the same quality we are used to. We had a group of 5 and had taco salads and enchiladas. Food prices are good, $10-12 per entree. Would like to have had more flavor in the food. Drinks? Great place if you are a college kid. The Texas Martini was really good, basically a martini with tequila. Great service, no complaints. If just for the food, this review would be 3 stars. read more
