(From February 2025) It's Taco Tuesday and I want breakfast tacos. Realizing Torchy's serves those, I punched in an order on the app for a Potato, Egg, Cheese breakfast taco and a Migas taco. During my order, I also ordered a fresh avocado taco cause why not? You can never have enough tacos if you ask me. Pulling in to the parking lot, my order was ready and I navigated through the storm back to the hotel to dig in. Upon unwrapping the breakfast taco, it was warm with the cheese melted and satisfied my breakfast craving. Now for the migas, the tortillas almost fell apart, likely due to the pico de gallo and tomatillo salsa; I did enjoy the crunch that came with the tortilla strips tucked inside. The fresh avocado taco was meh, the avocado is fresh but that's all you taste. Could've used more seasoning and some more beans for a balanced taco. But nevertheless, it's hard to knock the taste of an ingredient like an avocado. If you've been to one Torchy's, you've been to them all. Now I can say I visited the one in College Station. read more

Häme of Damn Good Food, tacos of many styles, most with original and unique twists, burritos, bowls, breakfast, and salad, their queso and dips are to die for, in-house made sauces and corn and flour tortillas. Laid-back atmosphere and the staff is always friendly. Great rewards program for free food too. read more

Returned after last visit a year ago. It did not disappoint! The queso is to die for. The tacos are tasty and plenty to eat. We will miss this gem when we leave. read more

This is a fast casual type of restaurant. I ordered a Baja shrimp and the democrat which was with barbacoa meat. The shrimp taco was fantastic with perfectly crunchy, battered shrimp. Unfortunately, there was a large piece of fat in the barbacoa. read more

This place has a nice twist to tacos, they have all the basics that make you love tacos but then the ability to upgrade and add special flavors. The chips, salsa, queso, dips were all really good and pretty massive. I really enjoyed having a normal taco with new ideas and flavor pairings. read more

I go here very often for the liquid gold... the customer service at this location is the best among all of the torchys I've been to. The new manager Jordan has brought a welcoming environment and I will continue to come back! read more

Love Torchy's Tacos! You can make them with any kind of meat or sauce and they are delicious.

i go to torchy's all the time. allll the time. definitely have tried every item on the menu including seasonal temporary items at this point and i absolutely love the food here! highly recommend the brushfire, trailer park, chicken fajita, mr. orange, or honestly any of their tacos. the ambiance is always quite lively and inviting, especially at this college station location! service is good as well! only downsides are that the lines can get a touch long on move-in weeks or game weekends, and i do notice sometimes when asking for refills on chips and such the request can get forgotten now and then, but the place stays really busy so it's totally understandable. overall: 10/10! taste: 10/10 value: 10/10 torchy's has great value & taste and it's one of my favorite spots of all time for texas tacos. read more

The food is great as always but I'm writing this review because the last time I ate here I had food poisoning for 3 days and this time again just found MULTIPLE bones in my taco. Torchys has excellent food but they need to work on the quality of it as well. Be warned. read more

Tacos were good, but the chips were stale. I asked for a fresh basket and was given another basket of stale chips. This place is usually pretty good. read more

First time & it was AMAZING. Came from out of town for graduation and said why not instead of something we have at home. Best decision after a long flight and drive down here. Chris had the best attitude and made us feel so welcomed, especially when we said we've never been before. "I got you" and boy did he not disappoint with all the suggestions. Great experience and will end up coming back throughout my whole visit in town. read more

A bit expensive for what you receive. The queso is the best thing here, solid every time. Chips are fresh and light. The flour tortillas are fresh and the beef barbacoa is good as well. Because of the price mostly only get one taco. Great is you need a casual fast dinner/lunch. read more

Food was cold when receiving it. I definitely think that they should have food. That's hot and ready. read more

Third and last time for me. So dadgum expensive for so little return. Slow to produce a breakfast taco. Ordered chorizo egg and beans. $4.50 for what I would call a small taco. Only one in line and took 14 minutes to make. My treasure hunt for the chorizo finally yielded the filler on the last 2 bites. No more than 1/10th of 1/4th of a teaspoon of chorizo Give me Jesse's on Briarcrest and 29th every time. No more pretenders. Go with Jesse's read more

I have to preface this review revealing I actually don't visit the Torchy's Tacos closest to my ranch. That would be Belterra Village west of Austin for the record. It has been terrible for years. But, a bunch of my friends were in CS for a car club event and someone suggested it. Me thinking ahead because we were on a tight schedule downloaded the mobile app and ordered 10 minutes before the doors opened. All others chose to order at the counter. AND, we were last to get our food lol. They had trouble unlocking the soda fountain too. Good news is (and I was a frequent visitor to the first Torchy's in ATX) the food was better than I've had in years. The beef in the Ranch Hand actually looked like meat instead of a burnt end. Migas taco ingredients were fresh including the fried tortilla strips. Got my buddy to add a little bit of Diablo sauce to his taco as he's a fan of Hot Ones on TV. He keeps the hottest sauce from the show at his house. I've yet to try it but I will. We left and headed over to Montgomery, Texas for lunch. About an hour from this Torchy's. Watched him hang an emergency right into a convenience store for relief :) read more

I want to give it a zero but that's not possible so I give it a one. Our service was not pleasant the workers buttholes and were so confused that they were literally walking in circles. Our food was terrible the tortillas were cold and they didn't have ketchup LIKE HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE KETCHUP. We asked our waiter for some ranch and 30 minutes later we had to go get it our selves. It felt as if all the workers hated their life but had to work and extra shift for the supplies. 10/10 do NOT recommend this location. read more

Damn good as always. My husband and I went here for a quick lunch taco break and we were not disappointed. The Crossroads taco was delicious, of course. Hit the spot. Torchys was my go to in Colorado when I was feeling homesick...but after this visit to a location, in Texas, I'm wondering...why. Our first visit to this location was great but the second trip was pretty awful. It's safe to say it's inconsistent. We always sit at the bar because its frankly easier to put an order in. We grabbed a seat and then a group of about 3 sat next to us, incredibly loud and obnoxious. It was clear that the bartender was having a night. It was busy, loud, and orders kept rolling in. She grabbed our drink order pretty quick but then was swamped with other orders and essentially forgot about us. She definitely tried her best but as I shared, the group next to us was loud and kept trying to talk to her while she was doing her job. It was an odd dynamic given how busy they were since she should have been tending the whole bar, not just this group. By the time I got my drink...it was wrong. Fast forward & we finally put our order in. 2 tacos and a queso (free thanks to a birthday treat). Tacos came out after about 10 minutes but no queso in sight. She checks on us and realizes its missing so she offers to give us the queso for free...again? Weird. Anyway, our queso came out a good 20 minutes *after* we ordered and received our tacos, watery & without the usual guac, which was disappointing. It's a good location, fantastic patio, but definitely hit or miss. read more

My husband and I ordered 6 chicken fajita tacos for pick up. Once home, we opened the bag and this is the size of the tacos. The taco was not even the size of my hand and I wear small sized gloves. We paid $5.50 for each one. While the taste was good, the size was ridiculous. That's the size of a kids taco, not an adult, and for all 6 tacos to be this size is awful. C'mon Torchy's. Do better. read more

i don't live in College Station, but wanted something to eat, before heading back to Houston, when i saw this place & decided to give it a try. it was my 1st time to any Torchy's Tacos & i'm so glad i stopped here. i sat at the bar & the bar tender was very friendly & attentive. she explained the menu very well & i chose the fajita combo platter & it was delicious! it came with grilled onions & bell peppers, a side of pico de gallo, guacamole, some shredded cheese & a little sour cream & salsa, & a small bowl of rice & beans & 3 flour tortillas. everything was fresh & the meat was hot & tasty. i made 3 fairly large tacos that were quite filling. the beer was ice cold & paired well with these tacos. i'll be visiting another Torchy's Tacos in the future. read more

Bartenders are the best. Tacos are perfect and prepared quick. Good location close to campus.

Really liked the food, fun taco flavors. The decor of restaurant was good too. My husband liked the margaritas too.

food was great as always. i didn't finish my taco so i went to the counter to ask for a to go box. i said " can i have two to go boxes please " the man working the counter had the NASTIEST attitude. he was like " we don't have that" and " what do you mean " with such a rude tone & almost disgusted look on his face. i then proceeded to explain what a to go box is to a restaurant employee... he was like oh we have foil next to the drink fountain. i told him there wasn't any foil then he just pointed to the counter again and walked off. idk his name but he had tattoos, fairly slim physique, and caucasian. such a strange experience just for a to go box. again i love torchys but this guy needs some customer service training or something. threw off my overall experience. read more

These tacos are beyond good. The Crossroads are the go to taco in Texas. Great atmosphere & employees seem to enjoy their jobs.

Repeat customer... almost monthly, love me some Torchy's! Staff is again consistently nice, helpful and patient, even when register is active up. I did try a new taco, I've always wanted to try the "Mr Orange" which is a salmon taco, and let me tell ya it was amazing! I had almost all the others (shout out, love the Fried Avocado, Crossroads)... anyway, a very consistently good spot to eat, you will not be disappointed!! read more

Bottom Line: Premium tacos!! Well loaded with goodies. Good price given the high quality & volume of the food. Helpful counter dude. Rather loud space, though it was clean. Top Line: At recommendation of counter dude who said 2 tacos would make a meal, I ordered a lunch of two tacos (green chile pork & fried avocado, both on corn tortilla) which came to a bit less than $9 after tax. Liquid libation was just a glass of water. The pork was really tender & juicy. The veggies on top were crispy fresh & tasty. The green chile sauce had decent taste, but not much spicy heat. The sauces made the tacos nicely dribbley & drooly enough that a few spare napkins were kept at the ready. In spite of its relatively tame heat index it was a very very good taco from Señor Torchy. The fried avocado was battered in a light batter & arrived at table piping hot. Obviously just made, not sitting under a heat lamp. Again, the veggies on top were fresh & complemented the star of the dish very well. The avocado lent it a really smooth texture & mouth feel. It's an easy candidate for a reorder if/when I next revisit Torchy's. Bonus points for doubling up on the 6" corn tortillas upon which these tacos were built. They provided substantial sturdification to bolster confidence that the bad boys would not disintegrate in your hands. I found the open undifferentiated space pretty loud. But this isn't a fine dining venue, in spite of its imaginative & well prepared food. So some leniency & forgiveness are due since it is obviously catering to the young vibrant collegiate crowd from just across the street. read more

Best queso in town! This place has seriously awesome food. The trailer park taco *extra trashy* is seriously the best taco I've ever had. Portions are smaller then what you'll find at fuego or taco bar, but the quality is far better . It's also a bit pricey 3.75-5.75 for a pretty small taco , but they are just so DAMN GOOD!!! We ordered 2 tacos each , queso, and fried cookie dough balls for dessert, and a drink. It came out to 30~ and was well worth it . Highly recommend , and service is above normal for a taco joint! read more

Returning customer and will dine again. Do Order: Breakfast Tacos on the Patio Avoid: Chicken Fajita Taco This College Station location is stone throw away from TAMU's campus. Overall twas clean and well kept with swift service, as is expected. The patio has a great ambiance for the recent good weather. The Chicken Fajita Taco- would NOT finish after a couple of bites. Excess grease oversaturated the tortilla and coated the veggies; ultimately spilling out to fill the bottom of our basket. Unacceptable. The Migas & The Wrangler- an enjoyable Breakfast. The eggs were plentiful and the veggies were fresh. The corn tortilla strips (Migas) we're a distraction and cut through the tortilla. The Brisket (Wrangler) was lean and flavorful, not too greasy either! read more

I used to like torchys. Then I came here. Food was cold, nasty, and paired with horrible service. Tortillas were stuck together and mushy. Queso was not the usual top notch goodness. Will never go to another torchys. read more

I ordered food and they didn't put the expensive queso I ordered with the food. This location doesn't answer the phone, which sends a message about how much they care about their customers. So all I gotta say is 3 things - the food is amazing- the service is awesome - aand MAN THAT BOY KJ IS FINE!!!! He was slinging drinks when they were in the weeds and busy like Maverick in top gun. Made me wanna he his wingman forever. Ate there a little while back. Had such a wonder experience. The place knows what to do with a taco, and the queso is the best I've ever had. Eat here. I ordered the green chile pork taco with a flour tortilla and avocado sauce. Flavor was really good and the pork was tender. The avocado sauce was not too spicy, but there was definitely a kick to it. There was a good portion of meat and toppings and it was overall very filling. The street corn kernels were a little dry but the flavor was really good. Service was great and the food came pretty quickly. Would definitely recommend. read more

I ordered online two trashy trailer parks with no green chiles. My receipt says it as well. Previously that has been accommodated easily with no question. However, of course my order had green chiles. So I called for a refund and the manager told me it was "impossible to get a trailer park with no green chiles", and gave me no refund. Despite the online form literally giving you the ability to request none, and despite that I have been accommodated in the past. I have been to multiple torchy's locations and they had no problem taking out green chiles. read more
