Upon unwrapping the breakfast taco, it was warm with the cheese melted and satisfied my breakfast craving. Now for the migas, the tortillas almost fell apart, likely due to the pico de gallo and tomatillo salsa; I did enjoy the crunch that came with the tortilla strips tucked inside. The fresh avocado taco was meh, the avocado is fresh but that's all you taste. Could've used more seasoning and some more beans for a balanced taco. But nevertheless, it's hard to knock the taste of an ingredient like an avocado. If you've been to one Torchy's, you've been to them all. Now I can say I visited the one in College Station.

Portions were nice and I like the combination of salad, rice, and shrimp - it felt very balanced. Taste wise - was pretty good I'd give it a 7.5/10. Shortly into the meal I started thinking that maybe I should've gotten the combo of the different shrimp flavors just to see what the other ones were like. This is likely what I would do next time. My friend opted to add six extra pieces of shrimp which I would also recommend because they give you a heft amount of rice. Pricing was pretty standard also. I think this is a good place to try if you're in the mood for a nice meal that's not too heavy and can go a long way.

Perfect size, good portions, and nicely crisp tacos with tender meat. I would certainly come back just for those. My only issue with them is how expensive the plate cost. It was about $4.50 each taco AT a food truck. Felt just blasphemous. Maybe that's to cover costs of choosing an ambiance like Northgate- if so, I hope they pic another location and reconsider these highly priced plates.
