Burgers have tasted weird for awhile, very flavorless. Drinks are always trash, I never taste the liquor, even when I add-on. I would definitely choose somewhere else going forward, disappointed too many times here. Service was mid. Yesterday we had a big soccer tournament at Veteran's Park. Do all the restaurants were pretty busy. We put our name on the waiting line and about five minutes they sit us. The waiter came and took our drink order while we look over the menu. She came back with the drinks. My wife order chicken tenders and I order chicken fried steak. I'm an early eater! My party and I came around 11:00 AM and were seated quite promptly by the hostess; the waitress was soft-spoken but diligent! She was amazing; she didn't forget any of our orders, she was courteous to make sure the apps came out before our entrees, and always checked up on us every now and then! I got a bottomless soda, and for my meal I had the country fried chicken with 2 pieces ($14.29). For my sides, I had got the loaded baked potato along with the Broccoli Casserole. I sent my food back for the first time ever, which our waitress was understanding about. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken instead. It was dry, lukewarm, and just disappointing. The sides taste like buffet food and are just okay. The broccoli and cheese "casserole" is broccoli and Velveeta. The cole slaw is under seasoned. The rice is oversalted. The green beans are from a can. Cheddar's calls itself a casual cafe, and the prices reflect that the food won't be the highest tier of culinary wonder. But what I ordered today wasn't even edible. Lunch February 25, 2025 We were seated by a girl that showed lack of involvement in greeting us. I felt she just did care about us at all. I'm not sure if she can smile or knew how to greet people properly. I'm sure a manager would expect more of her. She just said follow me, she picked up our menus and flatware, pointed to a table where we were to set, placed menus upside down (my menu facing person across the table) and left us there. She wasn't in a hurry to seat other people because we were the only ones in line. The server wasn't much better. He did not greet us. He just what we wanted to drink and if we already knew what we were ordering. He did check to see if we need anything a couple of times after we were served. He was kinda hanging around while I finished paying and appeared to be trying to see my tip. That costed him a lesser tip amount. The staff was not at what I expected from this restaurant. When leaving we passed the girl who seated as she was just standing around, not one word was said to us. You would think she would have at least said thank you and invited us back again. Well my wife picked up dinner today and I had the ten ounce top sirloin steak medium well and a loaded baked potato. They should have called it tough sirloin steak. One of the toughest steaks I have ever had and it was way over cooked. The loaded baked potato only had a little butter and a splash of cheese. Whenever we are in town, we stopped by here occasionally whenever we wanted affordable steaks! This time we got seated by the bar booth. My fiancée had to switched over to my side because she says it's smelled like someone had puke in that seat and smelly. Our waitress, Michelle, was extremely accommodating and offered to wiped and clean down the seat for us. But my fiancée was fine over my side and didn't have problem with the smell when she at next to me. I had the T-Bone Steak with a side Caesar salad. My fiancée had an 8 oz sirloin with a house salad. When our steak were first brought out, my fiancée's steak looked dead like there's no life in it. It tasted like the steak sat in its blood and was cooked in it. We asked them to remake the steak and the difference between them shows. The new steak tastes WAY better than the lifeless beef we had. The new steak tasted like why we came to this location in the first place! The manager, Lane, checked on us when we asked to get it remade. It was quick to get seated, but we sat over 7 mins (this is being nice seriously) until the manager notice we had not been served. After that we were treated very well. When we noted we had a problem to our waitress she was a pro and took care of the problem promptly. It the service from the waitress would have started like we had after we had been waiting for over 7 mins for service. We had actually order an appetizer and it was delivered right after the manager left. I will say the manager was really good at making wrongs right! I ordered the ribs and shrimp. Went in today with my family. Waited over an hour to be seated, over 45 minutes for our drinks, and over 1 hr for our food. The waiter lost a ticket after taking our orders, and 6 of our gusets did not receive their food until 1.5hrs. Even though we were a large party, the service was awful. We were here Saturday, 2/19/23, after a trip to the Bush Museum. No ambiance and noisy. We had to wait for a waitress for drinks, maybe 10 minutes, wait for her to take our order, another 10 minutes, a wait for food (an appetizer which was slammed on the table with no individual plates)probably 20 minutes, wait for main orders (a wait for condiments for burgers) another 10 minutes. We actually called the young man handling take out orders to get us the condiments. So we ordered a dessert on the machine, the waitress shows up to take money for the check and seems ready to boot us out before the dessert has even arrived. The worst service ever!
