Girlfriend and I were looking for a Jeep for her, and came across Del Sol. Spoke with Alex and "Fat" Hector. Everyone was nice and friendly at this point. After speaking to them, we drove over there only to discover that the Jeep was being worked on so we could not test drive it. Sucks, but whatever. We were trying to hit a specific price point for our monthly out-the-door finance payments. They wanted to charge us money for the work they did on the car (that they needed to do anyway, to my understanding). Ultimately, they couldn't/wouldn't hit our price, so we walked away. They continued to text message my girlfriend over the next couple of days using phrases like "you're living in a fantasy land" and other things that she and I both found incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. A few days later they got a different Jeep in stock. It was older and had 50,000 more miles, and they were asking us for the same amount that we offered for the first Jeep. I didn't feel that the car justified the cost, and I was still irritated at the way that they had spoken to my girlfriend. But she had her heart set on a Jeep, so we went back down there. We spoke to a finance guy (don't remember his name) and signed some preliminary documents pending the outcome of the financing decision by our bank. The next day, the bank declined financing because the bank believed that the car was worth $3000 less than what we were trying to finance the car for. Ultimately the whole deal fell apart. We felt that, for the payments that we were going to have, it made more sense to go with something new that the bank would finance, and that would come with various auto warranties. Del Sol simply wasn't going to be the auto dealer for us. We spoke to Alex, the sales guy and explained that the bank rejected our loan, and that in light of this we felt it made more financial sense to begin speaking with a dealer that sold new cars. Alex was very upset and rude on the telephone, then hung up. That evening, we went back to Del Sol to get a refund on the cash we'd put down while waiting for the bank's financing decision, when we were met by "Skinny" Hector. "Skinny" Hector decided that before giving us the refund, it would be appropriate to verbally chastise us for "wasting their time". That because we had been trying to finalize a deal with them, and it fell apart because of the bank, that they hadn't posted the car online and that made Hector angry. He began arguing with my girlfriend, and behaved in such a rude, unprofessional, unwarranted way, that I ended up having to raise my voice to get them to back off. In my opinion, his behavior and attitude were despicable. The right thing to do would have been to realize that the deal simply fell through, and refunded our money without issue. Instead, we got a rude lecture about wasting his time (even though that wasn't what happened), and had to ask him several times to begin the refund process. This isn't a matter of whether other Yelpers have had a good experience or not. This is a matter of a group of people -- who in my opinion are shady, untrustworthy, and incredibly rude -- being allowed to stay in business. My recommendation is to avoid this dealership at all costs. There are plenty of other dealers out there. My personal hope is that they will lose enough customers that they will go out of business. I believe that this would be the right and just thing to have happen to a group of people who behave this way. read more

Selling me a car was not a problem, they worked hard to make me a deal. However once the deal was done and when time came to follow thru with promised repairs (that were on the singed contract) not a single phone call from them. Their, so called, "certified mechanics" damaged rear bumper while trying to fix the light, refused to fix it, cause "it was not in the contract". Sold me car with faulty air bag, sales person said it will be fixed if i buy. Apparently not the case with the managers, cause they refused to fix it. Their Sales Manager introduced himself as a owner and General manager over the phone. Once i found out he is not, he would refuse to let me talk to one. Started to yell at me and threaten me!!!! (NOT EVEN JOKING). Mechanics didn't know what needed to be fixed, major miscommunication between the staff there. It took over 2 month to receive promised parts, and I pretty much had to keep calling to keep them on top of it. Needless to say, that was first AND LAST time I'm shopping there. I bought a car yesterday.. YESTERDAY. It broke down TODAY. they implied it ran well and was a good car. When you buy as-is, you run the risk, this I know. Still I have never had a newly purchased car break down within 24 hours. They didn't tell me the car overheats. This is something i am sure they were aware of - I should have been made aware of.. If you are shopping for a car, leave it run for 10 min. If they won't let you - run away. Also, they stated they changed the oil. They didn't. Don't shop here. Crooked. Update: they got pissed at me for posting this and for posting a bad review on Facebook. They said they would split the cost of the repairs (should have been fixed BEFORE I bought it - if they couldn't fix it right before they sold it, why would I trust them to do it after?). And then, I called today to find out about the license plates -they never called me to tell me they were in, and it's been 6 weeks now. They claim they've called, I can guarantee they have never called me. This car was bought for my 73 year old mother.. My opinion hasn't changed.. DONT BUY FROM THEM, they don't care about their customers at all. They get butt hurt over bad reviews and I think not calling to advise of a small refund and license plates may be breaking the law?? read more

Called Del Sol on a Saturday about a car we were interested in to inquire about the price (prices not listed online). The price mentioned was way over our budget ($8995). The salesman said he would have to talk to his boss and call us back. Later he called and said they are willing to work with us on the price and we had him confirm that we would be paying no more than $6000. So we made an appointment. Before driving all the way up to Everett, we called to confirm what we had discussed the day before, that we would be paying no more than $6000 for the car. They confirmed again with us. So we drove up north (35 minutes), viewed / test drove the car (30 minutes), waited while they appraised our trade-in (15 minutes) only to be told they couldn't match our price. After a couple of 'I will see what my boss will do' and us conceding on the trade-in price, it turns out they won't go below $7500. I asked why they told us they would meet our price, only to be given 'buying advice' about high-mileage cars. Waste of time, wouldn't go anywhere near them again. read more

I was shopping for a Pontiac G8 in early 2014. Del Sol had one of the few listed on AutoTrader and so I gave them a call. They said I could come by at 12noon and they would have the car ready for test drive etc. at 11.55 they called to say there was a delay and they wouldnt have the car on the lot until 1pm (something about it being on another lot). This seemed OK and perhaps even trying to be helpful. I arrived at 1pm. The people there didn't know I was coming and the car wasn't there. Whoever was the salesman hadn't done anything but assured me he would go directly to the 'other lot' and get the car and suggested I check out their other vehicles. I waited until 2pm and there wasn't any update so I asked another salesman. He called and apparently the first guy was delayed and didn't know when he would be back. I left. So all in it was highly suspicious of bait and switch. I came on yelp and saw the same behavior being reported so I wanted to let others know it seems a core M.O for them. Sad. Also, I saw them post their same G8 ad repeatedly in the previous weeks and the subsequent weeks. I don't believe they ever had the car. read more

I would like to preface this review by saying this is in no way a smear campaign against Del Sol Auto, but simply a telling of my experience purchasing a vehicle from them and the 10 months that followed. In September of 2017 I landed a solid job fresh out of college in my home town in Eastern Washington. After a few months of saving up $3000 for a down payment, I was ready to start looking for an upgrade from the reliable 1992 pickup I had been driving since high school. (February 2018) I knew what I wanted and started looking for a 2005 or newer Ford Mustang on cargurus, craigslist, etc. I came across a posting from Del Sol advertising a 2006 GT Premium Mustang at a price that was within my budget. I called over the phone and their salesperson Alex explained to me that the car had not been on the lot long, and I would need to put money down to hold it until I was able to come see it the following weekend, so I worked with their finance department to get the money down, and I was incredibly excited to come pick up my new (to me) car. That Saturday I drove on over with my mom and brother who were excited to come with me as I made my first car purchase. We waited for a minute as Alex came back from the gas station with the car, hopped in and took it for a drive. It drove great from what I could tell, and everything was as pictured online, except for a fair amount of noise coming from the suspension that I was assured both in person and over the phone that it was just "road noise". I *ignorantly* thought nothing of it and went through the process of taking an in-house loan to make up the difference between my down payment and the total price of the car. I was offered a used car warranty and declined thinking that the car had driven very well, and everything I had looked for checked out. We finished with the forms, hopped in the car and were on our way back across the state. *One side note, I was asked to fill out a 5 star review for them online while I was in the process of filling out the paperwork, but declined* The next day I got in my newly acquired car to go for a drive and noticed a very loud winding noise coming from the rear end of the car, and what sounded like metal slamming together when I hit even the smallest bump. I could not diagnose the issue myself but took the car in to a reputable local shop and was informed that the rear end differential was shot due to the car having 4 tires that were slightly different sizes and snapping the rear differential over time, and the suspension needed some serious work too. I called Del Sol to let them know what happened, and after some back and forth, I was assured that I was just experiencing a case of "bad luck", but they offered to pay for $500 of the roughly $3,000 repair bill. I was not happy, but figured it was better than nothing. I was also told by the repair shop that if I did not change out the tires to a matching set, that this would happen again, so I shopped around and found the most inexpensive matching set that would fit the oversized wheels on the car, which came out to another $800. A week later I got the car back from the shop and thought I was good to go to enjoy my newly acquired vehicle. Two weeks later the check engine light comes on and I again take the car in to the shop for a diagnostic and am informed the catalytic converters are going out. Thankfully they pointed me to a shop in town that could do it at a much cheaper rate than they could, so I went and had the converters fixed for another $500. Everything was fine, and I was enjoying the car up until about a week ago (December 2018) when the engine lost power and died. I took it to the same shop where the rear differential was fixed, and they ran a compression test. I was informed only two of the eight cylinders had any minimal compression and I was looking at $5000-$8000 for an engine replacement. I proceeded to have the car hauled to two other shops in town where the diagnosis came back the exact same. So here I am 10 months, roughly 9,000 miles later, with thousands of dollars sunk into the car, still owing a couple thousand dollars on the car, as well as the repair loan I am still paying off from the rear differential. I am currently trying to sell the car for what I can to try and pay off the loans and just get out from under it. I am particularly disappointed, because working with Alex and the rest of their team was a very pleasant experience from a buying perspective, but everything since then has been nothing short of a financial nightmare. I understood the risk of buying a used car, and not getting a warranty, but I think most would agree than a total engine replacement, and suspension/rear differential rebuild within a year of ownership is absolutely ridiculous, and not a simple case of "bad luck". read more

Seriously? This place is horrible! No doubt about it! I was wondering about why they made my boyfriend and I wait forever to get the car. After three hours, someone finally helped with the paper work and sent us on our way. Without the correct knowledge on the insurance, this guy calls us up, threatening to take the car back because it doesn't have full coverage! When the salesmen that helped us said it was ok without full coverage! Wtf! Are you kidding? He doesn't even call us at all and tell us "hey! By the way, you have to get full coverage. I'm sorry about the miscommunication." He calls us saying things like " well you better get full coverage tonight or your 1000 dollars you put down would go down the drain." Wow!!! Are you kidding? What kind of person does this? How unprofessional! You threaten us with this bs? Are you kidding? My bf had to say that we will get this done, just give us some time. Or some reasonable amount of time to complete the task. This guy goes off trying to say that we are trying to run away from the deal and blah blah. Well they wonder why they suck so much and have no customers? They don't have great customer service, where they give you correct information and everyone is up to date on what they expect. Why do all your salesmen suck at their jobs? Why do you have to lie and threaten people? I know great customer service because I've been in the industry since I was 5 years old, helping my family run a business. You don't call your customers and threaten them! Are you crazy? Or are you pulling a scam? You make false advertisement, you make your customers wait for a call that comes a week later, and your employees talk bs about the sale they made and how excited they are for their paycheck? Wow!!! Chivalry is NOT dead. Service includes opening the door for the ladies, helping her in and out of the car before and after a test drive. For the men, expect the sales associates to address you as Sir, offer you coffee and even hold an umbrella over your head while you peer into the car of your choosing. Ask for Hector. He sold three cars the day I was there and in the pouring-down rain too. The cars are detailed as spic and span as grandma's waxed floors. This is not hype. If you call and Hector tells you over the phone that the car is spectacular, that is an understatement. The online photos do not do their cars the justice they deserve. The selection is not huge, but the cars are quality vehicles. If you don't see what you want, the buyer will bend over backwards to make sure he finds something that will fit your needs. They work with you on pricing, so don't be afraid to lowball it. They will come back with a reasonable offer. Funding isn't difficult either and if your friend buys a car upon your recommendation they will give you $100. If you are looking for a car, place DelSol on your list of places to shop. Bring a coat, the sales floor is a little chilly. read more

I'm kind of glad I didn't look at the reviews here before... I noticed the names Robin and Victor were called out in previous reports, we worked with both of them and they were great! People must only post reviews when they have a bad experience. SO! We didn't know exactly what we wanted to get or even if we wanted a truck or an SUV, we just knew that we needed a vehicle to tow a boat. I once got a super good deal on a car in great shape at a used dealership like this, so we decided to look here. My fiance and I went in on a Saturday just to look for a truck. We drove in, were directed to parking, and were greeted by Victor who helped us the rest of the day. We told Victor what we were looking for and we're behind the wheel of a Ford F150 within 10 minutes. We were actually sold on that car right then and there, we're easy, but Victor insisted we try out some others for comparison to make sure. We ended up settling on the F150. While the numbers were being crunched, we started to doubt our choice... We had car faxes and quotes sitting on the table and were asking about something in between an SUV and a truck, which is when Victor said he'd back up a 2008 Chevy Avalanche I had already passed over and denied a test drive on. We walked outside and it was literally exactly what we were looking for. Gorgeous luxury interior in a crew-cab with a truck bed. I popped the hood on all the vehicles and the engine was in great shape... So... TLDR: We ended up trading in our car on the spot for the Chevy that day! They gave us a great deal on the trade in value of our car and the truck was fairly priced. I don't think I've ever had such a good car buying experience. My husband and I found the car we liked on autotrader, when we came into the dealership it was loaned out to another customer. They we able to have it brought back a couple hours later and we were able to come back to test drive it. We both liked the car and were basically ready to buy it. The few hang ups we had were that the price on the car itself was listed higher than the price on autotrader. They claimed not to know where that price came from but decided to match it. Also the check engine light came on while we were driving it and we told them that we wanted that fixed before we took the car home, they have an in house shop that would do the work but it was closed at that point and they said they would fix it the next day and then we could it up. The next day we hadn't even gotten home and the check engine light came back on. I called them and had to schedule to drop it back off to be fixed. They did wind up fixing the problem, and they had hooked up the auto-start function that I guess the wires were already there for as an extra, but they left the plastic wrappers in my center console and took my husbands aux cord that he had left in the car when I dropped it off. I felt that they were pushy about wanting us to finance with them, and I had told them we were already preapproved with our bank and wanted to finance with them directly. All in all I am happy with the car itself, but not the experience I had. read more

Sold me a car that had mechanical issues. The engine blew up in less than a month!! This is after they told me that they had their "trained" mechanics look at all of the cars that come in. I should have had another mechanic look at this pile of junk, but they convinced me that I had no worries. Once I'd been suckered into this deal, and the car had quit running, all they would talk to me about was the paperwork that we had signed. They told me, it was sold "As-is, where -is". traveled to del sol from california, because they had the tacoma 4x4 i wanted, and at a great price. they kept in contact with me for the few days before i flew up. they met me at the airport and brought me out to see the truck. an extended test drive, and a pre purchase inspection told me all i needed to know about the truck. it was in excellent condition, inside and out. they worked with me on the paperwork, tires, dealing with my credit union, and gretting me the best price possible on THE truck i'd been searching for. i drove it home the next day...850 miles...through a bad snowstorm. this thing stuck to the road like velcro and got me home safely....and in comfort, i might add. excellent service, friendly staff, and great trucks (and cars, i'd imagine....) i would not hesitate to recommend del sol to anybody looking for a sweet ride at a great price. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from Del Sol. Friendly employees, good customer service, and a good over all experience!

I am leaning on the not so good on this. I came in for a 2004 suburban. Looked at that vehicle and none of the gages worked and I didn't want to deal with electrical issue. Then there was a Yukon that I thought was nice. Drove it and it seemed nice but there was a couple of issues with the vehicle that I found while test driving it. An oil leak as specified in the car fax and stability control light on the dashboard. They said no problem we'll fix those things. So they looked at the vehicle and fixed the valve cover gaskets and oil hose to the oil cooler and told me the Stability system was too expensive to fix so they reduced the price $500 which I felt was fair for what they told me it was going to cost to fix. When I bought the truck after they fixed the oil leak this is what I thought "Just had to worry about the rear shocks and air pump motor for the shocks costing about $1300 to fix". So now I got the vehicle home and noticed it still had an oil leak. Also drove it and it starting making loud noise from the fan belt area. I took it into a shop and they said the valve cover seal was done correctly but when they replaced or tried fixing the hose for the oil cooler they stripped that out so still had an oil leak, plus it was leaking from the oil pan as well so had to replace that. Also the power steering fluid had a major leak, and the hydro boost system which is also part of the power steering was failing. Plus I found that the front Windshield wiper cleaner motor was bad and cleaner reservoir was leaking and a bad battery too and a steering angle sensor as well. At the very least they should have seen the Power Steering leak in that system and fixed the oil cooling line issue and oil pan which they promise wasn't leaking anymore. Also when I was there to pick up the vehicle they didn't have the engine covers on the vehicle so I waited for them to put those on. The shop I used said the air pump motor for the rear shocks was completely missing so I'm guessing they didn't put that back on the vehicle as well. At least tell me about the power steering issue which they had to of known about just from looking for oil leaks. Anyways it had a $2900 shop bill and if I took it to the dealer I think it would have at least cost around $3900. Now I come to find out there is some sort of electrical draw on the system where the battery goes dead after a day or two. Electrical problems is the worst. This is a money pit. I think total repairs so far now after electrical problems is about $3400. So in ending, do I think they would sell me a car with known issues and try and hide the issues, yes I do. I did get the car I wanted at a good deal but the cost on repairs were so high that it turned into not the best deal anymore. I understand they are selling used cars and uses cars may have some issues but they should at least let you know major issues that are found if they aren't going to fix them. read more

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE. I purchased an Audi, and one week later I had to replace an engine part.... three weeks later I find out I have to replace the whole engine! I return to DEL SOL AUTO SALES, and we agree to have them replace the engine. Well a month later and still no car, because now the transmission is shot! They are denying that it could be anything with the engine swap and are trying to put it all on me! They have had the vehicle for over a month, and I have owned it for three months, but only driven it for three weeks! These people are scummy as F. I found a good looking budget car online and drove down to test drive it. The youngest guy who worked there was reasonable and we had a pretty good cruise in a little Toyota wagon. So we get back and start talking about the car and the subject of me taking it to my regular mechanic; could not get a straight 'yes or no' answer from the older salesmen whatsoever. It's like they didn't trust me but didn't have the backbone just to say no. It was just like "yeah we're okay with that BUT...". A lot of BS talk with no patience for my sake. This is the worst part - they probably asked around 4 times if I wanted to buy it that day! They obviously thought I was a moron and were trying to take advantage of me. One of the older guys even tried to get me to lay out a financing plan on the spot when I told them I definitely was not going to buy it right away. So they give me a business card and some Carfax paperwork and I proceed get the heck out of there. To quote Carlin, I have a very low tolerance level for stupid BS. Overall, just an awful experience. It's a shame that the car I was interested in was actually very nice for what it was. I probably would've gotten it if they were not pushy salesmen who talk too much while not listening to their potential customers.
