Pasta e Faglioli soup, came w the lasagna

Nice, friendly service, food as good as the first time I had it a couple of years back. Cute, cozy Italian restaurant tucked in Whittier. Had to come back for the lasagna again since it was hit. Soup was filling and flavored well, not salty at all which is great. The spumoni was delicious and a nice ending for my meal.

Came here recently for my birthday and had such a great time! Doug, the jazz guy, was performing; he was amazing and made me feel like I was in New York. The vibe was cozy, classy, and full of good energy. I always get the calzone here no matter what! it never disappoints. Perfectly baked, cheesy, and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. De Luca's is one of those local gems that never misses. Great food, great music, and great atmosphere; can't wait to come back again.

Artichoke mushrooms and spinach pizza delicious

Like always the veggie pizza delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant was busy. It is always a nice to go and enjoy this place.

Ordered uber eats from this restaurant on a Sunday evening. Food arrived fast enough and they were packaged very well. We have tried crispy calamari, milestone soup, pork chop, penne pasta and baked stuffed pasta. Everything tasted so comforting in large portions. The Alfredo sauce was a bit salty but I love salt so I didn't mind. The food was more than enough even for the next day lunch! A solid local Italian restaurant for comfort food delivery!

Haven't been in many years .. food A+! Service A+.. had the garlic puffs .. WOW! We had 3 different pasta meals. Each great! Will be back soon! ( next week)

I wanted a late night pasta dish and I just happen to find De Luca's. I've never been there and the inside of the restaurant was very cute and authentic! I did a call in order and the service was so fast! They weren't kidding when they said the portion sizes were huge! And my past dish came with salad and bread. Everything had great flavor! The bread was so fresh! And I loved the butter that came with the bread! Overall great experience I will be back

    Interior - outdated and rundown

I'm not sure how this restaurant even has 4 star rating. Note that I did not eat the food here so I cannot judge the food. But based on my experience with their service and ambiance, this restaurant is a complete disaster. I had made reservations over 3 weeks in advance for 6:30pm for a party of 11. And when I called them on the actual day to confirm the reservation, they had made it for 6pm instead, an error on their part. But, he claimed they were able to adjust the time. When we arrived at 6:30, the host said that they could not seat a large party altogether and that we had to sit in separate tables far away from each other. This was a complete lie, as I had seen a large party in the main dining room when I walked to use the bathroom. Then, he confessed and told us that they mismanaged and didn't have our table ready so they needed 10-15 minutes to set up. But, the place was so packed and tight, there was no seat for us. We waited in their bar lobby area for 15 minutes and still no table, so we decided to leave and dined at Il Gatto restaurant in La Habra, which they were able to accommodate us last minute and seated us right away. This establishment is so outdated and dilapidated, it seems like the owner takes no pride in even caring for this place, which is truly disappointing. We had to sit waiting next to cardboard boxes and propane gas tanks. There was dust all over alcohol bottles and dents in the walls, and the inside was so hot with no air conditioning. It was really an uncomfortable experience. I tried to give this restaurant a chance but after seeing how unprofessional and disorganized the staff is and the lack of physical care or upkeep that goes into this restaurant, there really is no point.

    Penne Arrabiata
    Lorraine B.

The service was great, ambiance was nice. We had the Penne Arrabbiata which was very good! The flavor was great, just the right amount of heat (spice). The portion size was enough for two! We also ordered pizza. My favorite was the pepperoni, the others were a little too heavy for me. With that being said, they were all very good. Price was reasonable, parking available adjacent to the restaurant.

Capellini with Basil and Tomato Sauce

I love coming to DeLucas! The food is always delicious, huge portions, and the waiters are so friendly.

I think it's a lovely place to stop by for pre-dinner drinks (i think they had a full menu of heavier foods, not just appetizers if you're wanting something more filling), or after dinner drinks. It's also right by the movie theater, so probably nice for that as well I probably don't need to list all the occasions a drink could be had, hahaha. But if you want it lively, go in on a Wednesday for some fun Bingo Boogie (trust me, it's soo much fun! I highly recommend it!) There's a great selection of drinks, between the wine, the beers on tap, and the beers in cans and bottles, you can't really go wrong. The service was great! They were super friendly, and even let us try a couple of drinks before buying a full glass. I fell in love with Delirium Red, which is a red beer with notes of Cherry and Elderberry. Food wise we got the Charcuterie for Two, it's just like that perfect board with different crackers, breads, meats and cheeses. It goes well with anything you drink for sure! We got the Chimichurri Steak, that was such a tender cut of beef, and the chimichurri sauce just gave it that extra zing. It came with a side of fries, and I love me some good fries, for some reason these fries were just the perfect fry, crispy with a soft center. Ended with the Baked Brie, because why not. It was served in a sourdough bread bowl and came with pita bread slices on the side. It was so melty and good, and did we go ham on that sourdough bread. Since we were there on a Wednesday, we got to experience Bingo Boogie. Which is super fun. You get a bingo card with different songs from different eras. Zee, who runs the show, is so much fun. We were all singing and dancing along. So if you're bored, or want to try something new, go on a Wednesday! Get some food at around 6, party starts at 7! The Local is a great place for hanging out with your friends, maybe get a date in there, or any of their special events, like Bingo Boogie, or Trivia! You're bound to have a good time!

Some places sit in the back of your mind for years…read more I first came to Macallan Public House more than a decade ago on a date and always intended to return. Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

I've watched it poured straight into a regular pint glass with no 45-degree angle and no pause for the proper two-step pour. It comes out flat, with barely any creamy head, which completely changes the texture and experience. Guinness isn't just another draft beer; it needs to settle, and it should be served in a proper tulip or Guinness glass to get that classic presentation. The fix is simple: slow the pour down and train the staff on the traditional method. The pub has the vibe. Now it just needs to respect the pint.
