David's was my least favorite restaurants in the casino. They didnt have any pork substitutions therefore, breakfast was not an options for me. I decided to try the ramen. The best part about it was the chicken. Overall, the waiters were as attentive as they could be for a party of 25. Several of my family members order pancakes and each one was missing a pancake from there stack. A few tried the crab hash and stated it looked better than it taste. read more

Came here for a party, not a bad place. The server was super friendly, slightly forgetful but her friendliness made up for it. The food came out at all different times, by the time the last person got their food in our group some of the other people were done eating. (The restaurant was not very busy while we were there). The food wasn't bad, it wasn't what we were expecting for a higher end restaurant in a casino but overall it was okay. Similar to another restaurant in the casino but slightly more expensive. New year Eve very underwhelming service. It has taken me 19 days to write this review because of how horrible the service was! Our waitress just didn't belong here. When we received our complementary "Chardonnay" which was actually Chandon two miniature champagne bottles. She never asked what temperature we wanted our steaks. We both ordered the same salad to start and they brought me a completely different one. Asked for it to be corrected because at $125 per person.... I wanted what I ordered. The main entrees came before my salad did..... didn't have any steak knives. All of the other tables received a full bottle of complementary bottle of champagne. Food is decent but what is going on with the chef??!??!? Why does it take 30 mins for some eggs and hash browns???? Okay, I ordered more than just plain hash brown and eggs, but still, not sure why the kitchen is so horribly slow!! Management needs to do something about this issue! Been here roughly 10 times, when they 1st opened they were 24/7 - of course that's changed. Along with the operating hours change, u can now only get breakfast after 11pm I think on the weekend and now they close at 2 on the weekend and I think 11p in weeknights. The food has some hits and misses, but I'd rather come here now that that dam Cheesecake Factory (see my review on them, that's why I'm here at David's now). The good dishes are miso salmon, crusted chicken Parmesan, the ribeye, the giant meatball and spaghetti, fried mozzarella, French toast, breakfast plate with eggs, hash browns, and sausage or bacon. Service at the tables is pretty bad every time we've gone. Going back tonight to see if there's any improvements, will update again. read more

Been here multiple times and breakfast is usually spot on...not today. My eggs were runny, requested medium steak and received a well done steak. It wasn't even worth the fuss to send back as we waited 30 min for our food, despite there only being 3 couples in the restaurant . I'm going to pray that this was just an off day for them. So we went to breakfast here yesterday morning. The reviews were pretty good so we gave it a try. We were so disappointed!!! My husband ordered the eggs and bacon meal I ordered the eggs Benedict and we got an order of pan cakes. Made a reservation through open table for a afternoon brunch on Sunday. The restaurant is attached to the new Arundel Live hotel. It is located immediately to the right if you enter from the outside not the casino/mall. Our waiter was extremely nice and helpful since it was our food visit. The food is where the experience fell short. We ordered the shanghai french toast, crab cake benedict, miso glazed salmon, and the pork chop. The two breakfast items were fantastic but the lunch items were underwhelming. The salmon had little flavor and the bok choy side was gritty as if it had not been washed. The pork chop was over cooked and barely edible. The shanghai french toast was AMAZING!! Eat it while it's hot. The crab benedict was also good and the egg was cooked perfectly. The experience was good and I would suggest sticking with the breakfast items. read more

Hmmmm. Firstly, service was slow and odd. Seemed like his first shift. I will be comparing this visit my first experience to this establishment which was great. I had meatball with spaghetti which tasted wrong and was on the cold side due to fact another member of our party was informed that they didnt have clams which was brought to our attention a solid 15minutes after ordering them. Sandwich and Spaghetti seemed like it sat for awhile. Drinks seemed average at best. Secondly, all three entrees were not impressive. Server wasnt to be bothered with us the whole meal. I've been to David's a handful of times after gambling, I've even been here for brunch before. But after today it's a tough call if I'll be returning. The server took 10 minutes to get to my table, didn't bring water, nothing. She came I asked for a latte, it's on the menu- but I was told she was going to have to go to another place in the casino to get it. Anyways the whole experience was awful, the waitress behind us (different girl) was at her tables all the time. Unlike our waitress who I had to ask other servers to go find. Bloody Mary's took 15 mins..the place isn't busy & the server has no remorse. The final straw was when she passed us off to another server to do our cash out process. Highly dissatisfied, just pray you don't get the server we got today. Edit: After to speaking to a very nice manager she apologized over and over and took care of our beer. I have been to this establishment numerous times and almost always had a great time. With that being said, my most recent trip will probably be my last. The visit started out great. We were greated promptly, sat quickly, and our server arrived immediately. After we ordered our fried calamari appetizer, the waiter brought out small plates to use, one of which was clearly dirty. After that was replaced, we placed our order for our food. I ordered the rockfish imperial (which is my go-to meal at David's) and my friend ordered fried shrimp. After we completed the appetizer, our waiter came and removed our small plates and affirmed our meals would be out shortly. We watched everyone around us get their meals, and realized over a half hour had passed since we received our appetizer (about 15 min after we completed the appetizer). Our waiter came over and asked us if we had gotten our meals..to which we said, "no". Our waiter went to check on it, came back and said the kitchen had marked our order as completed without sending it out. He then asked us to repeat our orders (which makes me think he actually never put them in). He then said he would rush it and comp something off our meal. Another 20 minutes goes by, and our waiter rushes out with our meals, places them quickly and then scurries off. I look down and see a clearly burned piece of fish with some dark brown topping on top of a large pile of mashed potatoes with yellow stemmed asparagus shoved in the middle. I turned the fish over and found there was at least 1/4 inch of the filet was charred. I never touched my food and waited for the waiter to come back out. He did come out about twice and never looked in our direction. Finally, after about 7-10 minutes he comes over and asked if everything was ok. I told him that my food was clearly burned and before i could say anything else, he said he would get the manager. The casino manager comes over, who tells me he has to get the restaurant manager to handle things. When she comes over she asked me if my fish was "a little to well-done". I proclaimed that she knew it was clearly burned, and the asparagus was yellow. She informed me that the asparagus is yellow because they shave the ends. At that point I was over it and just asked her to take my food away and take it off my bill, no replacement. If a chef makes such an egregious act as sending out clearly burned food, I didn't want him to make me anything else. We got the check, with only my meal comped. Nothing else for the over hour and 15 minutes we spent in the restaurant with almost 45 minutes waiting on entrees. Even waited for the waiter to come back to get the hand held credit card machine after I paid. He handed it to me and walked away from the table. He is luckly I properly paid. But ended up leaving the machine on the table and walking away. This experience was clearly a 1-star for me. But the appetizer and my friend's meal came out fine, so it gets 2 stars. read more

This place is worth a shot. First, I have to say Hong Kong French Toast is banging and the Hong Kong Pancakes were also amazing. We also ordered the crab hash (with modifications) and it wasn't great. I will definitely take part of the blame as the dish needed a sauce to pull it all together. Not being a hollandaise fan I requested it on the side. The biggest problem though was that the dish was room temp except for the egg. Lastly, the a la carte pricing is high for what we got. Update: the Hong Kong French Toast is not infallible. We went back and ordered it again and it was horrible! It did not taste done and it was explained to us that it is filled with cream. David's the jewel in the Live Casino restaurant collection. It's located in the hotel, away from the main casino floor, so you get a little break from the busy atmosphere. Once you get there, you can take in the modern decor and tall ceilings. Service is quick and friendly. Pre-dinner drinks : Jalapeño Honey Paloma. It is shocking and delicious. Surprising little twitch stays with you. Appetizer : Shrimp cocktail. Professionally presented, 5 very large perfectly cooked shrimp along with 2 sauces, one of which I can't place but it was good. Mains: Wife had the Miso Salmon and I had the Rockfish Imperial. I was amazed at the crispy exterior and perfectly moist flavor of both. Asparagus was addictive. Mashed potatoes were good, but I wish I could have used them for more vegetables. Overall, I will be returning, this place is worth putting your pants on for. ;l read more

So last night, New Year's Eve, my husband and I decided to give David's another try before enjoying some music. I'm so happy to say that our meals were vastly better than we previously experienced. Our waitress, Jaleesa, was exceptional. Our food came out hot where it was lukewarm last time. My husband ordered the Buratta with heirloom tomatoes followed by an omelet and then the pecan pie tart. I ordered the crab corn bisque which was a very large bowl served piping hot. Then I had the market salad that had large pieces of blue cheese and the chicken breast was quite large. Best restaurant at the hotel. Great staff who are courteous and know the menu inside and out. You can not go wrong with the crab corn bisque think it is best thing on the menu. The shrimp and grits are just ok as a bit salty since it contains large chunks of ham. Might as well call it ham, shrimp and grits. The ambiance is nice and has a lovely bar where there is live music. If I were to come back to MD I would go back to this restaurant. Also a good date night spot since not too close to casino. Long story short their Hong kong-style French toast is the bomb! It comes drenched in honey butter and maple syrup, but it's not overly sweet. The taste actually took me back to my childhood. The flavor reminded me of the French toast sticks from Bob's Big Boy back in the day! I definitely recommend you guys try their French toast! We came here for breakfast and it was absolutely great!! Apparently breakfast is the best meal to have here and I'm glad we tried it. I had the Hong Kong French Toast and if you're up for something different, TRY IT!! It's so so good. It's huge but it's worth it. The cream that's in the middle is barely noticeable and it went well with the toast. We also tried the pancakes, the traditional style, and it was delicious! The omelettes were very good. Our waitress was great and explained the menu very well. She was personable and we had great service. It's not as pricey as you'd think it would be because it's in a casino but it's worth the try. Dine at David's restaurant inside Maryland live casino. The restaurant is right by the hotel inside casino. Breakfast is served 24/7. I ate there twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The restaurant is well decorated and roomy. The staff serves you water upon entry and then takes the your order. I ordered the fried oysters and chicken ceasar salad. The ceasar salad was like no other that I have seen with the chunks of seasoned chicken that tasted delicious. Breakfast was good but I had 3 eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. My family and I went to David's to celebrate my sisters birthday on a Thursday evening. It's was relatively quiet and a slow night as we started as the only table there and a few people at the bar. Our server was very nice but extremely slow and it was surprising being as though no one else was in there. It took about 10 minutes for us to even be greeted and he was always gone for long period of times. It also took forever for our food. We ordered the fried provolone and it was extremely chewy, the calamari had a great taste but was also chewy and the star of the night was the truffle Parmesan pull apart bread! Absolutely delicious. I had the classic burger which was pretty good, the potato wedges however were not. At least the batch I had the potato was not fully cooked. My mother in law ordered the crab legs. The plate itself was hot but the crabs were unfortunately cold and no seasoning. My fiancé had the ribs which he enjoyed and said they were tender. If I were to visit here again it would solely be due to the pull apart bread and live music they play on Saturdays. They also changed their menu but did not update it online as of March 9th 2023. The weirdest part is the restaurant wss empty so idk what the slowness was about. waited about an hour after ordering to get our food. I ordered french toast which was good, with a side of cheese grits that i never got and because I waited an hour for the french toast i didnt remember i even ordered grits until I was driving home. I never got syrup but didn't dare ask because we already waited so long. The Bacon Burger was extremely salty. Cauliflower wings were good. The only thing that was timely was the bar/drinks. Extremely stoked to try David's for the first time. The ambiance is absolutely fantastic! Went in and sat at the bar to grab a late night bite before headed home. I was NOT impressed by the food at all. Ordered a Diet Coke (nothing but carbonated water), cast iron crab dip (couldn't find a piece of crab. seriously) pretzel bites were good and the David's ultimate burger named after the boss (they forgot the bacon and the bun was too big).
