Wow, I was very excited about this place, I have been telling friends and family, I've been there already 4 times. This last time I purchased large loaded fries close to $20 bucks, I had asked the lady for a sample cheese sauce, they normally give me one, again I'm only asking for one a tiny little size sauce, It's probably 1oz. She said no we don't do that, I explained to her that last week they gave me one. She said she was the manager, Anastasia, "we don't do that", she told me to call corporate. To top it off when I was paying cash to the kid ringing me up, said the total was $17.39 I told him I had $20 and 39 cents, the kid obnoxiously said " I got you", he started giving me the change in coins, I'm looking at him oddly he says "what did you want? Did you want a dollar to put in the tip jar"? He starts giving me a dollar back. I looked at him and said "I'm giving you $20.39 so you can give me 3 dollars back for my food to go". What kind of employees are these people. A kid that basically tells you you should tip them on a to go order from a fast food restaurant and a manager that is not trained on customer service and instantly escalates a request for a small cheese sauce (when in the past they have given me one), to "you can call corporate to complain!" Who ever owns this place, good luck having a good name out there! Your management and employees need to be better trained! This happened May 16th around 9:25 pm. Get better employees! read more

Ok, so I wasn't sure what to expect with this place. I'd heard from friends the food here was really good so my son and I figured we would test it out. Upon entering the shop it is bright, cheerful and clean. The cashier greeted us with a smile and took our order after all my many questions. Don't forget i had never been here before HaHa. I ordered the slider combo and noticed that it was a pretty good portion of food. With my plate I received two sliders & fries, the drink is extra. Each slider had a good size chicken tender on each bun. You can also get it on white bread but I chose the bun instead. They put coleslaw and pickles on it and I got my chicken mild. I requested honey and their sauce on the side, which made the sandwich even better. The chicken came out really hot and fresh and I liked the breading on the tender. We both enjoyed the fries that came with the meal but they could have given you a bit more in my opinion. They reminded me of "Cane's" krinkle cuts. My son had told me he had gone to "Angry Chickz" with a friend and that she really liked their food better than DHC. He didn't eat that day but was very curious. So we both feel compelled to try them so we could compare the two. Be on the lookout for that review! Overall we thought the food was good, & worth the price. I would go back for sure, also the staff was friendly and accommodating, which I truly appreciate! read more

This was the first time we've eaten here and it will be the last. We ordered two Dave's #1, one was with fries, the other with mac & cheese. One was medium and the other one was extra hot. The chicken was cold, greasy, and way too salty! The fries were also cold. They give you very few fries. The extra hot chicken was disapointing spice wise, all I could taste was paprika. Aderonke B. took our order then promptly took a break. Our order sat and got cold until the other person at the counter noticed that our order was ready. Do yourself a favor and just skip Dave's. Go to Angry Chickz instead! We've been there multiple times - the food is always hot, the chicken is always moist and tender, and they are generous with portions. read more

Husband and I were curious to try this place out. Unfortunately there was no wow factor for us. I ordered the tenders. Not a fan of the seasoning that is used on the chicken. Just guessing but seems to be a mix of paprika, cayenne pepper and chili powder. The piece of bread that comes with the tender meal, I thought it was silly and random. What am I suppose to do with that? My husband ordered the sliders. Better than my tenders, maybe the buttery bun minimized the flavoring of the chicken. The fries are very similar to what you can buy at any grocery store in the frozen food section. The cheese gave the fries so much needed life. The cheese fries were my favorite part of my meal. It's pretty expensive to eat here. We ordered the above along with a chocolate milkshake and it almost came out to $40 dollars. Didn't hate the food, we ate all our food, but definitely a one and done type of place. read more

I ordered the 2 slider meal $14.50 without a drink. Kinda ridiculous. The sliders themselves were pretty decent, but truly would lack any flavor without the pickles and Dave's sauce. Dave's sauce is nothing more than unspectacular. The fries were nice and crunchy... Nice salt... But the spice other than salt was quite flavorless. They definitely had to be dipped into the substandard sauce. Yes crazy when the pickles and the buns are the most flavorful part of your meal. Great music and the industrial look made for a pleasant atmosphere. The restrooms were very clean (which earned a for the total). The cashier was very personable and very helpful. Overall...I probably would not come back... And definitely will not recommend a stop here to any of my friends. read more

I am a huge fan of hot chicken. This Dave's hot chicken is a little bit better than the others. Their sliders are delicious. Perfect balance of spice flavor, and crunch. I love that they add the kale slaw to it. If I could eat it daily, I would. This is the perfect little cheat meal that checks all the boxes. So so good! Don't forget Dave's sauce. Use it for your fries, sandwich and shoot- maybe even ice cream. Delicious! read more

Download their app as they always have some special reward waiting for you. Friendly advice: don't order the hottest option, I recommend the 2nd hottest or anything lower based on your tolerance level. I suggest one of their combo meals that include a slider, fries, and a drink. Everything tastes so good! Only gripe is the high prices, but it's well worth it in quality. read more

Ok gang! I went back because a friend of mine asked me to come with him. I had originally disliked the portion sizes but today there are major changes. The management is making adjustments? I ordered the twl tender meal. Mild. Order #282 on 2/27/22. Ate inside and let me tell you. The tenders are a good size now. The fry boat was full. I barely made it to the end but even without a drink, I am happy. I will come back. Quality was superb but the portion sizes and overall value are perfect. Really good sized and full flavored tenders! Great overall value and I will return. read more

Surprisingly, this was much better than the LA location that I had previously went to. This was honestly a perfect chicken sandwich to me. Bread was warm, chicken was both hot temperature wise and the right amount of spicy heat (got the "Hot"). Even if you've tried Dave's before I would recommend trying out here because they did a perfect job in my book. read more

My Partner had two chicken tenders, one was at the reaper heat level, and the other one was at medium heat. The reaper wasn't that hot at all, made him tear up a little bit about 10 min after eating and that was all. It was mainly just heat and did not a lot of flavor. I had two tenders with no spice. I found the breading to be dense and the chicken a little dry. Hot Chicz by the Promenade mall is better. read more

Better than chick-fil-a :) I like that you can choose the spice level, and it comes with more pickles read more

First, I'd like to say to people that say it's hot. The name of the place is Dave's hot chicken so if you can't take the heat eat elsewhere, just kidding just get the mild or no spice! I enjoyed my food. Everything had good flavor the fries with seasoned well I accidentally ordered a medium slider and hot tender which I loved. I also ordered a side of mac & cheese for my own preference. I added more salt and pepper tons of pepper I like spice. The pickles were fresh and crisp with good favor . My only suggestion would be to possibly not place the bread in the container first and have sitting because it was hard underneath the chicken tender. I will be back again. read more

One star for being an overpriced copy cat of Canes and Angry Chicks. Just repackaged! I will not be revisiting. Not because of the staff or the ambience. They were great. The place was clean. But because I don't care for this kind of a menu. Chicken, fries, bread and drink. read more

Tonight was the WORST meal our family has ever had from this place. We have had food here several times and it's always decent... However tonight (Wednesday 1/08/25) who ever was making the food really needs some training. We ordered sliders and there was no sauce, dry bun, no slaw except a few stands of cabbage. The chicken had no seasoning. We ordered Medium and it tasted like they just fried it with no flavor at all. For the price it was really a rip off. I'm willing to pay if it's good but it was not. Won't be coming back anytime soon. Sad. read more

I placed an order dor pick up at a specific time, not only was it not ready (had to wait 15minutes) when i got home and took a bite the chicken sandwich had a long dark hair in it! Spit that out immediately! So gross!! I called and the excuse was we are busy... im assuming too busy to wrap the hair up read more

I came here during lunch hour and they were so nice and said hello and made me not feel rushed! Kevin was so great and really made the experience better. I have been to other locations but they never really paid attention to the customers and kinda shooed us away so this was way different; totally recommend!! The food is so good even tho it's dry rub but the sauce cancels it out and it was a super chill vibe here ! read more

Ladies working the front were friendly. Area was clean. The food was way over rated. Bland and just not that good. Plain and simple. Just my opinion read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dave's Hot Chicken, and it was a delightful experience. Adaronke (apologies if I spelled it wrong) provided exceptionally friendly and helpful customer service, adding a personal touch to our visit. The chicken lived up to its reputation, being hot, crispy, and incredibly fresh. There a a large variety of spice levels from mild to reaper. I went with the medium which I was told was like a jalapeño level. Glad I did because it was the perfect amount of spice for me to enjoy the flavors of the chicken. The French fries were a highlight - seasoned, crispy, and delightfully crinkly. The sauce they use is a bit heavy because it's a mayonnaise base but still tasty in small bites. Loved the pickles! The restaurant's ambiance was impressive - clean, spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. A fantastic spot for those craving delicious, southern style comfort food in a pleasant setting! read more

So I was pissed at first cuz I got home and they forget my Mac n cheese. Was highkey big time hating.... but I was eying this chicken down like god damn! Presentation is a 10: When you drop the top off the box, that shit comes out looking absolutely delicious. Have you turning into Tony the Tiger in this bih screaming out THEY'REEE GREAT Taste is 12/10: Yeah no lie at all, this breaks the scale. These boys at Dave's fry that damn chicken! Immaculate crunch, unbeatable batter situation. I never had chicken with so much flavor and crunch. Meal turned me into an automatic plate cleaner. Service is a cool 8/10: We not gonna gas them up now. Forgetting the Mac is a hit, but they were nice people. Came at 9:00 ish literally no line Overall: 9/10 This spot is damn crispy clean near nothing missing. Absolutely will be a regular. Critique: Slim menu, would love more variety (rolls, buns, toast, biscuits) read more

Great customer service and delicious looking chicken. Pleasant atmosphere, great aesthetic.

Hopefully I experienced a fluke. First time at the temecula location, I've had Dave's hot chicken before, once or twice a month at the Escondido location. So I have a fair point of reference. I ordered some sliders for the family. I ordered the two slider combo with both of them medium heat (what I usually get). We order to go, get home, open the tray, shocked to see a very minuscule amount of fries in my order (Escondido location has never used the little cardboard tray) and both my sandwiches tasted very bland, I don't even know if they had heat. I get it, fairly new location, working the kinks, I just expected more consistency, especially with a chain style restaurant. And of course the correct level of heat on sandwiches when there really isn't a way to test them without biting in. Hoping the next experience is better and redeeming. read more

Glad this place is finally open. I dont know why it has harsh reviews. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff very friendly with your order ready in no time. BTW the food in my picture was destroyed in a matter of minutes read more

New restaurant to town, I've had this before and was excited for it to come to Temecula. The chicken was fresh and had decent flavor. Chicken was juicy and good breading. The hot seasoning isn't too spicy like I remember it being at other locations? I know they are working things out as it has only been a week I believe since they've opened but some suggestions for management. I wish the employee were wearing a name tag maybe they were but it wasn't visible but she seemed inconvenienced when I asked for an extra basket and plastic ware. I subbed out Mac and cheese instead of fries when I received my order it had fries when the expo ticket even said sub mac so I guess order accuracy? They were quick to fix it tho. There were workers going around cleaning and the store was very clean and trashes were good, but some better upkeep on bathrooms and stocking supplies as TP and paper towels were out. Not sure if the layout could be changed at all but it would be nice to have an area for people waiting for Togo orders instead of hovering over the tables and impeding on patrons that are eating in store. Overall I do enjoy Dave's over like competition just some little tweaks . read more

Great food and service. Always fresh and perfectly seasoned. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and kind.

The chicken tenders are so amazing they even have spice levels None, Lite Mild, Mild, Medium, Hot, and Reaper. Service is good and they have reward points as a discount for your food.
