Service extremely slow in Temecula location.. I ordered Online said it would be ready at 8:49. Got there 846 waited until 905 for the food... It was horrendous... I would like to begin by noting that I am a frequent customer of Dave's Hot Chicken and have had positive experiences at many of their locations. Unfortunately this particular visit was the most disappointing I have encountered. Upon arrival there was no staff member at the front counter and it took several minutes before the cashier assisted me. After placing my order I waited approximately 15 minutes for my food. Notably my order was brought out at the same time as another customer's order even though they arrived 5-10 minutes after I did. When I received my meal I requested an additional serving of Dave's sauce and was informed there would be an extra charge. This was unexpected as I have not been charged for sauce at other locations and I understand this may be a new policy but never have been charged for Dave's sauce. Like can we agree one little sauce container is not enough for 2 slider meal and fries. Additionally my sandwich was prepared incorrectly and it included coleslaw despite my request for no slaw or pickles. Due to time constraints I was unable to ask for a correction. I also observed that several customers who arrived after me experienced delays because there was no staff available at the front counter. Dave's Hot Chicken is a staple chicken sandwich restaurant chain available in California. I've never had the pleasure to eat at Dave's growing up in Hawaii, and I definitely missed out. I went late (9:00p) on a Friday night, and the store was nice, clean, with plenty of seating available. Our order was prepared quite fast! The #2 (2 Sliders + Fries) and #3 (1 Slider + 1 Tenders + Fries) are both hearty options to satisfy any hungry adult. I would even say getting 2 sliders might be more worth it, as you can eat one and save the second for another meal later on. The sauce it comes with reminds me of the Chick-fil-A sauce; I added some to my sandwich and also my fries. What I don't like is that I call ahead and they tell me a time frame and when I get there and that exact timeframe, the food is still not ready to go. Dave's offers the sandwich and chicken tenders, you can spice it up how ever you want. I can take the heat, but found the medium to be enough. The chicken was breaded great, and not overcooked. The gentleman that helped us asked if we were returning or new customers and once we explained we were new, he took the time to explain the menu to us to include the spice/ sauce variations.
