Jessica, the employee working at the counter, was very helpful considering it was our first visit, and also very friendly. First and Foremost the place was spotless and I was greeted very warmly. Now y'all know me, I gotta comment on the bathrooms. I think a clean bathroom means a clean kitchen and I was right! Tonight was our first time trying Dave's Hot Chicken. We placed a to-go order, but when my husband got home with our food, we realized our order was wrong. On 2 of our meals we paid the extra charge to upgrade to cheese fries, but neither order had cheese fries. We also ordered a 2 piece tender meal, and they gave us chicken bites instead. Yes, perhaps my husband should have checked the order before leaving the restaurant to make sure everything in the order was correct, but he was trying to get home after work with dinner for our family. When we realized our entire order was wrong he called the restaurant to let them know. The lady he spoke with, Anastasia, said we needed to bring in our receipt so she can remake the cheese fries. My husband explained to her that he handed the receipt to an employee at the pick up counter when his order was called to be picked up. Anastasia seemed annoyed by this, and never apologized for their mistake. Instead, she rudely said to bring in the food so she could exchange it. But yes there is traffic right by the restaurant. So loud outside. But hey your there to eat, right? My order- One chicken slider w/ extra kale slaw and extra pickles. Medium heat. Fries w/ cheese sauce. My first bite, I knew the seasoning. It was Cumin. I'm not a fan of Cumin on my chicken. So this was a big no- go. I had to add extra sauce to minimize the cumin flavor. It was very strong. Medium heat was like a 6 on a 1-10 for me. My nose ran. ( I'm not a heat person) The chicken was very tender and juicy. Good outer crunch. The seasoning is not for me. But people rave about it. ( taste buds differ) the kale slaw is really good, soft bun and very good pickles. I still think there is paprika in the seasoning mix. My fries were really good. Number 3, Extra Hot. First of all, extra hot isn't even a tiny bit hot whatsoever, the spice level was soooo disappointing. The seasoning on the chicken wasn't bad at all, mildly good, but doesn't touch the heavy hitters out there. I went in roughly 1 hr after they opened and my fries were already cold, it must've been from the batch they made when they first opened, so very disappointing. The chicken was good and moist but the heat was nonexistent. The presentation was also good as you can see in the photo. And finally, not a hit at them directly, but the tipping industry is getting out of control, you're inclined to tip for no reason at all. You pick your food up and throw it away as you would at any fast food spot, but now you need to tip, kinda ridiculous. For a better heat level, Id recommend going to Angry Birds. read more

Bread underneath was covered in dry spice rub. Other thing we ordered was a number 4. That was better; however, is on the pricey side for the offering.
