Love a good Mexican style rotisserie chicken, never knew we had this place in Temecula. Came in at 4:45 on a Thursday and there was a steady flow of people, got my order in quick and food in about 5 minutes, So not bad at all. Staff was friendly and I asked what she'd recommend for my first time trying it here, so I ended up with the two piece meal which comes with a little of everything. Two piece comes with a breast and with wing and thigh. These aren't Costco's mutant giant chickens, so the portion may seem small initially, but the flavor is great. The only drawback I'd say on the chicken is that it was a little dry, tender, but the texture of the meat said it had seen heat for a little too long. But not to worry because the salsa adds the missing moisture right back in. Also, thinking I'll try the whole chicken next time as I don't know when they chopped up the bird I ate, so it may have been drying out from that. I got the flour tortillas, they have corn available, and those were good, pretty standard. The potato salad is good, not greasy/oily, not 90% mayonnaise, good flavor. The rice was even better than the potato salad, and I'm not a huge fan of either and both were a good complement to the chicken. Rice was flavorful and had texture, enough stick to make it easy to eat, and evenly cooked. This place isn't glamorous, it's quaint and simple and doing it right. Coming back to see if it gets better with the whole chicken. read more

This place is pretty authentic Juan Pollo. I should know. I grew up 3 blocks from the original Juan Pollo in San Bernardino. The chicken is juicy, flavorful and charred perfectly. The potato salad is one of the best things on the menu, and the rice is sticky and chicken flavored. The salsa is chunky and goes well with everything. I grew up eating the chicken tacos and these are pretty much the same. (Although , be careful with little ones, one of my tacos had a bone.) The tacos used to be 10 for $10. But now they are $6.99 for 2. A two piece combo was a little over $14. But you gotta pay it when the craving hits. I'm happy to eat here when working in Temecula, which is not too often. read more

We love this spot! They have a great coupon available that gets you two whole rotisserie chickens and sides for $40. It's enough to feed our family of 4 with leftovers for the next day. The chicken is so delicious! Their salsa is really good too and has some kick. Definitely worth trying this place if you haven't already! read more

It's not Costco rotisserie chicken, it's much better. Rice is good but there are times when it's too clunky. The actual location is a bit outdated but overall the food is good. read more

Can't comment on service since i only went in real quick to pick up. I have passed by this place millions of times but finally went in to try today. The prices are a little pricy but that's coming from someone who often buys a whole rotisserie chicken for $5 at Costco or Sam's club. But I surprisingly really enjoyed my lunch today. I ordered the 2 chicken combo with 2 sides, tortillas, and a drink. Came out to $16. The chicken was so flavorful and well marinated. You can taste the lemon and seasonings throughout the whole chicken, it even penetrated to the meat. I enjoyed the rice and potato salad as well. I tried both the mild salsa and the spicy salsa. The spicy salsa definitely has a nice kick to it. Probably at medium level. I heard they were closing down, i hope that's not true. I saw a coupon in one of the mail magazines for 2 whole chicken's for $40. Still pricy, but i would buy it again for the flavor. read more

I chicken was dry and the corn tortillas were cheap and flaky. I ordered do pick up and they waited until we arrived to put together the order. What's the point of preordering. The beans were ok and people love the potato salad, which was ok too. The salsa has zero spice. I try to help local place, but sad to say I will definitely go to the chain version of this next time. read more

Place is da bomb!! Chicken is ALWAYS juicy and delicious!! Been coming here for many, many years even when their name was previously Juan Pollo. The rice is really good and I love that they garnish it w green onions. Their chicken is so much better than El Pollo Loco. We always opt for the 2 whole rotisseries which includes salsa and tortillas, perfect for a hungry family. read more

Love Juan's Rotisserie Chicken, very tasty and moist! Great service, ambiance and reasonable prices!

WORST dry, no flavor chicken I have ever had! the rice was bland and potato salad =HORRIBLE, no wonder I was the only person there!

I have been going to Juan's on several occasions in the past and usually get the chicken bowl or the salad. Today, September 7, 2024 at about 3:30 PM I called in an order. The order was to be two chicken dinners and on chicken bowl. They said they couldn't do a chicken bowl because they don't have any shredded or pulled chicken. So I asked for the chicken salad and got the same answer. So I ordered two chicken dinners and figure I would have to pick up something some where else. When I told the people I was with they said that is absurd. It would take them two minutes to pull the chicken off the bone and make the salad or chicken bowl . I went to pick up the dinners and when I got there at about 4 PM there were two people working there a man and a woman. There was only one customer. I asked why they can't just pull the chicken off the bone to make a chicken bowl. The woman went back in the back and talked to the man then came back but didn't answer my question. Meanwhile the guy in the back had finished the last order and I was the only customer in the restaurant. I asked her again so she went back and talked to the guy in the back. By this time he has finished all the orders and was just leaning against the wall doing nothing. She came back out and I asked what he said. She just repeated the comment "He said we don't have any shredded chicken so he won't make a chicken bowl or a salad. The only thing I could get would be a chicken dinner. When I choose a business to frequent one of my biggest concerns is how they treat their customers. When a customer asks for something you do whatever you have to do to provide it if you really care about customers. It is clear that the employees at Juan's don't care about customers. This would have been easy to resolve. I won't be going back to Juans in the future. read more

We are new to the area and I have driven past this place many times on my countless Target runs. After looking at the menu, I decided to give it a try. The food was amazing! I got a chicken bowl and it was large enough for at least two meals. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the hot salsa is delicious. My picky daughter enjoyed the chicken too! Prices are reasonable - we will be back! read more

I love the special service we get as a company from Juan's Rotisserie. The food is loved by all our patients and is one of their favorite meals. They've even started going on their own. I am from whittier and Juan pollo used to be-there too. Loved it! I decided to check the Temecula one. I ordered the family chicken pack and a chicken salad. Family pack chicken WAS DELICIOUS. less than 1star no star .this is a horrible place i will be careful to come here if you take 1 bite of your food they will not give your money back and the mangier does not have a phone number and is not here all the time and the person at front desk has to call with cell phone and the managers name is Lori and you will have to call bank to get your money back so this is a horrible fast food place go to el pollo loco instead. read more

Ordered from here for years. The chicken is tasty & juicy every time we've ordered it. The sides are great! Our favorites are the potato salad & rice. To me the beans are pretty good, too. Let's not underestimate this family business. I was craving a chicken bowl and ran into this place after searching Juan Pollo. The chicken bowl is SO FREAKING GOOD. I bought a TVHS football fundraiser card (electronic) that gives you discounts at participating local businesses. I have used it at some other businesses without any problem. The details for the specific discount I tried to receive today are in the screenshot I have included. When I tried to redeem it today, the elderly woman that I have read about in some of these other comments absolutely refused to accept the fundraiser card and said she "doesn't take those." She wouldn't listen to what I had to see and just kept repeating that she doesn't accept the card and that she only takes paper coupons. She was SO rude from the time I placed my order on the phone. When I walked in, she dismissively threw her hand up at me and walked away and continued to refuse the discount card even though it has the exact name and exact same physical address as her place of business. She tried to use the excuse of "this isn't Juan Pollo." I showed her the name of Juan's Rotisserie with Ynez address on my phone and all she could say was it didn't matter. I don't understand how she can deny people the discount that we paid to get with the fundraiser card. Worse than not getting the discount was this woman's horrendous attitude and customer service (rather lack thereof.). It is absolutely unacceptable. Guess who came home with Raising Cain's for dinner instead of Juan's? read more

I don't like chicken that much but the chicken here is amazing!!! We got the family combo and everything was absolutely delicious. Very tender and flavorful. Salty and yummy. I love the rice and beans and potato salad, too. Will definitely order again. read more

I walked in and almost slipped not once but 4 times on my way in from the door to the counter due to the rain. I let her know owner, elderly women know and the first thing she said was that's not her problem and that I was wearing the wrong type of shoes for the rain, lol WOW! I told her that if someone falls it could lead to a lawsuit and severe injury. She said not her problem, I bought a lunch special and it cost me $13.80 way over priced for a dry piece of chicken, this used to be one of my favorite places, its very dirty, I don't see a rating on the window, but can't imagine there would be anything more than a "C" as its all it deserves read more

Lady said she couldnt sell us any meals that have chopped chicken, only full chicken meals!!!!! And something about that they ran out of chopped chicken due to it was a Wednesday and she didnt even offer us a discount for their unbelievable excuses for not being able to chop the chicken themselves and throw it in a salad, burrito or even a taco!!!!! Really like this place. The chicken is always moist and has a better flavor in my opinion than pollo loco. Sides are good, nothing really special but still good. Consistency, something most places seam to lack anymore. read more

Let me start with - the chicken is delicious. The potato salad is yummy and the beans are good too. The rice is meh at best. My whole family really liked the salsas. The service on the other hand could REALLY be improved. I know it's hard to handle customers during this weird COVID time, but polite timely service isn't too much to expect. I ordered thru Yelp (via GrubHub), so by the time I arrived, my order was paid for and supposedly ready. 25 minutes later, I finally had my food and was headed to the car! While they have a GrubHub pickup window, you have to stand in the main line nonetheless listening to poor customer interactions the entire time. Not sure why ordering online would not save me time and prevent me from loitering in the store! All around, if they improve the service, I would order again, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble right now. read more

Got the half chicken dinner with beans, rice and potato salad. Portion was small and the chicken was dry and a bit too salty for my taste. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I had been dialing this location since 6p multiple times and no answer. I finally dialed their Lane Elsinore location to see if their Temecula location was open and the employee over the phone said, "yes." I get to Juan's in Temecula at 6:50, there are still workers inside. I come in, no one said anything and I asked if they were still open. The young man had to take his headphone out of his ear to say, oh yeah, we ran out of chicken already," I told him, "sir I've been dialing and dialing for the last hour and no answer." His response was, "oh." I was in such disbelief that not even an apology could be given to me or a recommendation to try another location. I even made eye contact with the other employee and she gave me the ugliest stare ever. HORRIBLE! read more

I can't believe the chef was NOT wearing a mask in defiance of COVID, he prepares the FOOD! I feel unsafe ordering from this place because they are uncompliant to the rules of serving food and are blatant in their actions of keeping safe for EVERYONE. The cashier was masked but the chef's are NOT. I will let the community decide if this is acceptable but for me it's irresponsible and callous to think they are the acception to this pandemic. I cannot make a comment about the food because I never made it that far to the counter. We walked in at 5:23 PM on a weeknight and walked out at 5:23 PM.
