We watched a World Cup game here in Pioneer Square while we ate. Great restaurant with a fun modern industrial vibe. Service was great and even without a reservation and during the World Cup we were able to grab a table without too long of a wait. My pasta was delicious and perfectly Al dente. A great restaurant with a fun vibe.

Part Italian restaurant and bar, part shoe store? This is what my dreams are made of. A sunny Friday in May basically means you must find a patio in Seattle, so when we wandered upon the packed Darkalino patio we knew we had to try it. We were greeted by super friendly staff, amazing music, and what might be the funnest concept for a location, at least in my opinion. We ended up interacting with all 3 front staff during our time there, all were so personable, and a great time. We gave them some good laughs when we shared we were in Canada where American liquor is still not being delivered and that we wanted drinks we missed. The food all looked incredible, making selection impossible, but we had appetizer bites that were incredible and I've committed to coming back here.

Only here for drinks, the vibes were nice w/ a wall of sports merch/tennis shoes, like an elevated pub w/ a screen to watch football. Drinks were so so, did not like my warm espresso tonic bev, but the whiskey sour wasn't too bad. Kudos to the bartender seeing that I don't like the drink and he was willing to take it off the bill. I'm def down to come back for dinner and try a different bev on the menu!

I'm a repeat visitor of Darkalino's! I've had brunch a couple times before Seahawks games, and gone for dinner and Happy Hour as well. Both meals are delicious but dinner is my favorite! Service is kind and efficient. I'd recommend Darkalino's for a Date Night spot or even after work drinks at Happy Hour! I love the Espresso Martini, pasta (Primi), and dessert.

We came here before a mariners game. The service was quick, the food was good, although I usually expected meatball subs to a have a bit of marinara in them. I absolutely loved the passion fruit vanilla martini I got with its sweet and sour profile. It's a cute, sporty place inside with both bar and table seating. I saw a large group (8+ people) sitting upstairs so it looks like they can accommodate that. They also run promotions that seem interesting, like $50 for a bottle of wine and two pastas on Wednesdays. Overall, pleasant experience!

I've had a few different experiences here. The first 2-3 times was trying to get dinner and finding they were no longer seating for dinner. They close at 8pm even on First Thursdays in Pioneer Square when there are tons of people in the area for the art walk. I got lunch once and while the service was good, honestly the portion of the caprese sandwich was too big for lunch. I wish they offered a smaller version for a lower price. But it's the same menu/sizes/price for lunch and dinner. While the focaccia is good, it was too heavy and the sandwich felt greasy. I didn't finish it and was too full and felt kinda sick the rest of the afternoon. Months later we finally got here before the 8pm close and were able to get dinner. The pasta was much better than the sandwich. We ordered focaccia as a starter and although I was nervous given my last experience, it was better outside of a sandwich. But it is still VERY filling.

Had a great dining experience here! Our bartender Jacob was super friendly and attentive. The food was actually really good and amazing portions! The chicken Caesar salad was delicious and so was the meatball sandwich with its freshly baked bread! Wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did! I'd definitely recommend and visit again! Pioneer Square was super busy last night due to the open market, so patio was very busy and had a long but we got seated right away at the bar!

My friends have been recommending me to try Darkalino's for a while now and I must say, I love it! Our party of 11 made a reservation for a Tuesday evening and they had set up our table prior to our arrival. My friends recommended to me the clam sauce pasta but our server sadly told our group that they were all out of clams. Oh well, next time! I ordered the pesto pasta and also several orders of garlic bread for the table. If I remember correctly, each order of bread came with 8 pieces. Perfectly garlicky and cheesy and I love that it's made with focaccia bread. My pasta was delicious as well, though it did feel a tad greasy midway through, and if I were to order it again, I would add chicken to help round out the flavors. Overall, had a great time at Darkalino's, service was attentive, and I look forward to trying out their happy hour menu! Just a note that happy hour is from 2-5pm so timing isn't most convenient for most, but I'll definitely give it a try.

We LOVE Darkalinos! It doesn't look or feel like your generic Italian restaurant, but honestly, that's part of what makes it fun! It's right in the middle of historic Pioneer Square and shares a venue with a Sneaker Store, giving it some extra character. The Manu is fairly simple, but everything is delicious! The servers are super nice and friendly and the service is fast! You can tell the pasta is very fresh, cooked perfectly Al Dente! If it means anything, I've gone there with an old co-worker of mine who is VERY Italian, and it's one of his favorite Italian spots in the US. Can't wait to go back!

Came here with some friends before a concert at WAMU theater. We sat in the upstairs section, which was a bit stuffy on a warm day unfortunately. For my drink I had the house spritz. It was great! They have a lot of good drink options to choose from, as well as some non-alcoholic ones. For sharing we got some of the broccolini, which was very lemony and delicious! For my main I got the pesto pasta with chicken. The portion of chicken was huge! I was so impressed. The pasta was great too, as well as the pesto sauce. I was barely able to finish all of it! I would like to come here again, especially because they have a good deal where you can get a bottle of wine and two pastas for $50. It would make a perfect date night dinner.

Great atmosphere with dope music and vibey decor! Friendly staff and speedy service. Pillowy bites of GF gnocchi drenched in a beautiful, light, and creamy pesto sauce danced on my tongue while vibing to the music of the restaurant. Try the Reviver #2 as a cocktail! Cocktail bar is cute and quaint but pacts a punch!

Almost a five! This venue is....like a restaurant/resell sneaker shop/clothing store all in one. The restaurant that was previously here (The London Plane) was a bit similar in that it was a flower shop + restaurant. I happened to be a sneakerhead so seeing sneakers displayed next to where I was eating was quite cool... I guess. To most folks, it could be pretty confusing and random but probably wouldn't hurt their dining experience. Lots of wasted space though I would add - iis very oddly shaped and unnecessarily spacious. Hope they don't have to pay too much rent. The food prices are on the high side but portions are quite large. I also have to always remind myself that dining in Seattle is more expensive than other surrounding cities. The food was simply great. I ordered the meatball sandwich and it was on point. Slightly sweet marinara was very well balanced with the bitter herbs (Basil) and pickled vegetables. Focaccia bread was amazing as well. The sandwich was a bit hard to eat but it is served with a fork and a knife - probably a good hint that you may need them. I got to try my co-worker's vodka sauce pasta and it was delicious as well. Three of us shared the Tiramisu for dessert and it was the perfect size. It came in 3 pieces pre-cut. The server informed us that it was house made using the owner's family recipe. It was very very good but I did not detect much coffee at all. It tasted more like a chocolate cake/pastry. Our server was very attentive and nice. No complaints at all. I will definitely be back to try more dishes and maybe my rating will go up to a five eventually.

Wandered through beautiful Pioneer Square to watch some World Cup and we lucked into a sidewalk table at Darkolino's. LOVELY AND DELICIOUS Truly gracious & relaxed welcoming service. We did a quick share of a cold draft beer, a side of garlicky al dente brocollini and... we both agree... THE BEST FOCACCIA IN SEATTLE. Our neighbors' heaping plates of pasta looked amazing.... can't wait to stop back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Fantastic sandwiches. Pastas are great too. The salad was the only disappointment. Stop in and give it a try.

When they are sold out, they close early, which happens regularly during cruise ship season. We finished a show, arriving there for an "early" dinner at 4pm to find three out of five items on their menu is marked gone. Doh! Luckily, one of the cooks called out one more Ocean left. I yelled, "ME!!!!" It worked; I bought the last seafood pasta. LOL. The owner and chef is Michela Tartaglia, born and raised in Torino, Italy. Pasta Casalinga is consistently selected amongst Seattle's best restaurants. Order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. We help ourselves to utensils, water, and bus our table. The chefs cook quickly and move fast like a lunch time line cook. Pasta and select items can be purchased from their refrigerator. They also supply pasta to be sold at DeLaurenti (afaik). Their menu specifies "EVERYTHING IS PASTA" and "NO CHICKEN". I find it hilarious. The Food: From the Ocean, $24 - 5 Stars Menu: Tagliolini with rockfish Luciana style, Castelvetrano olives, toasted almonds, oregano This dish is a generous pile, with bits of rockfish, loads of olives, light, perfectly sauced. I inhaled this delightful plate! From the Garden, $24 - 5 Stars Menu: Ricciutelle with borlotti bean ragu, pecorino, Aleppo pepper. Added burrata. Though hubby would have enjoyed a meat variant instead, he still liked this one. Looking at this dish, the colors suggest the ingredients are fresh and simply prepared, the way pasta is meant to be prepared. This meal is from earlier this year. I usually engage with someone at a restaurant snd ask for their advice or input when deciding what to order. Salumi is countertop screen or online order only. Staff are focused on making your sandwich and are available to answer questions, but the place gets very crowded and this won't always be possible. I love eggplant parmigiana and was delighted that the sandwich came with a (warm!) cup of marinara. The marinara was a generous portion, a tad spicy, and I soaked up every drop. The sandwich roll was good, average. The toppings were tasty, and sufficient. The eggplant itself was a bit disappointing. The breading was perfectly crispy and light, but the eggplant was sliced so thinly that it was almost an eggplant flavored chip instead of the customary meaty texture. The balance was just off, unfortunately.. Recommend ordering online because this place gets crowded during the lunch rush.

Back on the main floor towards 1st Avenue, there's a busy espresso bar and where one can get an Italian panini or pizza slices to go. Highly recommended while at Pike Place Market. Buon Appetito!
