    Chilaquiles

This place is pretty busy on the weekend but had great reviews so I decided to go back and grab it to go during a weekday. The chilaquiles was really good. It comes with chicken and of course, all the usual ingredients in Chilaquiles but I like to get my scrambled with extra cheese added. I was a little disappointed. They didn't have any fajita beef, but the chicken was still really good. I will definitely go back to get the full dining experience.

I really wanted to like Dandelion Cafe, but the food just did not do it for me. The space itself has a really nice aesthetic. It is large, and I was able to easily find parking, which I appreciated. I ordered the breakfast platter with eggs, hash browns, chicken sausage, and pancakes. The eggs came with shredded cheese that was not melted, which I did not enjoy. The hash browns were not my favorite, and the chicken sausage was a bit dry. The pancake was good, though. The highlight for me was the coffee. That was actually really good, and I would come back for that. Its mostly self service as you order then you receive a buzzer and seat yourself.

Resilience, hope, transformation = dandelion Met some friends on a Saturday at 11 am. It's snuggled up among a neighborhood, close to a park. There is small lot as well as street parking. It was busy. When you get inside there's a holder with menus inside, grab one. There will be a line. You follow it through a short maze to the register where you order. Do not find a table. There's a sign this says you may be asked to get up because of their process. There's inside and outside seating. The menu isn't huge and they do have specials. There's a selection of breakfast items and a small lunch menu. There are cocktails of course too. I went basic since this was my first time and ordered the dandy classic - Choice of bacon, maple sausage, pollo sausage, chorizo or avocado w/2 eggs, roasted hashbrowns, choice of toast. My order: 2 eggs over easy, pollo sausage and sourdough toast The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy which was a win and the pollo sausage was so very delicious; the roasted hash browns were simultaneously crispy and tender soft at the same time and the sourdough toast was not overly dense, I did get strawberry jam which I think might be made in house. Very nice. I had a strawberry lemonade to wash it all down. You pick up your drinks at the bar and there is a buzzer that you leave on your table (has a number) and they bring the food to you. There is a little counter that has silverware, napkins and water. Overall, we had a nice experience, The staff is amazing. The cashier was friendly and not overwhelmed from how busy they were. The guy that delivered the food was so sweet and funny and the staff member that picked up our plates told us it wasn't as busy as usual - say what? I thought it was super busy. The only small thing that was a bit annoying was they charged $1 for the sourdough bread which isn't a big deal but when she asked me what kind of toast - white, wheat or sourdough, there was no mention of an up charge. I would have gotten the sourdough anyway but I like the info. It might have been listed somewhere but I didn't notice it and the cashier never mentioned it. Def would come back but maybe during the week.

I'm so glad Dandelion cafe was my breakfast option of the day. We got their chicken and waffles, it was honestly a big portion size so we were able to share. The chicken was really crispy and well seasoned. Pair with the syrup and spicy butter, a good combo. Their strawberry agua Fresca was delicious as well. I wasn't really impressed with the honey berry smoothie. It was thick or rich, I think requesting an alternative milk than almond milk will rectify that.

Better than the first time I came! Busy on a Friday midday during the holidays so the line to order was long. Gingerbread latte was a good size, very fragrant and festive, I really enjoyed it! The chilaquiles was very tasty, the chips were a nice thickness and crunch. The eggs on top made it filling and protein packed, all the flavors made this a nice savory dish. Would get this again!

I ended up at Dandelion Café after my first breakfast option fell through, and honestly it turned into a great little discovery. I ordered the Dandy Breakfast with eggs over medium, maple sausage, and swapped the toast for a biscuit with apple jam. The food itself was delicious, but about half my order came out wrong, different sausage and strawberry jam instead of what I asked for. I was starving so I just rolled with it, and what I did get still hit the spot. The space has a lot of charm. There's great outdoor seating if the weather cooperates, and the inside is cute without trying too hard. One of my favorite touches was the "make your own mimosa" setup where you can pick your own juice. Little details like that make the place feel fun and personal. Despite the mix-up, I'd definitely come back. Good food, relaxed vibe, and a nice surprise for a backup breakfast plan.

Good food, friendly staff! Seems to stay busy & you stand in line to order so if you're in a rush just be aware you'll have to stand in line! Worth the wait for sure!

Absolutely a 10/10 every single time. The wait can be crazy on a weekend but the line moves quickly and is absolutely worth it. The new location in the heights is a welcome addition and much easier to get to for me than the bellaire location. Food is phenomenal. Service is always incredible & they have my absolutely favorite latte there. always recommending the Brown sugar babe!!! Ugh can't wait to go back!

I visited this location for the first time with my friend. There isn't a lot of parking available but valet is offered as an option. The place is very cozy and nice with lots of seating area. You place your order as you come in and take a pager back to your seat for your food to be brought to you. All the employees were super kind and attentive! I ordered the salmon bagel, iced matcha and chocolate muffin. I would say that my food ($13), drink ($6.5) and muffin (4.5) were affordable! I really liked my meal and would definitely come back to get the same thing! The matcha was also good! I like how it had a good balance of sweetness!

We arrived around noon on a Saturday and it was jamming! This is the kind of place where you make your order at the counter and then find an empty table to sit. Line was quite long but moved fairly quickly. Very cute place! They have inside and outside seating. Drinks: Lavender Dream Latte and Brown Sugar Baby Latte. Excellent coffee!! Their beverages menu has so many great sounding options. Food: Lemon Blueberry French Toast, Pancakes (added strawberries), Housemade Biscuits with jams and a side of maple sausage. The French toast was absolutely delicious! So flavorful and the candied lemon peel was sweet and such a nice touch. Pancakes were large and fluffy but lacked a bit in the flavor department. Beware of the biscuits, although it says 3 it is really 6!! Biscuits were lovely, buttery and dense. The jams that accompanied them were yummy, the strawberry being the best of the 3. The maple sausage is a must! So good!! Overall great breakfast spot and would definitely come back.

Popped in spontaneously before grocery shopping. Decent pastry selection and a good coffee bar. They also have seated breakfast / brunch an outdoor patio! Yum! Need to come back for brunch as we opted for grab n go banana bread and lemon bread!

Love the idea of order then get to go get your seat. Staffs was helpful on making sure I got everything how I wanted and didn't overpay or get too much food so they modified things for me! The buy one get one for a penny mimosas on Monday was great! All food was great quality and flavorful . Bar area was a little dirty but didn't take much for them to come around and clean . Cute interior parking is a little hit or miss . But would definitely recommend

I came for lunch on Saturday around 1 p.m., and the line was crazy long. I'm not sure if it was because it's a new establishment, but I ended up waiting about 30 minutes before I could place my order. Here's what I tried: 1. Big Dandy Omelette - One of the best omelets and breakfast dishes I've ever had! I really enjoyed the cheddar cheese and the filling. The sauce on top tasted like a creamy sriracha and I'd give it a 3/5 on the spice scale. 2. Chicken & Waffle - The chicken was super crispy. 3. Salmon BLTA - This was probably the one dish I'd skip next time. It was mid at best. 4. Strawberries & Cream French Toast - Very sweet and perfect if you're craving dessert for breakfast. Overall, I really enjoyed the food here. However, there were quite a few flies buzzing around the dining area and the food, which took away from the experience a bit.

Between the group we ordered two HOT Chicken Thunder Fries, the HOT MESS fries, three orders of the jumbo chicken tenders and waffles (two hot honey, one plain), a full order of mac and cheese, and the Cheeseburger Fryders. It was a lot of food and somehow it was all hot, fresh, and honestly really good. I love a sweet and savory combo when I'm expecting it, and this place definitely delivers. The waffles reminded me a lot of classic Waffle House waffles and the tenders were huge and actually seasoned well. The loaded fries were seriously loaded too. Lots of sauce, lots of meat, and we definitely didn't feel cheated. We were stuffed and still had leftovers. The only thing I personally wasn't crazy about were the Fryders. I think mini waffles as buns would've been better, but they weren't bad and my friend scarfed them down. Service was quick once we ordered and the staff was super chill. They let us sit there gossiping and picking at food for almost three hours without making us feel rushed, which I really appreciated. A couple small complaints though. Ordering is only through the iPads so you don't really get to ask questions, and the tables could definitely be wiped down a bit more often. Also the AC could be turned down a little... it was pretty cold in there. That said, the prices are actually pretty reasonable for The Heights. I spent a little over $50 myself and didn't feel scammed one bit considering how much food we ordered. Funny enough we originally tried to go to their Alabama location on Sunday but the line was out the door and parking was a nightmare. My friend literally drove off and told us to cancel. We ended up driving about 26 minutes to this location instead and honestly I'm glad we did. Great food, quick turnaround, and a fun spot to hang out for a while. We'll definitely be back.

There is a matcha restaurant right next door (called "Isa"), make sure you aren't standing in line for that one, make sure you go inside the actual restaurant (unlike us). They have a kiosk that you can order from and have a pretty extensive menu, so many flavors, sauces, and customization add-ons. I went with the classic Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich Deluxe (add-on) + HOT Honey substitution (add-on), side of regular fries, side of White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. We didn't go during a busy moment so it took only about 10 minutes for them to make our order. Their sandwiches are to DIE for, I would recommend you ask for your sandwich to be cut in half. The chicken was fresh, sauce was sweet and flavorful, they put the right amount of sauce along with tomatoes, lettuce and other add-ons. My rating of the sandwich is 9.4/10, it is literally the perfect sandwich if the sandwich wasn't disintegrating on me, but I think that is a good thing, wouldn't want a crunchy waffle sandwich. The mac & cheese was also very good, would give a 8.1/10, if they crusted their mac & cheese, it would be 10 times better. Would also recommend a bit of a kick, but it complemented the meal pretty well. All in all, this was a great place to stop by for lunch, they had a patio that we sat outside and ate at on a beautiful day. The front cashier was very helpful, walking us through the entire menu and giving us his best recommendations, definitely bettered our experience. For the quality of the meal, the pricing is also very reasonable as well. I would recommend if you are around the area, to stop by and enjoy a meal at this establishment. For happy hour, we ordered the wings, a lemon drop, and the cheeseburger sliders. First thing to note: they don't let you bring your water bottle to your table, so they held my Owala behind the host stand for me. Not a huge deal, just something to know before you go. The service was good, but the food does have a bit of a wait. Even though it wasn't busy when we got there, it still took a little minute for the food to come out, so I'd expect it to take longer during busier times. That said, everything came out hot and fresh, and the lemon drop was really good. The only issue was that my first batch of wings had a hair in them. I let the waitress know, and she took them back right away. The replacement wings didn't come out immediately either--it was another little wait--but the new batch came out fresh and hot with no issues. I did really like the happy hour deals. The wings, lemon drop, and cheeseburger sliders came out to $25.99, which felt like a really good value because I was full and still had leftovers. Overall, it was a good experience and I would return. Finding hair in my food was definitely a turnoff, especially on a first visit, but the food, drinks, pricing, and the way the staff handled it still left me with a positive impression.

Was visiting and was given this as a suggestion by our hotel. The food was excellent, however, the…read moreservice could use some help. My wife ordered a lavender lemon drop martini and the server asked if she wanted tequila or vodka with it. Martinis aren't made with tequila. Drinks were delivered. I ordered a Tito's and lemonade and there was no ice in it. My wife was served a lavender margarita. She recognized immediately that the drink had tequila. After a few minutes we were able to get the servers attention and let him know. He took the drink back to the bar and a couple of minutes later came back with it and said the bartender made her cocktail with Tito's. A manager came over and asked what the issue was with margarita. Told him that the issue was she didn't order a margarita and had ordered a martini. She declined the drink and ordered the same Tito's and lemonade that I had ordered, which was also served warm. When I received the bill they didn't take the wrong drink off the bill. But discounted her Tito's and lemonade $1.20. At the end of the meal we had asked for the bill. The server returned and informed me that since we made our reservation on Open Table they collected a $50 per person fee to secure the reservation and it clearly stated it would be applied to the bill. No issues there. I've been to restaurants before that do this. Protects the restaurant on no shows. But the server said that our bill didn't reach that $100 threshold. The bill he brought was $80 and change. I asked if the tip could just be applied and get to the $100. Now the same manager returns and says that the $100 fee is intended to be non refundable but will make an exception for me and showed that he refunded the reservation fee. Looking over the bill before giving them my card they already had a 15% gratuity built in to the $80. I can't ever remember going to a restaurant that had the gratuity already built into the check total unless it was a large group. Good food. Poor service.
