I went to brunch on Saturday at 2pm. We had a reservation it was a party of five. This area is super busy. There was a parking deck arrive early . We were seated right away. The decor is beautiful. There is an area with flowers to take pictures. The food came out pretty quickly, and the restaurant was full. The prices are fair for the food. I got a Nutella French toast. I liked it but it was a lot of Nutella almost overwhelming amount. It overpowered the French toast. I also got chicken sausage which I appreciate the selection because I don't eat pork. The fruit on top was fresh. Overall a very nice experience.

This was such an adorable atmosphere!! It is perfect for a a birthday brunch or girls day out. The food was so delicious. I ordered the crab cake Benedict and the stuffed has brown and they were both amazing! I also love the tea. My tea came in a cute, vintage style teapot which was really cool. I would love to come back sometime just for tea and pastries. Plenty of parking in the area as well!

Came here for a birthday breakfast and it did not disappoint. You definitely need a reservation which we had so no issue when we arrived with wait time. We sat on the patio and it was a little chilly so they turned on the heaters for us and brought us shawls. The food and drinks were great and beautifully presented. I tried the strawberry French toast, iced mocha, and lychee rose martini. Since it was my birthday they also gave me a free rose which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend this place for a cute girl's brunch!

Ambiance 10/10, Food 10/10, and Service 10/10. I was in town visiting and had seen social media videos recommending Little Hen so I met up with my friend for brunch and it was just what we needed. I ordered the English Breakfast tea and Belgium waffle with chocolate sauce. I would have licked the cup that held the chocolate sauce clean if I was at home. I got about 4 cups of tea out of the teapot. My meal was delicious. My friend ordered their iced matcha, torched grapefruit, and eggs any style with a croissant. She also enjoyed her meal. I'd 100% go back and order the exact same thing. We dined inside since it was sweltering outside but on a nice day, it would be ideal to sit out on the patio since it's a floral wonderland. If you're looking for an instagrammable brunch spot with food that is also tasty, this is the place.

Wow the vibes, the vibes, the vibes!!!! This restaurant is gorgeously decorated with real and artificial flowers throughout with gentle pink palette throughout. The menu includes drinks teas brunch and afternoon tea. They take reservations through resy.com and I highly recommend making a reservation as they were packed on the weekend with little to no space for walk-ins during peak periods. If you're planning to walk in suggest late afternoon but make reservations if you don't wanna walk away disappointed. I came here for afternoon tea with my friend for her birthday, and we were immediately seated at reservation time. They asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and when informed it was my friend's birthday, they gave her a single pink rose to celebrate - so very classy! Sometimes when you go for afternoon tea, it is often expensive and the food quality fairly low, but you do it anyways because you love the multi-tier plating and beautiful vibes; however, at Little Hen, the food, the tea and the vibes were all equally amazing and I would make this a regular stop for afternoon tea lovers! I plan to come here every time I come to visit Houston! Afternoon tea, including four sandwiches, two scones, macarons, petite fours and a giant pot of tea is $42 dollars per person. The scones are accompanied by lemon curd, clotted, cream, and fresh strawberry preserves. Every single item was delicious. I cannot stress how good the food here was! It is located in the River Oaks shopping complex so there is a parking lot nearby. There is outdoor and indoor seating. I cannot wait to return to try the other menu items. I found the service a bit mixed. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming however, our waitress was often busy or not visible anywhere so we had to flag down anyone we could find to get help needed. Once flagged, we were immediately helped, but I thought the MIA waitress was a bit strange and it affected our experience when we ran out of cream, jam and tea. Nevertheless, overall, I really enjoyed our afternoon tea experience here and can't wait to return.

My cousin wanted to take me out for brunch and for some weird reason I never had little hand but I always wanted to try it. Parking was really easy as we got a spot right in front of the restaurant. We had reservations, as is required, and got to our table very quickly. But first..pictures in the flower archway. I didn't necessarily like our table because it was right in the Sun. However, there was no other spot because I had my one year old niece with us in a stroller. Everything we ordered: FRENCH TOAST BOURBON BATTER: bacon strips, caramelized pear, vanilla sauce 9/10 This seemed like it was on a brioche toast and it was one of the most deliciously thick and fluffy french toast I've had in a while. salmon eggs benedict SMOKED SALMON: red onion, dill 10/10 Everything work together. Just everything. The best salmon eggs benedict I've ever had and I've had several. Everything worked harmoniously well flavor-wise and the salmon was beautifully smoked. Pork sausages 9/10 These were nice and hot. They were a good size and good flavor. The casing wasn't too thick and it was a very easy chew. Stuffed hash - my cousin said she really liked this. But, she said she didn't notice that in the previous pictures it was much more but I guess... The economy has caused things to change? The BEST tea ever: Little Hen House Tea mint, honey & lemon. A very very easy 10/10. How incredibly delicious this tea was. I could have ordered 10,000 kettles to take home. It was sweet but not too sweet and beautifully lemony and honey and the mint was a nice perfect cherry on top. The combination was so yummy and warming to the soul. Caviar omelette: smoked salmon, cream cheese, caviar, chives - my cousin said this is pretty good. She did also notice a change in size from previous pictures and reviews though. An assortment of English scones served with clotted cream, strawberry compote and lemon curd. Flavors: Blueberry & Lemon 10/10 Orange 8/10 The scones were truly tasty. I have scones before and I'm so glad these weren't as hard as they typically are. They were nice, and warm, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Not too sweet but sweet enough. I want to return for some other menu items and definitely to try the high tea experience.

I was greeted as I walked up. The server came to our table to take drink orders. Strange but I don't recall her introducing herself. The service was helpful answering all our questions, but it was not consistent. We asked for things and items kept getting missed. My food came to the table, and I had asked if the steak on my plate could not be well done and I was told she would see what she could do but then she never came back to tell me what would happen like if it was possible . The food came to the table and honestly, I was disappointed. The steak was overdone and there wasn't very much of it on the plate. I paid $30 for fries and eggs. Perhaps it was my own bad choice for choosing the item on the menu, but if I had been told that the steak could only be well done, I would've changed my order. I feel like based on the atmosphere this is not a place for babies or toddlers. I can see people bringing their young daughters to enjoy afternoon tea.

First time and it won't be the last. Upon arriving, noticed the outside decorations especially the Arch leading to the back patio. The decorations were impeccable. Once inside, we were received by a welcoming hostess and waitress. Once we were seated, the waitress explained to us how the menu was structured and explained to us the payment system. Which I found to be very transparent. No hidden fees. Ordered the BLT with fries and they both were top tier. The fry's were seasoned to perfection with the right amount of salt. The sandwich itself was one of the best I ever had. All the condiments complemented each other to make a perfect blend and once you bite into it, the taste lingered. The most intriguing part of the experience was the vibe. It felt like I was a scene from the Young and Restless. You had females in their spring colors taking pictures and the patrons were a mixture of all ages having their own intimate conversations and interactions. Definitely will be back.

Absolutely loved the food. The fries we got were not fresh but still good. I'm a tea person and got the milk oolong tea. My friend got the Rose Chai that tasted very much watered down but had a strong rose infused taste. I will def be back. We sat outside which was nice and the birds flying around were a great addition to the anesthetic of the restaurant. Our server, Gianni/Giovanni was great.

I recently dined at Little Hen Restaurant in Houston, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The service however was 10/10. Our waitress (name starts with a D sorry) was phenomenal. She answered all our questions and was very attentive. The disappointment was in the food. The food lacked flavor and freshness, 2/10 Chai lattes arriving lukewarm (had to have them brought back hotter). All entrees were lacking. Only items that were good were the hash brown, torched grapefruit and the tea. Great presentation and ambience. Great pl for pics. Overall, it did not meet our expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it to others looking for a satisfying dining experience in Houston.

This cute little place reminds me of being in the United Kingdom. From the decor, to the menu options.... I mean, who else has afternoon tea? What makes this place unique is the experience, the food, and of course, the tea. Yes you can get alcohol, but that's not why I came here. The staff are extremely friendly. They are more than happy to make recommendations and tell you what to get as well what you should be reconsider. I saw this place while working at a work event across the street. I decided to stop by and I'm glad I did. Make sure you make reservations because the place had a long line.

The location is great close to other restaurants and the galleria . The restaurant itself is a nice vibe elegant looking with some soft background music. The service was ok for it being a nice looking restaurant I'd think the waitress come to our table and check on us a bit , but never did I couldn't order more because she only came once we were done . As for the food the chilaquiles and the banana foster French toast were great the French toast was a little on the sweeter side but delicious the chilaquiles should at least have one more egg if you're going to charge $18 , the Canadian bacon eggs Benedict sucked the house potatoes need flavor those were bland and the eggs benedict just tasted like nothing the muffin was tough that dish for sure I wouldn't get again I don't recommend it . Overall not a bad place to try out . Definitely a nice different vibe

What is not to love about this super chic instagram worthy restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic and the vibe is on another level. Smallish and thus you must have reservations. Free parking in garage down the street

Sure, Houston weather should be good at that time.

It seems as if the only time available for a party of 5 is at 8 a.m? Has anyone here ever booked 5 or more and what was the process to get a decent time booked and not 8 a.m?

What is the dress theme they request?

They say dress up. But many are wearing shirts and jeans. Men with trucker hats. Basically they do not enforce nothing.

Do they do walk in, it's March and their booked till mid April 🤷🏽‍♀️?

I also noticed that sometimes reservations open the day before - presumably people canceling. If you're willing to go early (like 8am), you may be able to catch a last-minute spot. It's probably also a little easier on weekdays.

Is it kid's friendly?

There was one child there when I went, but I would not say this is an establishment for kids

After ordering, tables were cleaned consistently and service was friendly. Only feedback about seating was outside parties would take chairs from other tables and leave them with no seating and not all tables we're shaded. The drinks being available at the bar when it is busy and then food being delivered to the table was a bit clunky. I picked up water and utensils for our party before sitting and would have preferred to have to pick everything up at the counter or have everything brought to the table to avoid multiple trips around when the restaurant is busy.

Parking can be challenging on weekends, but there is complimentary valet and a few extra spots in a lot across the street. There's interior and exterior seating, with cozy booths and tables. Service is friendly. Chips and salsa: Superica has some of my favorite chips, crispy and thin and perfectly fried. The avocado crema salsa and warm serrano pepper salsas are delicious with a mild kick. The bottled red salsa is fresh and green salsa packs a nice punch. Migas: Scrambled eggs with tortilla chips and cheese, choice of chicken versus chorizo on top, finished with fresh avocado. I really enjoyed this combination and the generous portion for the price. The eggs are well scrambled without being dry, and the pairing with cheese is proportional. The chicken was a touch dry, but some salsa solved that well. I enjoyed stuffing each component into a fresh tortilla and devouring it as a breakfast taco. Refried beans and rice: Really delicious. The refried beans are of the smoother variety without as much chunkiness, which I prefer, and topped with creamy cheese. I could have used a touch more tomato in the rice, but overall enjoyed the texture and flavor. Patatas with salsa roja, topped with egg: I enjoyed the flavors in this dish, but there was sooo much salsa. The potatoes were thus a little soggy, though still cooked well. The over medium egg was cooked nicely and complemented the potatoes with creamy yolk. Bacon: Really generous portion for $7 as a side, and cooked well. Crispy potatoes: I enjoy that these are fingerling potatoes smashed and roasted, but they could be crispier. They seem to be on the blander side on purpose to allow seasoning to taste, and I really like pairing them with the red bottled salsa provided at each table (probably due to their association with ketchup). Hotcakes: The literal star of every brunch, these hotcakes are consistently delicious. They're massive yet somehow cooked perfectly through so that they're fluffy and soft on the inside and just with a slight crunch on the outside. The pairing of the creamy warm (!!!) maple syrup is heavenly. Because of how huge these are, usually one is enough to share between two people, although they also come in stacks of two and three. For reference, we finished 3/4 of three between four healthy and hungry people and it wasn't for lack of trying. Whenever I crave weekend brunch, Superica is always a top option.

It brought back memories of the last time I dined at one of their locations in Atlanta some years ago. We both ordered the Smoked Salmon Scramble which comes with three scrambled eggs with chopped wood-smoked salmon and dill cream cheese. We both decided to get the moon-dusted potatoes and I ordered a side of grits. I asked for the hollandaise sauce to be put on the side of my potatoes instead of on top, and my husband opted out of the sauce altogether. The sauce added a nice touch, it was very tasty. The dish also came with their infamous fluffy flying biscuit that comes with your choice of butter or cranberry apple butter, or both. The cranberry apple butter is delicious. We were seated right away. For the day before Christmas it wasn't busy at all. Our server was so friendly and helped us to decide on what to get and she was spot on! Everything was great. It's a very casual atmosphere. A place where you can get a great meal and sit and socialize when you're done.

Finally got to try h to e Flying Biscuit Cafe near Memorial Mall…read more Unfortunately it was a lackluster experience. We'd both experienced Flying Biscuit in Atlanta and had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately it fell flat. I ordered the eggs Benedict. And what can I say? I hate to be critical but honestly there was nothing good about this meal except the fact that it was edible. The eggs came out raw/extremely runny. I've had eggs Benedict many times and I understand how it can be difficult to prepare. But it shouldn't be raw. When I let them know, they brought me back basically like a boiled egg, which is also not eggs Benedict lol. The hollandaise sauce was also not the best. Hard to describe why but was kind of lackluster. Next came the grits. Grits were kind of pasty. Maybe because I'm from the south and know what they should taste like if you're gonna call them "creamy". They were also overly salted along with the potatoes that I got instead of the grits. Potatoes were not really seasoned, but just salty. So overall, I was kind of disappointed with my experience here. As I mentioned, the food was edible. The bread that the Benedict came on was pretty good. It may be that this is just something I shouldn't order here. Maybe I should've went with the biscuits! We'll see if we end up trying it again. There's so many amazing brunch places in Houston, most likely not but you never know! Lots of people love this place and I'm sure there's good reason.
