Came here to eat on a Saturday when the weather was lovely with our dogs! The patio was so nice! We walked right in around 1pm and had no wait which was a blessing they brought little bowls for water for our boys! My husband got the bacon & cheddar omelet , he said the potatoes were incredible ! I got the ahi tuna poke it was fresh and delicious just like I like

Hungry's is located walking distance from us so we normally walk to allow our toddler to bike in. There's a bike rack out front so we just leave his little bike and ask to be seated on the patio. The outdoor patio is nice and modern, and very pleasant lately with the nice night time weather in Houston lately! I can see how it'll be hot once it warms up! There's plenty of TVs on the patio to catch any games, and makes for a casual experience. Both times we came, service was fantastic! They give the kiddos these origami sheets so they can fold up little birds! They have a decent kids menu - mine loves the spaghetti and meatballs, but it only comes with 3 meatballs. He's more of a meatball kid and less interested in the carbs/noodles. It comes with a kids drink - he usually wants milk, and a cookie - red velvet was the only option he had both times. Hubby loves the ceviche and I always go back to the honey salmon and french green beans. The portions are small but they allowed me to just get green beans and omit the rice! We enjoy ourselves here and always devour all the food! Glad to have this option in the village.

Hungry's is a pretty modernized restaurant nestled in the Rice Village community. It's a pretty casual restaurant that offers lots of different food options so they have something for everyone and an item for whatever you're in the mood for. There's valet services offered outside because self parking options are limited. The staff is very friendly and they have great customer service.

This was my first time here and it definitely won't be the last ! Came for a lunch with a friend! Sat on the outdoor patio and it was very nice. Wait staff were very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu! I had the gyro pita and fries and the gyro pita was so flavorful and a great portion. Before our entrees came out we started with the fire roasted Brussels which were also amazing and super flavorful!! Will definitely be back!

Anaheim Grilled Chicken

Hungry's killed it yet again with food and service today! Enjoyed some iced mint tea on the beautiful patio. We ordered the Anaheim chicken and the fried chicken version. Chicken was cooked perfectly on both, made potatoes were creamy and tasty, and Anaheim sauce was on point. Pita bread...always the highlight of the meal! Service was friendly, attentive, packed up our food at the end of our meal. We will be back for some other tasty dishes very soon!

Mocha espresso, strawberry lemonade

The food is consistently delicious. It is hard to find eggs Benedict, but here they have 3 versions of the dish. Each one is unique in its flavor and very tasty. I would come back here just for that!

Hungry's is one of my favorite spots for happy hour in Rice Village. It's every day from 3-6pm. They have a large selection of appetizers and drinks to choose from, and everything is at a great price! The drinks are good, but the appetizers are better. Their baked goat cheese & cashew queso is savory and delicious. Even though I'm not vegan, the cashew queso is a must try! The service is attentive and there are a couple pleasant outdoor seating options. The upper balcony is my favorite spot to unwind with friends on an any afternoon!

Amazing food, and great service, the guy who served us was very nice and recommended us this two dishes for me and my wife, we loved it. There was a football game in the near stadium so we could see from the balcony all the fans walking by. Very fun atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and try lite food

Beautiful and incredibly tasty--pear martini...

Creative and beautifully crafted cocktails! Upstairs with Joey... The upstairs patio is perfect year-round.

I was here for a large business dinner. The staff handled our group of 20 plus well. The menu was prearranged by our planner but there were plenty of entree choices to make everyone happy. Everyone had hummus with pita and veggie sticks as an appetizer and then there was a wedge salad course. I liked the jalapeno feta dressing more than I expected. The perfect amount of salty and heat. As an entree I had the fettucine bianca with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were perfect and the fettucine was tasty. For dessert, I had the butterscotch pudding which was yummy. Service was great and they got us all fed and happy quickly. Oh and btw the Cuban cocktail? perfection!

Always enjoy Brunch here. Great service, good food, and awesome vibe for brunch... especially before the Texans game !

Nurtured // Falafel Bowl
Cindy S.

I was pleasantly surprised by the falafel bowl I got for lunch here. It was a large portion and quite tasty. My iced mint tea was good, too! But honestly the parking situation is a huge turn-off. There are 5 spaces for self-parking and everyone else has to valet... it's kind of ridiculous for a place that isn't that upscale, in my opinion. Also, the bathroom was gross.

Hungry's Kabob Plate big portion sizes and delicious. Beautiful spacious dog friendly patio
Nhu H.

I absolutely love hungry's. I have been here multiple times and everytime I come the food, the service, the ambiance is perfect. I love that their spacious outdoor patio is dog friendly and the staff are all so attentive and friendly. They have multiple fans and umbrellas outside to fight the heat. My group of 4 came on a Saturday night with our two fur babies and we were immediately seated. We ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl, the kebab plate and my go to favorite is the falafel bowl. Food was delicious. Portion sizes are big and enough to take home. I still prefer their brunch over their dinner but dinner was still good. I love this place so much I'm planning to have my wedding rehearsal dinner here. Check this place out if you haven't done so already!

The oat latte my friend got was creamy, well balanced and wonderful. We got the eggs, sausage, and cheese taco, chicken gumbo empanada, and the beef empanada and each one was delicious. The breakfast taco really hit the spot. Just right amount of salty, gooey cheese, and meat. Made my day. The empanadas are huge, enough for two people. Another awesome visit.

Grinder's Coffee Bar came up and it was right across the street so I made my way over. I arrived around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. I parked in their small complimentary lot and made my way inside. Ambiance (3.5/5): Grinder's is basically two spots in one. When you walk in, there's a small counter where you place your order. And a handful of seats. From there, you wan walk into a more spacious second room that houses a CBD shop. And more seating along with the bathroom. I sat at a couch in the CBD area. While weed isn't my thing, if you're into both weed and coffee, that makes for a nice one-two punch for you. There isn't a ton of seating, less so than most coffee shops. Luckily, since it was a weekday, I didn't have any trouble. I wonder if that's different on the weekends. They also have free WiFi if you'd like to linger and work or study. Service (2.5/5): The menu is a little confusing because they have a menu on the counter and a menu on the wall with different items. I didn't see that there was a menu on the counter until I was about to place an order. They also have some beverages in a cooler that aren't on either menu. Not the best set up. Service wasn't terribly friendly either. Food (N/A): Since I just had lunch prior, no food for me. They have a small, but appetizing number of pastries and small bites for sale if you get the munchies (pun intended). Drinks (3.5/5): I'm not a coffee drinker so take this with a grain of salt. When I go to a coffee shop, I like coffee shops that still have a nice selection of teas and juices. Grinder's has a small number of teas that can be made either hot or iced. I went with one, iced, and sweetened with agave (for a surcharge). I liked it and the price was reasonable. They also had a mocktail of sorts that was available on their seasonal menu, although like most mocktails, overpriced. While not really my vibe, if you're a CBD person, Grinder's will be right up your alley. It's a unique spot and located in a great part of town.

I've ordered both espresso and matcha lattes, and although I'm more of a coffee person they were both so tasty! Parking is also very easy. I will definitely be back! I've also tried a pilates class at their attached studio which was a lot of fun! I…read morefirst learned about Duo through signing up for a pilates class, and I fell in love with the place more through the people and the vibes in the connected coffeehouse. From a chat with the barista, I learned that Duo started because the husband had a love for coffee and the wife had a passion for pilates, so they thought "why not combine the two?" The River Oaks location is the founding store and they have since expanded to a second location as well. The people who work here truly seem happy and are eager to share the stories of their founders, which makes the place even more special. During my visit, I tried the birthday cake latte, which is a seasonal drink, and the flavors were also beyond what I've tried elsewhere. I'm typically not a fan of birthday cake flavored items, but I was feeling adventurous so I told the barista to surprise me with a drink from their menu and that's the flavor they ended up picking for me. When I received the birthday cake latte, I wasn't all that excited but all prejudice fell away after the first sip! I didn't adjust any sugar or ice levels like I typically do for my drinks, yet the drink was just right! Overall, I am just amazed by the people, the vision, and the gem of a place that I sort of happened into on a random weekend. I will definitely be returning again frequently for pilates, lattes, and/or fun conversations. Pro tip: initially it looks like visitors have to use street parking, but I confirmed with the staff that the parking lot across from the coffeehouse is free to use as well. Pro tip #2: there is option to order ahead with the QR code in image attached. I have not tried, but that may help skip the lines and make it easier for drink pickup. Pro tip#3: going for pilates here makes it so much easier to grab a quick bite or drink before/after workout!
