During a recent visit with my sister and boyfriend, we were browsing the store when a young female employee approached us to ask if we needed assistance. We declined, letting her know we were just browsing. She then proceeded to ask if we were shopping for bags for ourselves. Again, we said no, at which point I replied, "It doesn't matter, we're just browsing." My boyfriend then asked her where the nearest restroom was, and she did assist him. However, as he walked away, she muttered to my sister and me, "Good luck, you're going to need it." We were completely caught off guard by this inappropriate and confusing comment. Her tone and attitude throughout the interaction were standoffish and rude. I take accountability that we too started to act frustrated, we understand her job is to sell us things but as customers if we decline help, employees should definitely take a step back and just let us browse the store. Already frustrated by her persistence after we had declined help, her unnecessary remark escalated the situation. We asked her to clarify what she meant and questioned her behavior, but she began avoiding us. When we told her we felt her customer service was unacceptable, she replied sarcastically with, "Yours too," which only added to our confusion and concern. Shockingly, she then called mall security on us, claiming we were being disruptive. This accusation was completely unfounded -- we were not loud, or aggressive. There were other customers nearby who could attest to this. When we asked to speak to a supervisor, she stated that she herself was the manager. If that is indeed true, her conduct is especially concerning. A manager should be held to a higher standard, and her behavior was anything but professional. She also refused to provide her name when asked, so I informed her I would be taking a photo of her in order to submit a formal complaint. She objected, claiming she was afraid of being posted online -- despite already appearing on the official sun valley BoxLunch Instagram account. So out of respect I won't upload the photo I took of her, but I did find her on the main page and her name is Hailey. This contradiction only added to the lack of accountability she displayed throughout the encounter. On top of that we were asking her to provide us with a phone number to higher management to call in a complaint and she gave us 2 non working numbers and at the end just gave us the general customer service number. I've always enjoyed shopping at BoxLunch, but this experience has completely changed my view. It is extremely disappointing to see someone in a managerial role act so unprofessionally and disrespectfully toward customers. I hope this matter is taken seriously and properly addressed by upper management.

They came in three different flavors, Banana, Original, and Cheese, and I tried all three. Every flavor was fantastic! The texture was also really good - they were super crispy, and the flavor was addicting. I'm sad I didn't grab more than I did because some of the flavors have already sold out. The thing with Grocery Outlet is once something is gone, there's a good chance you won't see it again. But I know other new and interesting things will eventually show up, so I don't fret. Also, keep an eye out for their discounted items. I found a Pistachio Pound Cake and couldn't resist it since the whole container was only $2. Unfortunately, I ended up not super liking it because it had a strong bitter aftertaste, which I'm sure came from the use of pistachio essence, so it just wasn't my cup of tea. But for $2 for a whole container, it was still a steal, I think.

Yesterday during our visit at the checkout line, our checker, Gilvania is the name on the receipt, was not very kind to my mom when it took her a moment to move forward.. not okay! Her and I would have had words but that would have embarrassed my mom further. My mom's mobility issues are obvious, that was rude and embarrassing for an old sweet lady. How do I talk her into coming back again? Thumbs down this time around. Check your people.

We found two dresses that she liked and wanted to try on. I walked up to the counter and asked if someone could unlock the dressing room door. She stood at the dressing room doorway while my daughter tried on her dresses. My daughter needed help zipping up her dress and wanted me to see how the dresses fit. Every time the dressing room door opened the worker turned around and watched us, making for an uncomfortable experience. My daughter got dressed and came out, as we approached the doorway of the dressing room entrance the lady immediately started reaching for the dresses and asked which one we were buying! I told her can we think about it first and why are we being rushed?! I said a matter of fact why were we being so closely watched? She immediately lied and said she watches everyone when they're in the dressing room. That was a complete LIE! I mentioned that she wasn't watching the other two ladies that were in the dressing room when I came to ask for a room. My daughter immediately said "that's ok mom I no longer want to buy a dress here!" She and I felt extremely uncomfortable and definitely rushed. Some would say it's because of so many thieves that they are on a high alert but I'm not buying that...the other women were Hispanic and we are BLACK! Then several more days for them to process the return (I'm at this stage right now with my online return) and a few more days to see my refund. What a HUGE hassle!!!!!!! I don't really shop here - I have done so once in the past (last year) in store during a sale for a down jacket which I have to this day and is one of my favorites, very lightweight and keeps me warm. Now I know better than to shop online - or be mindful of the exact size I need before ordering.

Luckily, Liz was in the area and offered to honor my order despite it being out of the pickup window because I never received an email. It's typical for emails to be sent to spam but I didn't receive anything in either spam/junk or inbox folders. Paid the EXACT price I was originally paying for my online order thanks again, Liz!
