If you are looking for affordable everyday times this is a perfect place. I've bought lots of kitchen, storage, beauty products, stationery goodies and snacks and drinks throughout the years. Price has definitely increased and not all items are $1.75. Only 4/5 stars because cell service doesn't work whenever I'm in there. I like that they have self checkout as well which I use. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking.

Various sizes of dishes for feeding my foster kittens

I really like this store!! I foster kittens & was looking for the right size/ depth dishes for their wet food. It might seem trivial, but it's important that the dish is shallow, small, not plastic, & easy to clean. Petco is just absurdly expensive & the bowls are so big that doing dishes for so many kittens was overwhelming. Daiso's wide selection of dishes allowed me to find a variety of beautiful, ceramic dishes that are easy for the kittens to eat from, don't make too big of a mess, & REALLY makes clean up so much easier. And the price was even better than Amazon! They also have great garden stuff! The only thing I dont like is that there are no U.S. prices on the items so it made it was more difficult to figure out how much things cost. But otherwise, awesome!

Okay, I have an obsession with Daiso. Hear me out. Daiso has everything, and I mean everything. Whatever you need, Daiso probably has. You can refer to the price conversion charts posted around the store to find out the price of an item, otherwise items are $1.75 by default if there is no specified price. It doesn't get any better than that. I like to take my time walking through each aisle to see what I can find. There is always something new, so each visit is a fresh experience. I've gotten lots of things from here--mostly organizational stuff, cases, cable management stuff, etc. And with cute designs to! I'm ALWAYS down for cute designs. My only gripe is that this location is smaller than the other locations around the Bay Area, meaning that walking room is tight and the aisles can get kind of cramped. But it's so worth it.

Like a cross between the $5 dollar store and an Asian market. Lots of unusual items, but set up like the Dollar store. Housewares, personal care items, yummy Asian snacks and candies. Arts and crafts supplies, back to school needs, fun place to look around even if you aren't in need. Clean, easy access to everything, it is well organized. You have to know your prices if you really care, can be overpriced. Inventory is limited so buy what you like now. Staff friendly and well informed.

I love Daiso!! Bought socks for my chair legs were perfect, I bought 6 pack of 4.. They were 1.75 for a pack of 4.. Great customer service, friendly, not an expensive store.. This is one of my favorite stores

Daiso has a VARIETY of items for you. However, this particular store is a little smaller in comparison to other places. So you may not find things that you are looking for here. Food, snacks, office supplies, electronics, gardening, and cooking are just a few of the many categories represented here. Visiting a Daiso is always a pleasant experience. Items are neatly arranged and well-stocked in the store's aisles. There are a plethora of options available to you right here. Daiso is a popular place in Japan, and I'm happy to see it making its way to the States! It's one of the main reasons I go to Daiso that some of the cleaning utensils or organization products for very specific purposes aren't available in American stores. However, the availability of certain items is not always guaranteed. On weekdays, when there are fewer customers and more inventory, I prefer to shop there. They do have a snack section which, again, is a hit or miss. So if you like anything, grab it before it's gone!

It's like an 'upscale' Dollar Tree store (I know, oxymoron) - quite a few items are from Japan / have a Japanese influence.

They'll be 20 people in the self serve line which only has 4 registers and one is always broke and they refuse to get a new person on one the regular registers. I don't get it. You see this giant line of people going well into the aisle and target employers walking around laughing and doing nothing and no new register will be open. When this store eventually goes out of business, and trust me a store this poorly run always does, no one will shed a tear. The one time I got into a regular line, the guy at the register was going so slow and it looked like he was talking to the person he was checking out but she didn't seem interested. Then upon further inspection, he was rapping to himself and the lady was super uncomfortsble because it was so unprofessional and he was purposely going super slow while he was rapping Then halfway through he stops to look at some pictures on another employees phone while everyone in line is just standing there. This type of "work ethic" is encouraged at this place I just put my items down and left the store. Never again.

(If you've read my last two Marshalls stores reviews on this day, you'll know my supporting enthusiasm for bargain hunting had reached its limit! :-) That said, even in my bargain-fatigued state, I could see why my significant other was excited about this one. According to her, this Pleasant Hill location had the best selection of the day--and judging by the crowd, plenty of others agreed. It was the busiest of the three stores we visited, and while that meant things were a bit scattered (thanks to customers leaving items everywhere), the merchandise itself was impressive. I spotted a lot of familiar brand names on everything from shoes to clothes to home goods. This store seems like a solid place to find quality items without paying full price. While she was happily exploring, I hung out near the entrance and ended up chatting with a couple of staff members. Even though they were clearly busy, they were still answering questions and helping customers with genuine smiles. It was actually kind of fun to watch. We wrapped up our day with a few more great finds. She was happy--and that's a win in my book.
