If you are looking for affordable everyday times this is a perfect place. I've bought lots of kitchen, storage, beauty products, stationery goodies and snacks and drinks throughout the years. Price has definitely increased and not all items are $1.75. Only 4/5 stars because cell service doesn't work whenever I'm in there. I like that they have self checkout as well which I use. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking.

Various sizes of dishes for feeding my foster kittens

I really like this store!! I foster kittens & was looking for the right size/ depth dishes for their wet food. It might seem trivial, but it's important that the dish is shallow, small, not plastic, & easy to clean. Petco is just absurdly expensive & the bowls are so big that doing dishes for so many kittens was overwhelming. Daiso's wide selection of dishes allowed me to find a variety of beautiful, ceramic dishes that are easy for the kittens to eat from, don't make too big of a mess, & REALLY makes clean up so much easier. And the price was even better than Amazon! They also have great garden stuff! The only thing I dont like is that there are no U.S. prices on the items so it made it was more difficult to figure out how much things cost. But otherwise, awesome!

Okay, I have an obsession with Daiso. Hear me out. Daiso has everything, and I mean everything. Whatever you need, Daiso probably has. You can refer to the price conversion charts posted around the store to find out the price of an item, otherwise items are $1.75 by default if there is no specified price. It doesn't get any better than that. I like to take my time walking through each aisle to see what I can find. There is always something new, so each visit is a fresh experience. I've gotten lots of things from here--mostly organizational stuff, cases, cable management stuff, etc. And with cute designs to! I'm ALWAYS down for cute designs. My only gripe is that this location is smaller than the other locations around the Bay Area, meaning that walking room is tight and the aisles can get kind of cramped. But it's so worth it.

Like a cross between the $5 dollar store and an Asian market. Lots of unusual items, but set up like the Dollar store. Housewares, personal care items, yummy Asian snacks and candies. Arts and crafts supplies, back to school needs, fun place to look around even if you aren't in need. Clean, easy access to everything, it is well organized. You have to know your prices if you really care, can be overpriced. Inventory is limited so buy what you like now. Staff friendly and well informed.

I love Daiso!! Bought socks for my chair legs were perfect, I bought 6 pack of 4.. They were 1.75 for a pack of 4.. Great customer service, friendly, not an expensive store.. This is one of my favorite stores

Daiso has a VARIETY of items for you. However, this particular store is a little smaller in comparison to other places. So you may not find things that you are looking for here. Food, snacks, office supplies, electronics, gardening, and cooking are just a few of the many categories represented here. Visiting a Daiso is always a pleasant experience. Items are neatly arranged and well-stocked in the store's aisles. There are a plethora of options available to you right here. Daiso is a popular place in Japan, and I'm happy to see it making its way to the States! It's one of the main reasons I go to Daiso that some of the cleaning utensils or organization products for very specific purposes aren't available in American stores. However, the availability of certain items is not always guaranteed. On weekdays, when there are fewer customers and more inventory, I prefer to shop there. They do have a snack section which, again, is a hit or miss. So if you like anything, grab it before it's gone!

I slipped once and tried to write to write it off as a fluke but I slipped again shortly after and told an elder employee hanging clothes up to put out some cones because I just slipped twice, and I know they don't want anyone to get hurt. this encounter was the first time I had observed a fold out style caution sign but it was not in an aisle or walkway that was wet, it was folded up tucked between clothes on a shelving rack and the main support of that rack. I continued browsing in a part of the store where the flooring was not being mopped (the man was still walking the big mop around the main tiled aisles of the store). when I wanted to go to try on my items I walked towards the fitting rooms which was on the tiled walkway, still being cautious. I saw the fitting rooms were closed so I proceeded towards the checkout area when I suddenly slipped and fell on my knees. at this point I was furious. I hollered for a burlington employee but no one came. I was actually that person screaming in the store which is never a good look, I admit. I ended up having to continue walking on the wet and slippery floor all the way to checkout where I had to STILLL request for a manager despite being heard all throughout the store. this is where I met Jen. Jen was obviously not happy about my behaviour but proceeded to tell me they just have to do their job (the man mopping) and that there were cones out all over the store. I saw the one cone mentioned previously and only ONE other cone in an aisle that wasn't even for the wet floor it was for a spill that had occurred and there was the absorbent material that is poured over larger spills to soak them up. this whole long winded review to say I asked Jen for a corporate number, she rudely directed me to internet. I asked for the store number, she rudely directed me to the internet. there were no attempts to deescalate, no offer of an incident report, nothing. I even asked why isn't the mopping done before the store opens so they don't have to worry about this, no response. If someone is already injured or compromised they will really get hurt and if the way I was treated is any indicator of how someone who is truly hurt will be, it won't be great. It's dangerous.

The one time I got into a regular line, the guy at the register was going so slow and it looked like he was talking to the person he was checking out but she didn't seem interested. Then upon further inspection, he was rapping to himself and the lady was super uncomfortsble because it was so unprofessional and he was purposely going super slow while he was rapping Then halfway through he stops to look at some pictures on another employees phone while everyone in line is just standing there. This isn't that big of a deal. I wouldn't even deduct a star for this reason. Reason 2- They had 30+ people in here doing inventory. They were walking in front of carts, when we were walking down walkway, they weren't watching where they were going. I stopped stopping to just ring out because it was so overwhelming having all those people in the food section, along with customers and carts. I went to self checkout. Was ringing up my items and a guy came right behind me, knelt to the right of me. I almost back handed him as I thought he was trying to get my purse. I jumped and he said- "I have to get in here". All he had to say was "excuse me" or "to the right" and I would then know he was there. No one should sneak upon anyone that way, let alone a woman. (He had to get in the little fridge to count the inventory.) I work at a store and am in charge of inventory. You give customers space, you watch out for carts, and you never get in their personal space. You sings the row of items, step back let them shop and then continue. Efficiency- With that many people doing inventory, the store is better off closing/roping off the rows of items for 5-10 minutes, then move on to the next row with that many people counting! This way it won't affect the full experience of the customers. Just for this experience I will not return to this location. I talked to the manager in the cashier area, and she said she would tell the store manager. I hope the people they bring in for inventory get a good training because it seemed like pure chaos, when it shouldn't be. A quick 10 minute meeting in the back BEFORE going on the floor. Explaining customer service and personal space. And how to not roam around aimlessly asking "what should I do next". Management, feel free to contact me because for a store this large, I am shocked at the lack of efficiency.

According to her, this Pleasant Hill location had the best selection of the day--and judging by the crowd, plenty of others agreed. It was the busiest of the three stores we visited, and while that meant things were a bit scattered (thanks to customers leaving items everywhere), the merchandise itself was impressive. I spotted a lot of familiar brand names on everything from shoes to clothes to home goods. This store seems like a solid place to find quality items without paying full price. While she was happily exploring, I hung out near the entrance and ended up chatting with a couple of staff members.
