I had a bad experience with Caroline. I asked how she was and she immediately responded with attitude laced in her voice. I asked if they had the Mrs. Clause Cocktail perfume in stock and she asked if I even knew what I wanted. I said yes and she told me that they only had the body care and candles, when I asked if she could show me she walked away, I followed thinking she was showing me the candles but she started picking up the trash things which I know is something she has to do but when I asked again if she could show me she told me to flip off. Besides the marketing promotions like BOGO or Buy 8, etc., the customer service lacked at their store on Saturday. Take note, we went in looking for something specific, it was a particular candle holder we've had our eye on and since it was the semi-annual sale, why note take advantage. We went in and since most things are all over the store, we asked the rep (Danielle) if they had this particular holder in stock, or where we could find it. Without even taking a minute to check what we're looking for, she quickly dismissed our question and us for that matter and rudely said what you see on the floor is what we have and I can't look up any products. She then walked away. Baffled by what just happened, we didn't even have time to react when a sweet young lady that works there (Ailsa) came over and was holding the candle holder we were looking for and said, "I'm sorry about that, were you looking for this?" Amazing customer service. She clearly saw the type of customer service her co-worker provided and knew she would be able to assist us better. We are thankful for Ailsa for providing excellent customer service. She is wonderful and the reason I am giving a 3-star review. If we'd have walked out with the service from only Danielle, this would have been a 1-star, less if it was possible. She should take notes on what providing customer service is all about. Sorry BBW, but you need to do better training with your staff because that was not acceptable. I decided to stick around a bit and watch how she and the other employees interacted with customers, for the most part it was decent. Noticed that those who were on the floor as greeters near the door or restocking/cleaning, were all very bubbly and helpful, like Ailsa. BUT, I also noted, those that were working the registers were miserable looking. Like my goodness, put a smile on your face when interacting with customers. Remember, none of us, the customers, twisted your arm to put in the application to work there. read more

BIG SHOUTOUT TO LIZ FOR SAVIN THE DAY I ordered 4 3-wick candles that were on sale for $13.95 WITH a 25% off my whole order offer 6 days ago and did not receive a notice that my order was ready for pickup. I learned they cancel orders not picked up within 3 days (or maybe it's 5 I can't remember) but I never received notice that my order was ready so I was very confused. Luckily, Liz was in the area and offered to honor my order despite it being out of the pickup window because I never received an email. It's typical for emails to be sent to spam but I didn't receive anything in either spam/junk or inbox folders. Paid the EXACT price I was originally paying for my online order thanks again, Liz! Bath and Body Works has their annual Candle Day sale this past Friday and Saturday. The $9.95 price is the lowest they've had in years! While I have a Bath and Body Works closer to my new home here in Yolo county, I drove to the Bay so my mom and I could shop together since Candle Day is a tradition for us :p The last time I shopped in person for Candle Day was 2019 and I remember even at 6am, it was a chaotic mess! However, this year we arrived around 7am and there were only a few other customers inside and many employees who were stocking candles and helping out customers. The ladies working here were so helpful! Shoutout to Michelle for letting us know about the additional discount you could sign up for on their app which includes other things like birthday perks! Shawnee was very helpful too letting us know about all the different scents they had out today. This location was fully stocked and my mom and I were able to get all the scents on our list for ourselves and family and friends. It was such a fully stocked and organized location with friendly employees so I'll definitely be back here soon for the Semi Annual Sale! read more

I think this particular Bath & Body works has a wide variety to choose from and it's a larger store within the East And North Bay Area. The workers are really friendly and the store takes all of the precautions for covid. They have a large White Barn area and I feel like they have a lot of things in stock all the time. Their hours are also more convenient too. The best time to go is whenever they have their 3-wick candle sales, their candles are the best and usually go for like $24. When they sales are on during the holidays they can be as cheap as $8 or $15 if you're willing to wait in line. Their antibacterial, hand soap, lotions, and scents are always really good. I personally like their car fresheners and it keeps my car smelling good for at least a month. This location is located on the second floor of the Concord Sunvalley mall across the elevators and Macy's. read more

Only one young girl who appeared to be a team leader or manager provided great customer service; the rest of the personnel sat awkwardly around. Such a kind staff! Cannot stress how much I LOVE the candle scents and their all their Eucalyptus and Stress Relief products. Their candle deals are such a steal and their employees are always so accommodating. One of the few places I've been to where all the staff is super friendly without being pushy. read more

I didn't enjoy my experience very well. I was looking for specific candle scents for the sale. I asked an employee for help but she wasn't really helpful. She then asked another employee for help who then did a better job searching by looking through the drawers. The second employee then confirmed it must have sold out. Yes I was bummed but I stayed to look at other scents. The first employee I asked noticed I was still there looking. She approached me pretty aggressively pulling her mask further from her nose while she spoke, "Are you still looking for XXX?! We don't have it!" I just looked at her in utter shock and replied, "I'm just looking!" She laughed it off and walked closer to me. I was so heated at this point. I asked her sternly, "If you're going to assist or talk to me, please use your mask otherwise please step away from me." I don't think I'll go to this location again. read more

Looking for some hand sanitizer? Wowzers, this is the place to find buckets and buckets of the stuff. I ran into this store in the mall the other day just to grab a couple of bottles for my purse. They have quite the COVID procedures going on - but very clean and very safe if you ask me. Staffed with beautiful young ladies who would like to be helpful, but are not knowledgeable enough to know the products they are selling. Big fan of BBW stores, and this one could improve. My message to management is to train your staff to have more information about inventory and become familiar with the fragrances being sold to customers. This would help with fewer returns of products and create employees retention. read more

I tried asking for help with one of the associates (she might have been a manager i'm not sure) but she gave me a disgusted look as if I didn't have any common knowledge and she also had a tone of voice that made it sound like she was annoyed with my question and it made me feel like I was being a burden while asking a simple question. Great selection so they get 2 stars for that. However, the shopping experience is quickly ruined by the employees CONSTANTLY asking if I was doing okay. I was asked by 5 different employees about 15x which is annoying AF. The manager at this store needs to train her employees to be subtle like high end stores do. Greet the customer, ask if they need help once and then leave them TF alone to shop in peace. As an adult, i know how to ask for help should i need it. I do not want to be constantly bothered so your store can meet some quota and you can get a bonus. It feels like commission desperation. I will probably never shop there again and will return to Walnut Creek where they are more low key. read more

Well after my Stoneridge experience today was refreshing! Dena the clerk that helped me was fantastic and so knowledgeable. First of all she approached me right after walking in the store which is normal, and when I told her my hunt for Orange Ginger Aroma Therapy Essence Body Spray ( which has been discontinued) she understood my frustration! She explained she had worked for B&B for 7 years and they would do this from time to time, and on special sales occasionally bring discontinued fragrances back. But of course this was not one of them. She did find that there are still hand and body lotions made in this scent and found a one last made up kit with a loofah made up for $10. She also mentioned checking out the website for more lotion, because when it does come in it sells out fast. She told me when it comes in people will buy 4 or 5 tubes at a time. Dena was a very helpful salesperson and even though I couldn't get the actual spray I wanted, found some other things comparable I could buy to get that scent I loved so much. I would definitely go back to this Bath and Body! read more

Since the last time I had been to the store, the location in the mall had changed. The new location is about two or three times larger than the previous. In this new location they have really expanded their products and have a whole section in candles. I've never tried or purchase any of the candles. I like their hand soaps and lotions. The staff has always been great, friendly, helpful and willing to assist if you need help. read more

Let me say! This White Barn is the beez-neez! Everyone is so polite and so helpful. Me and my wife shop at this store at least 4 times a month to the point where they all know us by heart. It truly makes us feel appreciated and the fact they always remember what we like and usually what we come in for. Now Aqua! Aqua is the GIRL! She is very informative and so sweet. She's very personable and is always able to find us exactly what we're looking for plus more. White Barn is like our 2nd home and I enjoy every time me and my wife plan a trip to go. The associates don't hassle you or try to get you to buy things you don't need or want. All in all, This location gets a 20 out of 10 for me. read more

You can smell everything it is amazing! It is a wonder how they get these fragrances to be so specific and realistic. The candles are fabulous but overpriced unless you buy on sale. I wish they had more options without toxic parabens and thalates and chemicals... as a mom I want healthier products for my family. The smells are the selling point. That being said, the new location is not organized well. I had a hard time navigating the store. I suppose they do this to keep you in the store longer and have you purchase more items. I get it, but it makes shopping a nightmare for people with children or time constraints. Also, the manager lady was not very friendly or customer service oriented. However, they do mail out amazing coupons, which brings me into the store (bc otherwise it is overpriced and I can get better quality, i.e. organic, online and would never come here). With the coupons I feel like I am getting more for my money, they are well stocked and ridiculously clean... that is probably because it is a new location. The white barn store front attached to it is confusing. The one sales associate was helpful and knew her fragrances well, but I felt like she pressured me into possibly buying more than I came for. In this economy, with a family, that can be a really negative impact on a person who can't say no. It's not like the sales effect the associates, they don't make commission and the company isn't a human, so it's not like it hurts them...they'll be fine regardless of whether you buy an extra lotion or not. So, I think they could be more sensitive, especially at this location. The Brentwood location had a much nicer manager and was more.l friendly. read more

I came in on a late Sunday afternoon around 4:30 PM to buy my usuals because I was running out and also because it was the last day for the sale, which rarely happens for these items. I am a Bath & Body Works addict, I have to admit, because I will find just about any excuse to go and buy their hand soaps in all my favorite scents. I have a cabinet full of them in my bathroom, no joke, yet I still end up buying more when they are on sale. I end up sending some of them off to my siblings' homes because I tend to over buy. Sharing is caring! The line was quite long since it was near closing and everyone was trying to get in for the last day of the sale. All-in-all, the girls working the registers were very fast and efficient in getting everyone taken care of in a timely manner. I was in & out of there in less than 10 minutes considering how packed the place was. But then again, I didn't browse much since I knew exactly what I wanted and went straight to the counter and grabbed what I needed. While I was there, the two young girls working the cash register noticed my "4th of July" dress and told me how much they loved it! Yeah, I am a sucker for compliments...and who isn't? You can put a smile on any customer's face with a simple smile and "hello, how was your day?" That is just plain basic etiquette for any customer service industry, and these girls have exactly that! read more

I recently went in to purchase 20 candles for a work event. The staff was friendly, helpful, and I was in and out fairly quickly. After the event happened, I noticed that I was charged for 22 candles. I was irked at first that the receipt only has an 800#, but WOW! The rep that I spoke to was awesome. She took ownership, listened to my concern, and was able to get a refund processed the same day. I love their auto air fresheners- I'm currently using "Winter", and always use candle warmers instead of lighting the wick of their candles- they last forever that way! read more

Wonderful sale going on! $3 hand soaps and even cheaper than that depending on which ones you get. The pocket bacs were 50 cents and supplied myself in case the world does end on 12/21/12. At least I'll have clean hands. Just saying. I also checked in using FourSquare and I got $10 off a $40 purchase. So I only ended up spending $35 for like 25 items. So good! This store has good customer service. The people that work here really want to help you find what you are looking for. They are really nice and always seem to make the shopping experience 10 times better. The store itself is a good size. Super clean and organized. Everything seems to be in the usual spot but seasonal items and such will be in front. Hand sanitizers are usually up by the cash register and usually 5 for $10, which are my personal favorite! Overall a good location, clean, organized, good customer service - cant beat that. read more

Bwahahahaha....it's unavoidable to not hit another B&BW while I'm on the clearance sale spree. They had the signature vanilla scents I've never seen before..peach and lemon? I'm there. I visited Bath & Body Works the day after Christmas (yes, I'm a bit crazy!!) for the 75% off semi annual sale. I arrived by 9:15 and the store was packed. I was instantly greeted by a friendly staff member and handed a bag to fill with goodies. I immediately went for the bins that were 75% off. I also had a coupon that I received in the mail (yes, sign up for those coupons!!) where if I spent $40 I'd receive $10 off. Easy to do at Bath & Body Works! I filled my bag rather quickly with loads of hand soaps (I love the foaming since it last so much longer than the deep cleansing), body lotions, shower wash & candles. I waited in line for no longer than 15 minutes and was greeted by yet another customer friendly sales associate. By the time I ended my transaction I spent a cool $60 and saved $148.00 dollars! If you choose to not shop their annual sales (the day after Christmas and in July) they can be a bit costly if you like to stock up but seriously......I've never smelled a BBW scent that I didn't adore! Highly recommend!! And its just plain fun to shop there!! read more

I've come here several times over the past few months and have had great experiences so far. They have a buy online, pick up in store option here, which is what I've used to purchase items recently. In my experience, my order is usually ready for pickup in a few hours, and they give you two days to pick it up. The first time I used this option, I asked an associate at the front of the store where to go to pick up my order. She asked if I planned on shopping in store, and when I said no, she told me that someone would bring out my order to me. I really appreciate that they do this, since it means I don't have to go inside or wait in line just to pick up. The staff I've encountered here are friendly and helpful (especially the lady at the front who has assisted me twice with picking up an order; she radioed someone to bring out my order to me. She had long dark hair in a ponytail.). I miss shopping in person here, but since I don't want to spend a long time inside, I'm glad they offer the pick up option. Thank goodness the clerks at this location are not super pushy. I think there are so many kids that get dropped off at the mall with their mom's credit cards that they're meeting their sales goals, noooooooooooo problem. Today, I went without any big plans - just wanted a new shower gel for summer. They had a beautiful display of all summer-themed items at the store front, with prices starting at $6 a piece! I purchased 2 beautifully-scented gels: Hello, Sunshine (fresh citrus) and Love, Peace and Daisies (green grassy clean) - names alone are worth buying! Both gels come in full sizes, but most likely, they're just seasonal and will be discontinued at the end of season. I'd leave happy with those 2, if I didn't come across this incredible collection of beachy candles! Today, they had a promotion - 2 for $22, which basically means you get a full-size candle free with a purchase of the equivalent product. And do I love those candles! Every single one is a perfect creation for any occasion, and with promos like this, I had to get them. The first choice was easy: Ocean Driftwood - a mix of oak, mahogany and fresh air (it smells exactly like Hollister stores!), and the second candle was in Beach Day - clean, fresh and slightly salty.
