Beautiful birthday flowers ... delivered a day late. When my relatives asked if I liked the flowers, I had to reply, "What flowers?" Delivery had been promised so it meant a hassle for relatives living 1,800 miles away. Jory's is closed on Mondays. Maybe that was the hang-up, but delivery had been promised. When they finally arrived, I was greeted with a "Sorry." The flowers were beautiful and so was the amber tone mosaic vase. (I am still enjoying the vase now filled with some dried fall flowers.) But here is where things get a bit strange. When I was rinsing out the vase, I noticed two stickers on the bottom. One said Mervyn's $39.99 and the other said Goodwill $8.99. Mervyn's closed many years ago so today's retail value of the vase would be much more. Who knows how it ended up at Goodwill and then made its way to Jory's. I don't have an issue with recycling from thrift stores. I do it myself. What was very odd to me was Jory's did not take a minute or two to remove the stickers. Very tacky. This would have been a five-star review if the flowers had arrived on time and in a vase that did not show its thrift store origins. read more

I called and spoke with someone to customize a boutonniere and corsage for homecoming for my son and his girlfriend. The price was high, $60 for the combo, but I went ahead anyways. Not only were the flowers on the corsage not what was discussed - it was supposed to be red and white roses but it was only red - the boutonniere didn't even come with a pin or way to attach it! The band for the corsage is in such a spot that the flowers won't face up properly! This is a total waste of money and energy. I wanted to gift this for their special day and the flowers aren't what I wanted and now I have to find the right kind of pins to even attach the boutonniere on my son. read more

Location Change: Jory's Flowers has moved to a workspace within Molli's Restaurant on the corner of Willow Pass and Galindo. I'd recommend calling ahead so the staff can meet you in the lobby (or open the front door if it's during hours when the restaurant is closed). I don't often buy flowers but when I need something special, it's usually a local florist I work with. I needed three, same-day bouquets so I called over to Jory's to see if they could accommodate. I arrived shortly after, met with Rich to explain the situation and sure enough- they were able to accommodate and get me taken care of in less than an hour. I ordered an arrangement to send to a very dear friend to send condolences. I chose the option to have the arrangement upgraded with more flowers for a nominal fee. She sent me a photo of the arrangement when she received it and I was completely embarrassed and mortified. The arrangement did not look like photo at all, nor did it look like the upgraded version that I paid for. The flowers were wilted and not fresh. Total paid for this $126!!! Jory's was receptive when I reached out and acknowledged that the arrangement wasn't what I ordered. I was offered to have the bouquet re-delivered, but I declined. It's not often I give a one star rating, but if I could give them zero I would. I placed an order at 1:30 for a flower arrangement that the person on the phone said should be done an hour. He also warned me that he would be leaving earlier than their regular closing time (4pm). After 1 1/2 hours, I called to see if they were done and it went straight to voicemail. Worried that he left already, I drove to the shop. It turns out he didn't even start the arrangement. Annoyed that I drove to the shop for nothing, I was overall relieved that he didn't leave yet. He said it would be about twenty minutes or so for him to make the arrangement. I told him I'd have to come back since I was actually still working down the street. Thirty minutes later I receive an email stating my arrangement is ready. I drive there and end up waiting 27 more minutes for the arrangement. Once I get the arrangement, no apology. Nothing. And when I look at the arrangement, it looks so skimpy for $70. There is zero vibrance in the colors of the flowers and the yellow roses used were extremely small and weren't close to fully bloomed. It looks like an arrangement you could pick up at Safeway for half the price. Completely unacceptable. read more

Today is my birthday and my husband was super disappointed because the flowers he got for me that were supposed to be delivered today never made it. He called and left a voicemail but no communication back whatsoever. It's such a shame because he has ordered twice before with no issues. This is how you lose loyal customers. Scheduled an online flower delivery, for 10/16/25, to my wife's work for our anniversary. Paid extra fee to be delivered between 10-10:30am. The timeframe passed and flowers still weren't delivered so I called Jory's around 11:30am and they said their driver just left. I had to ask for a refund for the fee I paid to be delivered by 10:30am because they didn't even offer me a refund. Between 12-1pm I was calling the store multiple times to see what was status of the delivery but they wouldn't pickup the phone. I even left a message on their answering machine but of course they never called back. The flowers didn't even get delivered until after 1pm. Just simple courtesy to keep customers updated with the delivery instead of us trying call and find out. Not a good way to run a business, don't care how long you've been around. Never again will I order flowers for delivery. This was my first time ordering delivery from Jory's, and it will be my last - not just from this place, but probably all florists at this point. So, like a dummy, I decided to give flower delivery another chance. I've used floral delivery services a handful of times in my life, and each time, it's left much to be desired. It NEVER has looked like the picture! And this time was no different. See pics. I checked Yelp and was pleasantly surprised by the high ratings of this place, so I thought to myself: "lemme give this place a try. Maybe I've just been unlucky with other places." I ordered flowers to be delivered to my partner's office by 4pm. Well... the majority of you fellow yelpers lied to me. Not only was the arrangement horrible (legit, it almost made me cry), but it arrived almost 3 hours late, and it had to be delivered to our home instead. I called at 4 pm, wondering what had happened. I was told there was a mix-up with times, and the weather was causing some delays. The individual agreed to switch the address and said they'd deliver "soon." I texted at 6pm and asked if there were updates since they hadn't arrived yet. They arrived around 6:45ish. Sure, I was already irritated with the huge delay, but I tried to understand that things come up... (even though the point of delivering to my partner's office was because work had been all sorts of intense lately)... ...and then I laid eyes on the arrangement... I cannot believe I paid $116 for this (included an upgrade to deluxe, plus $19 delivery fee, and an $8 tip). I felt like I had to apologize to my partner. We had a good laugh. Deluxe, where? I've ordered from Jory's several times and have always been pleased with their service and quality. Because of my busy schedule, I rarely have the chance to order in advance, but they always accommodate my same-day requests with ease. Just yesterday, on my 14th anniversary, I called Jory's and spoke with Nicole, their designer. I explained how busy I've been with work and family life, especially since my kids just started school and their soccer schedules are crazy. I sent 2 arrangements to the hospital - 1 for my grandmother hospitalized with COVID and the other to the nurses working on the COVID unit. Their website was easy to use, they were responsive, and best and most important of all... the flowers made my grandma very happy. It's my first time to order delivery flowers from Jory's Flowers at Concord, California. I was expecting FRESH FLOWERS for my sister-in-law's birthday. But to my disappointment, she sent me a couple of photos ten minutes after delivery and some of the flowers were almost rotting, old and not fresh at all. I spoke with Rich Thursday morning who said I needed to order it that day in order for it to be ready in time. I called back within a half hour and again 3 hours later and left messages both times. We gave them free rein to design the arrangements -- both times the flowers were everything we wanted. Very disappointed in the service and product. Ordered flowers for my wife's birthday a few days before the actual day to be delivered on that day. Flowers had not shown up by 1pm and had to call customer service 3 times to verify they were being delivered. They arrived around 2pm and they were the wrong bouquet type. Ordered the premix and got a sad looking basic. Then I looked at their delivery policy and they usually charge 14.95 for delivery but charged me 23.95. I live one mile down the road from them in pleasant hill on the same street. Disappointed and will definitely be requesting a refund. I ordered online the night before delivery, paid for a deluxe bouquet for $59.98 plus a $23.95 delivery fee to go to Martinez. The bouquet was delivered after 6pm to a business (marked clearly on the order form), the business closed at 6pm and there happened to be someone there to receive the flowers. The bouquet is no better than a $12 bouquet from Safeway or Traders Joes. Absolutely ridiculous to pay over $90 for this to be delivered. It's not your average florist store. It was located in a restaurant which threw me off. But I received amazing service. I'm alittle disappointed. First of all, the woman that was on the phone with me was so incredibly helpful, efficient & over all great at costumer service. I wish I would have gotten her name. Anyways, my problem starts with me choosing a flower bouquet from the website, & I expect to get a similar looking one as described on the description. Instead, I was alittle disappointed because the bouquet my mother in law received was alittle tacky looking. The roses were not supposed to be yellow, they were peach on the picture & in the description. I feel like they should have told me if they didn't have that color so that I could pick a different one. (She Hates Yellow) I also chose that arrangement because it looked vintage , classy & desert vibes all the way... maybe it was just a filter they used because it looked nothing like it in real life. Do not order flowers during high volume holidays if you want quality. I ordered a deluxe sized ($70) bouquet for Mother's Day. The picture showed a full bouquet with approx 7-9 roses and other flowers. The bouquet I received looked nothing like what I ordered. I totally understand changing out flowers or colors, but I'm sorry, the quality is not what I paid for. I called the owner twice and he said he'd make it right, but never did. Jory's went above and beyond for me. I sent flowers to a friend who had open heart surgery. When Jory's went to deliver them, they were notified she was no longer there (mind you it had been less than a week since her surgery!). So they called me, I called her to find where she had been transferred (rehab) and they delivered them to her new place.
