Photo 2 is the online photo of what I ordered Photo 1 is what was delivered I ordered online through Ruth's Roses... This florist filled the order however the spring arrangement delivered was no where near the $150 arrangement I ordered. I see from other reviews.... this has happened before. I tried unsuccessfully to contact Florist to resolve. Buyer beware!
After talking with Oak Creek Florist I discovered that online businesses send out a recipe of what to put together in the arrangement with no photo of what they advertise, which is not a realistic picture. Please avoid on line florists. I will never order from AVAS or any other online company again. Order from a local business so they receive all the $$$. It was not the fault of the florist- it was deception and deceitful business practice from AVAS florist.
Tomorrow is my 80th birthday. Today I was sitting having lunch when the doorbell rang. When I opened the door it was a deliveryman w/ a bouquet of beautiful flowers from my brother Jim in Utah. Because he had sent me a package, which I will open tomorrow, I wasn't expecting this, so it was a lovely surprise. Also, because when I was preparing to write this review I read the one star review by the woman whose Mother's Day flowers arrived w/o water and soon died, I checked the water level in mine and it was fine. I am very pleased w/ the flower selection, the presentation and the vase, which is a clear glass square.
I purchased flowers in the past and gave them a try again. Very disappointed. Would highly NOT recommend. I think their service has gone down (view recent reviews) Hopefully they make it right. Will update the review if they do. What I got (Simple Charm Bouquet - Premium) versus their site photos of both their Standard vs Premium. Looks nothing like the photos, even their Standard bouquet. $110 total
I ordered flowers for my DIL it was a white ceramic pumpkin with fall color flowers and white ceramic top. So she thanked me for the flowers but they were purple flowers in a vase. So I called 1800flowers told them and said they would resend what I ordered when I got the replacement confirmation they were yellow flowers in a plane vase (ugly) so again I called 1899flowers and they asked me if I wanted a refund I said yes. After that I get a call from the florist informing me that she is sending someone out to my SILs house to get the arrangement back. I told her then give her what I ordered she kept saying she did. I have proof she did not. THIS IS A HORRIBLE BUSINESS Do not buy anything from them. Although their refund policy is guaranteeing your satisfaction with a refund. The photo in the middle was what I ordered, the one on the right is what was delivered the first one is what they wanted to replace my order with.
I used 1800flowers to send flowers and chocolate to my wife for our anniversary. The order was contracted to Oak Creek Florist based on the card that came with the flowers. I ordered 12 long stem roses, but only received 9. They made up the difference with some dead looking red flowers (I don't know what kid of flowers they were). This was bad enough but the kicker was the assorted chocolates that came with it. They literally left a $3 BAG OF ALMOND JOY SNACK SIZE CANDY BARS with the flowers?!? I paid $15 for the chocolate with a $10+ "service fee". I tried calling the florist multiple times after the delivery was made but no on answered the phone. I was embarrassed by the gift and will never use 1800flowers again. I can't believe they contract their high priced delivery service to terrible florists like oak creek that cut corners and deliver significantly subpar products. Attached are photos from the website and what was actually delivered. Terrible service and a complete rip off.
Received birthday flowers which should have been awesome. And the sentiment is great, BUT the flowers leave much to be desired. The roses included were old and beginning to dry and the container was dirty. I don't have the heart to tell my friend. :-( Buyer beware!
Do not use this florist unless you know EXACTLY what you are getting. I order a LARGE arrangement of flowers and instead received a large arrangement of greenery and a few flowers. Their was no arrangement of flowers, it was just all stuck in a vase. I thought she was going to make it right, but 1-800-flowers gave her an out, so instead she is just going to pick them up. She got one over on me...hope she won't on you.
This is my second time ordering from Oak Creek and have been pleased each time. They delivered the flowers in the morning. I was skeptical because some people did not receive what they ordered, but my arrangement looks just like the picture. They have provided quality flowers, and arrangements each time. I will definitely use their service again.

I ordered a standing spray from a website that was directly linked to the funeral home I wanted it delivered to. Photos for reference to show what I ordered vs what I got... I saw the spray in person and didn't look anything like what I ordered. AND get this...we paid for a ribbon, which as you can see it did not come with. I called the website I ordered from, The Sympathy Store, and I asked who the florist was because if it was close to where I was, I would have just picked it up. They told me I could just get refunded the $2, but I said no, I would rather just have the ribbon, with the message I paid for. They said OK, the florist would have it delivered by the end of the night, before 9 PM. It didn't come. The next day, this is what I saw. A "ribbon" with the message HANDWRITTEN AND ON RECEIPT PAPER!! This place is an absolute joke. The spray looked nothing like what I ordered. No orange daisies. 3 unopened lillies....we literally only see these flowers for a few days, so why would you give me more than half of the main flowers unopened?! So much empty green space in the center and flowers on the bottom facing directly downwards. Sloppy work and overall, completely unsatisfied. You can find better florists somewhere else

My daughter had a very beautiful arrangement delivered from Oak Creek Florist for my birthday! The vase was filled tight with so many stems I could hardly put them back after changing the water! They've lasted 3 weeks and I am still enjoying them! read more

Excellent flower arrangements for my mom's memorial service. We asked them to make a wreath, two tall arrangements, and six small table top arrangements, all with the same colorful flowers and the results were stunning. Flowers are still alive and vibrant several days later. read more

Total rip off! My husband order a $100 bouquet and it showed up wilted and the roses were turning brown. The bouquet was sparse and small. Looked nothing like the on line photo! read more

Friendly courier delivered the flowers same day as ordered, through 1-800-flowers. Roses, filler greenery and baby's breath were fresh. Pleasantly surprised since past reviews are not stellar. read more

Flowers were not delivered on time and were wilted...they were sent thru a 3rd party service..so when I expressed my disappointment..the 3rd party service was blamed in part for then not being on time. And I was told i got more than I paid for... And when I express I wanted a refund they said I had to call the 3rd party ..once I did..the florist then call to say they want the flowers back Bad cust service to me... read more

Wanted to "SUPRISE"(key word) my wife with birthday flowers. Ordered two days in advance so they arrive earlier in the day. (No Husband would want their wife to think he'd forgotten). She showed me the arrangement that arrived after 8:00 pm. I was so embarrassed and disappointed. I wanted to get her something "BRIGHT-SUNNY" to cheer her up. Well, this actually DEPRESSED the hell out of ME !! When contacting 1-800-Flowers....they said they would make it right.....Oak Creek had the AUDACITY to contact my WIFE requesting, "When was it a good time to pick up the previously delivered flowers?" Here I was thinking it was going to be ANOTHER SUPRISE for her. Oak CREEK Florist.....you truly have disappointed me. RUINED my SURPRISE! You should have contacted ME directly or 1-800-Flowers for any correspondence. read more

Stalked my girlfriend's residence with some guy banging on her door, calling non-stop demanding the flowers back, claiming they were "just" like on the website picture. The owner is literally a CRAZY person....Where do I begin. I dropped a large amount on some flowers. The arrangement had maybe 7 pink flowers in it. The picture had the entire thing covered in pink flowers, especially when you bought the highest arrangement they offered, LIKE I DID. I show the online company the pictures side by side, that I bought the flowers through. The company agreed with me that it was a terrible bouquet. Like complete ass. It was supposed to be nothing but overflowing or at least filled with....pink flowers. Half wasn't bloomed and just green, the other half had 7 pink flowers and the rest ALL Green! The online company offered to re-deliver the flowers next week which we agreed on. The Oak Creek Florist owner refused that the arrangement was garbage and harrased my girls work all day friday til I threatened the company with harassment and that we would keep them and don't need a redelivery, just cancel it. So the online store canceled the redelivery and we were just gonna keep the trash flowers so the lady would stop calling my girls work. Next day she keeps calling and has a man show up to her house banging on the door while she's alone in the shower. Calling me from a different number each time over and over with just a random 925 area code each time. I finally called the online store again and threatened to have the police be involved if she didn't leave our family alone, we gave them the flowers.They were terrible flowers.The situation was already handled the day prior. But this lady is clearly insane. I'm sure this review will be removed. Good luck guys, lol. Just wanted some flowers for my girl. Never order from here. Unhinged company ran out of some ladies house. Before I ordered a large sympathy bouquet, I specifically asked if they could ensure the inclusion of three specific tropical blooms -- birds of paradise (BOPs). This bouquet was supposed to be a tribute a wonderful lady, who grew BOPs and those were her favorite flower. I was assured that, if I placed my order on Monday for a Friday delivery, they would have plenty of time to obtain the BOPs. I selected a bouquet, that would nicely feature those specially ordered flowers. I upgraded the bouquet size to offset the extra cost and made it VERY CLEAR that this bouquet MUST contain the birds of paradise or not be delivered at all. The agent I spoke to read me back the instructions and assured me that, if there was any problem, they'd call me the day before. So, what happened? They went ahead and delivered a smaller, scraggly version of what was pictured, and omitted the BOPs -- the whole reason for the bouquet. They did not call me to tell me they could not fulfill my request. So, instead of sending a meaningful bouquet as a tribute to this special person, they delivered a disappointing one. It doesn't even appear professionally arranged -- instead of being nicely rounded as advertised, it's an untidy shape. I could have gone to Safeway and thrown together something better than this for much less $. Look at the pix and judge for yourself. When I called to ask what happened, they apologized and offered me a measly $7 credit. When I asked why they didn't call me to inform me of the problem, they had no response. I do NOT recommend ordering from this place. You won't be happy. read more

When it comes to flowers, my husband enjoys embarrassing me with what some might find to be obnoxious displays of affection. He has sent me enormous, extravagant and beautiful bouquets and some of the cutest, most charming arrangements you have ever seen, all achieving the dual purposes of surprising and delighting me. When we were courting I worked in a San Francisco cubicle farm where Valentine's Day gift receiving was a competitive sport... which he always ensured that I crushed. So when this what can only be described as "sad" arrangement arrived today, I was surprised and a bit hurt. I wondered how and why he talked the bag boy at Safeway into jamming masses of greenery and some roses into a grimy (dirty inside and out), cheap jar (seriously, marked with a price sticker reading "An Extremely Extreme Value $1.99"?) full of water so gross and smelly that you can't smell the roses, and delivering them to my office. Of course that's not what my uber-thoughtful sweetheart would do or would want me to receive. He would be very hurt to know that my first thought was "Sigh... the honeymoon is over." But every thought I've had since then is more like, "This florist is either seriously understaffed or just doesn't care that they delivered a sad little bouquet that is neither deserving of the money my man paid for it nor representative of how he feels about me." It sounds nitpicky to mention that the card was misprinted - on the wrong side of the stock paper - and that the delivery instructions and address are printed over the care instructions, but I think it fully illustrates the extent to which Oak Creek neglected this order, paying zero attention to the details. When your product's main features are aesthetic and sensual; how it delights the senses... details matter. I'm giving Oak Creek Florist two stars. One for the quite pretty lavender roses and one for delivering early in the day so I can enjoy the flowers (once I replace the smelly water and remove some leather fern so that I can actually see and smell the flowers, of course.) My thoughtful husband earns six stars for his efforts to provide another delightful display of affection. It's not his fault Oak Creek missed the mark. read more

My elderly aunt ordered a big, beautiful arrangement to have delivered to the hospital while I was in there. She is on a fixed income, but wanted to do this from her heart even though the cost was high. The flowers were delivered a day late and just got there before I was discharged. Not only were they late, they weren't even close to what she ordered! The flowers came in a tiny square glass jar which contained a minimal amount of flowers, some of which were already wilted. She contacted the florist and was greeted with no sympathy and a very minimal discount was applied. She was taken advantage of and they didn't even care! I wish she had access to Yelp ahead of time because it looks like mostly everyone has encountered the same issues! What a sham! read more

Ordered the Lazy Daisy bouquet for my mom's birthday. And got this. Pictures state it all. Horrible people didn't apologize either. So embarrassing to let my mother think I would send such an ugly arrangement. I will never use them again and don't recommend you do either. read more

HORRIBLE Valentine's day floral arrangement!! My husband ordered a specific floral arrangement pictured on Ava's Florist website in Hercules, CA and then Oak Creek Florist in Martinez, CA delivered the arrangement that is HALF the size of what was ordered. Apparently Ava's Florist outsourced their orders to Oak Creek Florist. What a shame! Safeway makes better flower arrangements. Total disappointment!! Unfortunately I had to choose a star rating to post my feedback. Both florists earn zero stars. read more

I ordered flowers via "flowers for you" to be delivered same day to my favorite cousin for her Birthday this week. Flowers for you selected Oak Creek Florist. I choose and payed for the medium option. It was a beautiful tight bouquet of orange roses, bright pink carnations and some other pink flowers with a a touch of green. My cousin got home to find the flowers at her door that looked like a non professionalwent to a grocery store and plopped some flowers and way too much greenery in a vase and delivered it. She sent me the picture of what she recieved and I was disappointed to say the least. The lack of professionalism in the presentation and the fact the imbalance of greenery to flowers was ridiculous. I immediately called flowers for you and they offered to have the flowers redelivered in 2 days. As of last night the florist from Oak Creek called my cousin (not me) and asked of they could swap the flowers and redeliver new ones today. I guess I'll get a picture of the latest pic. But I wanted to share the unprofessional flowers that she originally received. I understand that the stock picture may not be the exact thing they're going to deliver..but it should look similar. I will be happy to repost another review after she gets the new delivery today. I give them a 1 star for at least getting the colors right. read more

Rec'd birthday arrangement made thru FTD. No oasis in container - only water & no packet of floral preserver powder. The green leaves were insect eaten w/brown edges on those leaves which I tried to trim but had to remove by the stems. There are closer florists in Vallejo & Benicia & even downtown Marrinez. Can't understand why FTD went to Pacheco Blvd. almost in Pleasant Hill w/a $5 bridge toll. read more

Awful experience! These horrible Mother's Day flowers were not delivered until 4 days after scheduled! I ordered early to ensure their arrival before Mother's Day and received no confrontation, the online company I ordered through could not get ahold of the florist. These were sent on Tuesday! They look like a Christmas bouquet and included a lame not saying they were suppose to be delivered on Saturday! Horrible! My mom called and some angry lady with an Asian accent claiming to be the owner was rude to her and hung up on her and had the audacity to say she wasn't getting paid enough for the bouquet? Excuse me? I spoke to send flowers who stated they would not be doing business with this florist, I suggest the same for everyone! Awful! Awful awful! Flowers are suppose to make you feel Good!!! read more

I received these flowers from an out of town friend for Mother's Day. I have the flowers water and set them on my table. Day after day and they continued to look more like flowers for a funeral bouquet. It's disappointing for sender and receiver. read more
