I'm pretty particular about my donuts, so much so that when I see a donut shop, I'm not immediately tempted. But when I saw the line and took a peek at the freshly fried mini donuts.... And I just happen to have a delicious latte and in my hands already..... It was pretty clear what it was about to happen next. We got in line and we were maybe in line for five minutes, we ordered the assortment half dozen, unfortunately by the time we got to the cash register, the cinnamon and the chocolate glaze with sprinkles and original were all that were left. No powdered donuts for us :( which is really what I thought I was craving. We opted for three of the cinnamon and three of the chocolate glaze with sprinkles. Upon my first bite of the chocolate glaze with sprinkles, I knew I was in trouble. The donut was a cake fresh cloud of deliciousness, and the chocolate glaze was just the right amount to pair with the crunchy sprinkles. I have to say the winner in my eyes was a cinnamon, however. Now many years ago there use to me a colorful character who loaded up your bag. His colorful way is preparing the bag was an event. My friend craved donuts & this place delivered. There was a line, but it moved rather quickly. We split a half dozen, which came out to be $7.50. The menu isn't the most expansive, but there are different flavors to choose from such as maple bacon, maple, powdered, plain, and cinnamon. They also offer coffee and teas. We got to watch them make fresh donuts as we waited. We ordered two maple bacon and one cinnamon apiece and enjoyed them by the water. They're minis, so they're super easy to eat. You could definitely just snack on them as you explore Pike Place. Our favorite was the maple bacon. They were perfect after the Mac & Cheese, Clam Chowder, Piroshky and Starbucks. I mean there is never a bad time for a doughnut. (This was over a three day period.) If you get here at the right time the machine right behind the piece of glass is cranking out donuts and cooking them. They wind up on the serving tray either getting sprinkles, powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar. My favorite one wound up being the cinnamon sugar. We chose the cinnamon sugar flavor, since we noticed they were taking them directly from the machine and tossing them in the sugar to order, whereas the maple and maple bacon flavors seemed to be made ahead of time and sitting on a rack.
