A Seattle dog is a quintessential food item while visiting Seattle. I am happy to say the Dog In The Park Seattle Dog lived up to my expectations. A crispy grilled dog, cream cheese, and plenty of grilled veggies. There are loads of toppings to choose from, too, but the young man serving up the dogs recommended just plain for the first time to really get the classic experience. I think some light mustard and maybe some saurkraut would have been a great addition. Friendly service and good recommendations for a first-timer, though. This location is located not too far from Pike Place and Westlake station. Convenient location. The price is great too! Go enjoy a Dog In The Park!

This was during Sakura Con, and for being one of several food stands occupying real estate around the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building, it gets a ton of traction. Big props to the lone server and cook who was taking orders back and forth from my friends and I and others who rushed to grab some food; he was cooking, taking payments and answering questions all throughout the time we were there. No seating or restrooms available here as it's outside. They were also out of vegan hot dogs, which didn't sit too well with one of my friends. For the Seattle Dog, it's a regular hot dog with caramelized vegetables in a somewhat lightly crispy bun and topped with some cream cheese. Hot dog was so good, vegetables added an extra savory tone that complimented the hot dog, and bun was so tasty I could have asked for another Seattle Dog, though each totals up to $10 before tax, which sounds pretty pricey for a hot dog. Regardless I would still come back here during conventions if I don't want to have anything inside the convention center itself.

As I walked closer and saw the logo I just HAD TO stop! I have always heard of the Indian/Chinese fusion aka "IndoChinese" hype, but never tried it. Well, it's definitely more hype than anything else. The limited menu items were a bit underwhelming, but perhaps it just didn't appeal to me at the time. I love Haaka Noodles, so I opted for that, with veggies. All in all, it was just okay. I enjoyed the flavor and subtle spicy kick, but overall, it was just plain noodles and undercooked/crunchy onions. Meh. I probably wouldn't go again, to this particular food truck - it was also overpriced, in my opinion (great portion size though). But, I am glad that I stopped, because how else would I know, right?! I also thought it was a little strange that they did not accept cash. Maybe that's a thing now for food trucks, I don't know. The service was pleasant, although neither one of the gentleman (who took my order and my payment) spoke much English. So, they struggled, A LOT, answering a few menu questions before I ordered.

The crisp on the wings were amazing and they had one of the best waffle fries I've had. Wings were lightly seasoned. I didn't realize it until later and it wasn't enough really for either wings or fries. It was my fault to not check or ask about their special sauce, but apparently you can buy them by the bottle. The Westlake Park plaza was a nice location as there are plenty of tables/seats setup in the square. I'm definitely adding this food truck to my work lunch rotation.

The Westlake Park Food Truck Pod is convenient and easy to access once you're downtown. Located right by Westlake Center, the four, rotating trucks are parked right in the park by the outdoor seating area. There are also some trucks along the curb of the park. Trucks are usually here during weekday lunch hours, but some will be available in the evening. The truck schedule is usually accurate on seattlefoodtruck.com for Westlake Park, so I usually check out the site before making my way. And it gets a pretty good crowd of visitors and those who work in the area, especially for more popular trucks. Visiting in the summertime for some live music, too! I'm glad to have this option so close to where I work. For when I wanna go outside and eat al fresco, I know where to turn to.

The only thing that could have made this any better is if they ever offered cheez whiz, but it was still excellent.
