loved our server, she was very quick with our order and made sure we were taken care of. Drinks were strooooong phew Food's good just a tad expensive, but what's not expensive these days in this economy lol :( very chill Hawaiian vibe

I popped in here at the end of a long stroll and sat at the bar. I ordered some edamame, which was a generous portion, and a specialty roll. Very Hawaiian vibes and good energy throughout. Very reasonably priced and delicious.

Decent food, nothing too spectacular. The decor here is very hawaiian themed and we came for a friend's birthday. we reserved a large table and had that available to us immediately, even though we arrived quite early. I got the bbq pork which was such a generous portion for an appetizer. It was nice and juicy, though I didn't love the mustard dipping sauce - it was too strong for my taste. I did enjoy the pork by itself though. They also gave us a slice of banana cream pie for the birthday, which was nice of them! It was quite good - not that prominent of a banana flavor but the oreo crust was delicious. Overall, decent spot!

Omg I can't stop raving over their sushi I had to come back and bring friends, the loco moco and Mac salad is so yum. Danny was our server and bartender trust the drinks will taste good :)

Had a fun and memorable night here with my wife. The must thing to do is leave your mark on some dollar bills knowing some stranger from another part of this giant earth will see it and.... nothing. But it's still fun. The drinks are strong and very fairly priced. The people we ended up engaging with us were locals and who were super cool and funny. Lots of seating in here and excellent music and great drinks and good crowd makes for a plenty of reasons to visit here. We will be back if we go back to Seattle and recommend if you're in town.

Aloha is present here so yeah feeling the Ohana spirit! They were able to accommodate my plant-based diet and throughout great spot for ono food, and awesome times! Been visiting this spot through the years and always very welcoming! Chee-hoo!!!

I've been coming here for years, the food is always good, love the music and the vibe also. Usually the service is on point however, last night and I'm not saying this lightly was the worst service I've ever experienced at any restaurant. Our server, Isabel completely avoided us to the point we had to ask the busser & the other server whenever we needed something. When we ordered she rushed us and was halfway walking away while we were telling her the few things we wanted. 2 girls came in and sat across from us and she beyond catered to them, eventually even sat down with them for over 5 minutes. I'm in the service industry, and as someone who knows the importance of tipping I always am generous when leaving a tip. Last night was the first time, I personally tipped the bartender for the drink I got, tipped the busser & walked by the kitchen window and tipped the cooks. Excluding her. Doesn't make sense to leave the tip to her when she did absolutely nothing besides put our order in. It was a different experience & if I were the owners/management I would want to know if the face of the business lacked the good customer service that is usually always there.

Super relaxed vibes, beautifully decorated space, reasonably priced food! We had the chicken katsu musubi, two drinks, and the salmon teriyaki. The chicken was good, crispy in the outside, soft on the inside, not greasy, and the sauce it came with was tasty too. The salmon was a large portion for the price -- the teriyaki glaze gave it a crisp exterior for the soft interior, and it tasted pretty fresh. The pina coladas were good too! The staff were all super nice and helpful in helping us make our picks. Service was quick and efficient. We really enjoyed our visit to Ohana and will be back!

This was an upbeat location with bamboo booths and a tiki bar as well as an extended menu. There were a number of Hawaiian options along with sushi choices too. The food came out quick and the staff was friendly. The spam musubi ($9.95) and pupu platter ($31.95) were ordered. The musubi consisted of grilled spam slices on rice that was wrapped with nori and topped with an oyster plum sauce. The spam was grilled ideally and paired nicely with the oyster plum sauce because of how much salt was in the spam. I have always wanted to try some type of version of this, and it exceeded my expectations. The pupu platter consisted of two large coconut prawns, lumpia Shanghai, pork gyoza, beef robata, and I believe BBQ pork. The prawns were my favorite as they had a great ratio of breading to prawn and adding the sweet chili sauce helped it even more. The lumpia Shanghai was my least favorite as there was not really much flavor to these eggrolls. Both beef parts were tasty, while the pork gyoza was crispy and needed a little more filing. Overall, it was decent. Will I go back? I would.

The food was good and portions of sushi were very generous. Yellow tail with Jalapeños and ponzu sauce was a delight. Spicy fried rice was great, fish tacos were ok. They nigiri's were fresh! The service was ok, it was busy, but they could've given us utensils and plates as the food came out or as we sat down.

When my fiance and I are in this area we love to order teriyaki for the way home or we will stop in and sit down to eat. The inside of this restaurant is very unique. Lots of stickers everywhere and feels welcoming. The service is super quick. Their sushi rolls are delicious, and so is their spicy beef teriyaki and their chicken teriyaki! Definitely worth stopping by and trying if you're considering it.

The way they worded this really rubbed me the wrong way. First, I've never been give a time limit at a restaurant that was not all-you-can-eat. Second, the amount of time I spend in your restaurant heavily depends on the speed of your service (spoiler alert: it was not fast). They then sat us at the most uncomfortable table I have ever had the displeasure of dining at. The table was low and the seats were so deep that I could not rest my back on them while eating. Definitely brought the mood down further. Food was a hit or a miss, no in between. Hit: Garlic short ribs (my partner said these were tender and a good portion for happy hour), Poke sushi roll (good fish quality and taste) Misses: First Ave Roll (sauce was just walloped on top, weak flavors), veggie and shrimp tempura (heavy and soggy batter), pink lychee cooler (artificially sweet with no strong lychee flavor), green tea tiramisu (photo speaks for itself). For all the rave reviews, I was pretty let down. Thankfully, we went during happy hour so we didn't pay full price. I would not visit here again.

It held up nicely to being a great finish to a very high quality meal. We are definitely coming back!

Get a cup of coffee and take a deep breath. This is a long-winded story…read more About 13 years ago, while vacationing in Seattle, we took a food tour. Our food tour was very intimate, just the two of us plus the guide. One of the restaurants we visited was called Shiro. We arrived mid-afternoon, while the restaurant was closed to the public. We were each served two pieces of Nigiri and told the story about Shiro. The two pieces that we were served were phenomenal and the story fascinating. We found out when Chef Shiro would be working next and cancelled another dinner reservation so we could try more of his food. When we arrived before opening time, there was already a woman waiting at the door. After us, a Seattle software engineer and three of his Canadian co-workers arrived. We had all arrived early because sitting at the bar in front of Shiro was on a first come, first served basis, reservations were not taken for that privilege. The year after we dined, we read that Shiro had retired. We were so disappointed that we would not get to eat his food again. Then we learned that Shiro opened a new restaurant and we planned on making a trip up to Seattle. Twelve years later, we finally made it. Reservations were made through opentable.com two months in advance. We wanted the Omakase, sitting at the bar, in front of the Master. Well, when we arrived, we found that Shiro only works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. (sigh) Still, we had a great meal prepared by an amazing chef who hailed from Laos, whose name escapes me now. We had a pretty good conversation despite the background noise from the rest of the restaurant. The presentation was beautiful as you can see from my pictures. We asked for and received a menu list that detailed what we were being served. If you take the time to look at the photo captions, you can follow along with the menu list to see what each fish looked like. And then, on our way out, there was Shiro! We greeted him, thanked him and his Sushi Chef for a great meal. We asked for a photo and he had a staff member take the picture for us. Yes, Shiro is a slight man but not quite as small as the picture makes him look. The staffer changed my camera setting from 1x to .5x and because he was standing one step behind us, we look huge! At any rate, it was a meal that will remain with us to the end of our days. Domo Arigato Gozaimasu Shiro Kashiba & Staff!

I've been fortunate to enjoy several omakase meals over the years, and while many simply let the chef choose your sushi, Sugo takes the concept to another level. Every course is thoughtfully orchestrated, with each piece expertly prepared and presented right in front of you. Watching the chefs work is part of what makes the evening so memorable.
