    Tempura salmon

We started with Miiso Clam Soup, which was very flavorful but mine had 3 shells and no clams, and husbands had 4 shells and 5 clams. We were excited to have Octopus Carpaccio, and there were really good flavors. But our first 2 bites were very chewy and couldn't be swallowed. The server talked to the kitchen and they took it off the bill. The tempura salmon was very good, and the fried squid legs excellent. Somehow i forgot to take a picture of that. We also had the house sake, a little harsh. I would order s different one next time. Service was very good.

My husband and I came here around 6:15p without a reservation, and waited about 15-20 min when they called us for a table. The restaurant was really busy, and as a result, very loud inside. It's located next to the the Climate Pledge Arena, so seems like a lot of people come here to eat before an event. While it seems like people enjoy the rolls here, none really stood out to me, so I got the nigiri combination. The plating looked nice, but I thought the food was just OK. Service wasn't particularly friendly as it seems like they were trying to clear tables as quickly as possible to make space for people waiting for tables, which I understand. However, I didn't really appreciate the waitress trying to take my plate away right after I had just put the last piece of sushi in my mouth and was still chewing.

I returned to Moon Tree for a pre-Kraken game dinner. We got four rolls, three types: spicy scallop, California, and salmon roll. I liked the spicy scallop more than the salmon roll. We kept it simple this time, but I remember last time we came we got some of the signature rolls and they were really great. Next time I come back I want to lean more into the signature rolls.

Made reservations before a Kraken game and good thing we did, this place gets busy on game days! We ordered off the HH menu and also the regular menu. Everything was so fresh and delicious and our server was friendly and helped us decide on which rolls to pick. Ambiance was great, we were seated by a window, perfect for an intimate conversation.

How times have changed since my last time staying in the Lower Queen Anne area while trying to figure out where to eat on my first night. Lo and behold, I found Moon Tree just a short walking distance with a HH menu until 5 pm. Arriving at 4:20 I started off with their Agedashi tofu and 2 orders of Negi Hama rolls. Both were excellent. Decided to order the Chirashi Don which had 7 different types of sashimi. The sashimi along with several others that the Chef selected was very good but the tako (octopus) was too chewy for my liking. Highly recommend dining here if you are staying in the Lower Queen Anne area.

Went late on a Saturday night and had a great experience. It was about an hour to closing and the service was quick and food came out right away. The rolls and apps we ordered were really good. Especially loved the hamachi and how fresh it tasted. Loved the decor and appreciated the low lighting as well.

A nice spot for some happy hour fun! Service was attentive and kind. Food was good I enjoyed their selection of happy hour items and enjoyed their take on chicken karage as well. The sushi although simple, was flavorful and full of freshness! We also made sure to get a glass of plum wine and it was sweet and strong. A cute spot for a quick bite!

The service and food were outstanding. I didn't feel like reading the menu, so my server picked a roll for me. It was delicious. The fish was fresh and the presentation was lovely. 10/10

We went on a Friday night dinner and they do take reservations. It is a small place but has plenty of seating. Service is great and very fast. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the food was fresh and tasted good. Both the sushi we had which was the California roll and Seattle special roll were good and we also tried the gyoza. Highly recommend reserving because the place gets busy!

This is absolutely my favorite sushi place ever. Super friendly and fairly fast service. Everything tasted fresh. Bonus points for the huge rolls at happy hour price, make sure to go during those hours!! But even without the happy hour prices they're still reasonable and fulfilling.

We opted for the 16pc Chef's Choice Sushi Course, which consisted of 4 courses. For the first course, we were served Albacore, Flounder, Sea Bream, and Black Snapper, which were excellent. The cuts of fish were great, and I appreciated the server advising where we should skip the soy sauce. The second course was Amberjack, Striped Jack, and 3 different Salmon varieties. As a salmon lover, I especially enjoyed this part! The fourth course consisted of Bluefin Tuna served 4 ways (all delicious) and the final course had Chopped Fatty Tuna, Eel, and Tamago. This last one was probably my least favorite, and the Tamago was different than normal, almost pastry-like. However, the overall experience was awesome, and we were very full by the end. A pricey but delicious dinner!

Since my birthday fell on a Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have Chef Shiro Kashiba himself behind the counter preparing and serving our meal. The entire experience was incredible. With every course, from salmon and tuna to white fish, mackerel, shellfish, and eel, he explained how each piece should be eaten, where the fish was sourced, and even shared personal stories from his career. It was also wonderful to see that everyone seated at our counter had traveled from out of state just to experience his omakase, which speaks volumes about his reputation. This was, without a doubt, the best sushi omakase experience I've ever had. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and every bite was thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were unlike any sushi I've had before and gave me a whole new appreciation for how extraordinary sushi can be when it's crafted by a chef with such deep knowledge and experience. I love this concept. I'm not much of a roll person bc it's always pricey and then you have to eat all 6-8 pieces, so this was right up my alley. We loved it so much, we came here 2x when we were in Seattle. And even our first time we had to get seconds. All the sushi from the beginning are rolls, and near the end they are nigiris. So save some space for the good stuff at the end. The first time during lunch hour, they kept restocking the sushi, and they even had bluefin tuna nigiri at the very end! Score!! I'm more of a nigiri person so I got half rolls and half nigiri. Of course this isn't like fancy restaurant sushi, but more of like casual dining sushi and bc there were so many people, it was fresh bc it was a high turnover. Sushi quality was decent. Reminded me of just like an AYCE sushi quality. You won't get sick, but don't expect Jiro Dream of Sushi quality here. lol. The other time we went was during dinner of 1 hour before they close, the selection wasn't as good as they didn't have bluefin tuna nigiri, but still worth it and didn't cost us an arm and leg to get sushi. I hope someone catches this concept in San Diego! It's so clever. Love it and would love to come back again.

What I did find pleasant was that although it was a lower table, there was an opening beneath the table that allowed your legs to hang rather than having to sit Indian style. Tyson was an amazing server. Was attentive, accommodated our allergies and was thoughtful with us having a young child. He was so pleasant and polite! We enjoyed the following: Baked miso glazed eggplant - YUM and melts in your mouth. Black Miso Cod Collar - this was pleasantly surprising and so delicious. Eat bite was tender and flavorful. Simple yet so appetizing. Sushi rolls were both fresh and well prepared. The nigiri was also great and fresh- not fishy.
