Don't be fooled by the yummy-looking items on display... because they're not. Got a custard cinnamon roll that looked incredible... it was cold, hard, and dry. And expensive! My partner and I forced ourselves to eat it, but didn't finish it and sadly threw it away because it seemed like it was old. Maybe if it had been warmed up it would've been a 5/10 instead of a 2/10. Now it makes sense why this bakery had no line even though it's at the front of the public market!

A unique bakery in Pike Place that offers various the usual pastries along with some unique ones such as divinity cookies, Texas donuts, and pastry cups. We tried a mint chocolate divinity cookie and a raspberry pastry and enjoyed both! The cookie had a uniquely chalky texture that crumbled really easy. Great flavor on it though - it reminded me of the ice cream flavor. The raspberry pastry was bursting with raspberry filling, and the texture of the pastry was really good!

For the location the price is very accurate. For the best filled maple donut I've ever had it was honestly inexpensive. The donut was just perfect, not too sweet, and just the right size. I tend to avoid Pike place like the plague it is but now I have to occasionally go back for this damn donut.

Such a hidden gem! Been to Pike Place market a few times, but never spotted this place! Variety of pastries, cakes, donuts and more. Loved the donuts and pastries we tried that day. Best part, very reasonable price! Service was excellent. Very friendly staffs. No place to sit and enjoy the pastries. Mainly a takeout ! Loved it!

A nice bakery for your sugary needs. The staff are welcoming and to the point. I wouldn't say that there is a lot of variety, but there should be at least one thing that catches your eye. Butterscotch always seems to get me so I went with the butterscotch divinity. It was super sweet so I could only eat a few bites every so often, but the butterscotch was a hit. Everything looked fresh and overall a great spot for breakfast or an afternoon dessert.

Pike Place Bakery has reopened!!! It's really nice to see more businesses return to the market before the summer comes to an end. My son and husband couldn't stop eyeing the Texas Donut, it was massive!! The selections are plentiful and unique from the other bakeries within the market. The blueberry coffee cake is extremely moist, not overly sweet, and filled with bursting blueberries. You won't be disappointed if you stop by to indulge your sweet tooth; I highly recommend!!

Donuts. Croissants. Bear claws. Cinnamon rolls. Yummy bread. The portions are so big that it's shareable. Stop and grab yourself dessert!! I'm coming back.

As a cannoli lover, I can honestly say this is the real deal. The shell was perfectly fried, and the filling was soft, creamy, and was just the right amount of sweet. I honestly had a hard time choosing a flavor, but since this was my first visit, I went for the original (my favorite type of cannoli anyway). Next time, I'm going to try the chocolate peanut butter and/or Oreo! Pike Place Bakery is located in the heart of Pike Place Market amidst of all the commotion. It's a little tough to find, in-fact, I accidentally stumbled upon it today. I'm thankful that I did.

Cream cheese cannoli - same your money

I was there right when they opened so I'm not sure if that was the reason why the case was not full. I ordered the standard cream cheese cannoli while my friend was curious about their chocolate chip divinity cookie. There was no line and service was quick. The prices weren't too bad and probably on par for being front and center of Pike Place. Honestly, the cannoli wasn't that great - it was way too sweet and the consistency was way too thick. The best cannolis I've had were in Boston and these did not even compare. I would not order it again, however the divinity cookie - oh my! It doesn't have the same crumble and texture of a regular cookie because it is made with powdered sugar. The color also may be off putting as it looks like its not even cooked. It was very interesting and different for a chocolate chip cookie. I wish I had a cup of coffee to dip this into. 10 out of 10!

Giant chocolate frosted with sprinkles! Sorry it's half eaten...we couldn't wait!

I visit this Barkley every time I'm in Pike Place! I'm a little sad about the other reviews because every pastry I've ever gotten has been delicious. I always get some doughnuts and coconut macaroons for my dad. The doughnuts are really dense, moist and cakey all tasking super fresh! The giant doughnuts stay fresh for days and we just cut of little pieces as we go! I take the macaroons back to my dad on the east coast and he thinks they're magical even a few days old! The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it can get a little pricey. Each item is at least $2 for one thing. There's one woman there who is exceptionally nice. I changed my order halfway through and she was totally ok with it and happy to help!

Maple Cream and Cinnamon roll with cream cheese

I am not even joking, the Maple filled donut is probably the best donut I have ever had. I felt like I was in heaven. The cream isn't too sweet, it had a bit of a runny consistency and it was so cold. The maple melted in my mouth and gave it this delicious sweetness. I will think about this donut for the rest of my life.

And then a coffee doughnut which has coffee-flavored icing. The icing is very sweet and the sugar overpowers the coffee flavor. We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.

I tried the passionfruit creme brulee donut, and though a bit pricey ($6), it was worth the money. The store is really cute with lots of mochi donuts on the wall and a pink aesthetic that is perfect for friend hangouts or dates. I got the chizu matcha latte with stir fried boba, which came out to almost $9 total. Bold of them to charge a convenience fee on top of sales tax to make the drink super expensive. I opted for 50% sugar and there is absolutely no option to request less ice. A supposedly regular had to verbally flag to the worker to not add ice, which I probably should do, but at least please add it as an option so that it is more convenient. I guess they want to cut costs and give us less drink? For 50% sugar, I don't think they respected the customizations as I saw the worker just pour premade matcha latte to the cup and then added the cheese foam on top. When I tasted my drink, it was grossly sweet. Boba was undercooked so I ended up having to toss a lot of the boba out, and the boba was not cheap at $0.95 for the topping. Fortunately, when I got my drink, they had a few mochi donut circles I got to sample, and I am glad they sold out of the mochi donuts as the mochi donuts did not have the chewy texture that is present in mochi donuts.
