This is a really cool spot with some very unique tacos. I opted for the honey garlic chicken one and the pizza one, I can't recall the name. Both were delicious! I think the honey garlic chicken one was my favorite out of the two. The sauce on it was tasty and complimented the chicken perfectly. I also have to give a shout out to the cashier, I believe her name was Jonda. She was so full of energy and positivity. She made it seem like taking your order was the best part of her day, for everyone. Definitely plan to go back and try some more tacos out! read more

Only giving 2 stars because the food was actually phenomenal tasting. The service and estimated wait time/way of ordering at the new location is severely lacking. After ordering lunch they said it would be 30 minutes and we ended up waiting for over an hour, having to walk from the car to go check at the window multiple times in the snow because they don't take a phone number or anything to let you know when it's ready. We looked at the Uber eats menu before going and the prices are very misleading showing $12 or $14 for a "3-piece" of tacos when in reality it's that price plus whatever a single taco is listed for. So we ordered 11 tacos and chips and queso assuming it would cost about $65 and ended up being $90 which is insane for tacos and the wait we also endured. Thank god the food was actually good so it wasn't a complete waste. read more

My first time ordering via Grubhub. $31.00 The packaging was neat and functional Birria taco - this taco was full of well seasoned meat and cilantro, and comes with the appropriate consume for dipping. The Birria meat was spicy and flavorful, and paired well with the consume. Philly cheese taco - this was the disappointment of the tacos. There could have been more onions and peppers to enhance the flavor profile. Classic ground beef taco - this taco was overstuffed and the meat was adequately seasoned. There was a sauce added, which enhanced the flavor - though the taco could have used some sour cream to finish it off. Chips and queso - the chips were quite good - crispy and adequately salted. The Queso was really delicious; there just wasn't enough of it. Overall, my experience was good, and I would order again. I was very excited to try D.A. taste based off pictures I had seen on instagram. However there were a few things that I was disappointed with. The first time I tried to eat at their new location, we were turned away because they "ran out of containers." I wouldn't have been as upset if they had run out of food... but the containers?? A few days later I tried going again. They were closed. Apparently they had sold too much food the day before. The most frustrating thing about these situations is that they provided no update on social media. They easily could've posted to let customers know, which would've saved me a couple long, wasteful car rides. (Yes, I tried calling both times, but they seem to be very spotty with answering the phone even when they are open). Third times the charm... this time they were actually open. My girlfriend and I tried the jerk chicken, lobster, beef birria, and honey garlic chicken. All of the tacos were GOOD, but not GREAT. My biggest complaint is that the shells were a little overwhelming. While the shells themselves were delicious and perfectly cooked, there were multiple bites where I felt like I couldn't taste anything but the shell. Again, this certainly didn't make the tacos bad, but it definitely took away from the flavor that I was expecting. This, combined with the high price, long wait, and inconsistent hours, are my main concerns. I am mainly writing this review because I love the concept and I think this restaurant has sooo much potential. I'm sure some of these problems are growing pains related to recently opening the new storefront and their insane popularity, and I hope they get worked out soon. read more

Just tried here for the first time. The place itself does not have a very welcoming atmosphere and the location is not great. It's small and run down, just a pick up and go place. Service was friendly. After you ordered the majority of people were waiting in their cars for their orders, which I did as well considering how small the space is. The wait time was 25 minutes. But in my opinion the taste of their tacos makes up for it! Comes at a decent price of $12 for three tacos. Very flavorful even without the sauce that comes with the birria tacos. I was impressed. It's a 30 minute drive for me, but well worth it. I will be coming back. read more

We ordered while next door at Buffalo Distillery at 8:45pm .Were told order would be ready at 9 PM or at the very latest 9:10 PM. We waited until 9:35 and our order was still not ready at which point we decided to just cancel the order and request a refund. The owner came out , agreed that the promised time had been 9:10pm at the latest , apologized and credited us in full and minutes later still gave us the order. It seems everyone is all a buzz talking and showing off the life changing Birria tacos in this unassuming corner store. After a week or so of envy, I was offered a take away opportunity courtesy of my son. He tried a phone order but was informed they were not taking phone orders too busy and off he went. Arrived, placed the order and had a 40 minute wait. He got home with the precious cargo. It was packaged in sturdy travel containers. I got to work and snapped a few pictures before plating to dig in. He chose an assortment of 3, I went with 3 beef birria. Delicious, delicious, delicious! The consume is so flavorful and good! It had a slight heat but not overwhelming. The shell packed with meat and cheese yet perfectly sturdy for dipping! Fresh onion, cilantro and lime to finish them off. Now I see or better yet taste what the hype is about! I will be waiting for the owners to get into their own building, I'd love to have these piping hot at a table!maybe with hours that accommodate my schedule. I heard about this place through positive reviews and I'm a huge fan of Mexican food so I decided to give it a try. I've had authentic Mexican tacos and my bar is set pretty high because of this. The counter to order for this place is inside a convenient store as of right now. I've heard they are working on a more permanent location. The convenient store is very dingy and a bit sketchy and not in the greatest part of town. The store was packed with people picking up orders they called in and people who ordered in person and were waiting. I chose to order in person and was told it would be a 30-35 minute wait. I figured I'd wait in the store because that wasn't too long of a wait compared to the wait times some people have had in the reviews I read. I ended up waiting 55 minutes. I ordered 6 beef tacos and 2 Philly tacos. The beef tacos come with consumme and the Philly tacos come with "queso." In my experience, authentic queso is not orange with shredded cheese on top. It tasted good, but I feel the authenticity could be improved and it would overall improve the tacos. This type of tacos are supposed to be greasy and cheesy and flavorful and these are all of those things. The beef texture is basically Stew meat and the flavor is very smoky. I asked if they had chips and salsa and they said yes and then told me the chips were doritos. When you order chips and salsa from a place that serves Mexican food you usually expect it to be tortilla chips. I told her I didn't want the chips anymore and she offered me Pretzels and queso which threw me off. I've heard the Pretzels are good, but I was really in the mood for chips and tacos so I didn't want to try them at this time. While the tacos were good, there is room for improvement when it comes to Mexican recipe authenticity and atmosphere. Hopefully when they get their permanent location they will be able to make these improvements and I will be happy to come back and try it again. read more

This place was EXTREMELY overhyped. I've seen this all over social media as THE best place for tacos in WNY. Now as a La Divina lover, I was suspicious but had to try this place out. Safe to say it did not live up to the hype. We waited an hour and a half tacos that were not good. I got the beef birria, chicken birria, lobster, and a Dom's taco. The chicken birria was TERRIBLE. It was not cooked like birria meet should be. It was super dry and tasteless. The Dom's taco was a basic ground beef taco that tasted like they had used Ortega packet seasoning. The lobster taco was over seasoned to the point of being super salty. The beef birria was the most tolerable of all of them but even then it was a 5/10 at most--not worth the wait or the hype. The worker herself was super kind and helpful, which was great. All in all not worth the hype, price, time, or calories. I'll be sticking with La Divina. read more

Nothing incredible about the tacos. They were good enough. To be clear they are a taco restaurant not a Mexican restaurant. I'm a bit old school so I'm not the best judge of where they fit in my food chain. They are a step above the other "non Mexican " taco places in Buffalo. I found the birria taco quite flavorful. Five stars for customer service. The counter staff are very friendly & they know their menu well. I placed my takeout order to return for it an hour later. Yeah wait time might be a little longer than expected but that's because you're getting quality. The only con I have is that their hours of operation are a lil funky. It felt like I was in the airport or the DMV. Everyone had the same glazed look over their face and no food. She emerged w a couple bags and I wanted to cheer for the guys who received them, but their stay was extended when the order was wrong. Average food, high prices, far below average customer service. Not my first time here, but certainly my last. Customer Experience. Ordered with someone else at the counter but paid together, given a 20 minute turn-around for pick up. That's all well and good, but the issue here arises from our food being packaged together. Normally when I go to a restaurant like this, if I've ordered with other people, everyone's orders come out as separate. It's more sanitary and in my honest opinion, pretty common sense for food service. Upon asking for another container so we could section it off in the car so we could go to work, was informed that we would be charged for another container. I was never informed this was an additional charge, and the employee never asked if we would want separate boxes if for some reason their policy is to just toss everything into one container. As a last point for this, upon reaching our destination we found that they also one gave us one cup of the consomé despite us both ordering Birria style tacos, meaning one of us had to forego half of the experience and flavor of a Birria. Just a very abnormal policy for food service especially considering the very large mark up on their food when breaking down ingredient cost. The food. The food is average at best from what I have tried. Presented in a traditional way without any of the taste or authenticity. The price. Six dollars for a single taco is absurd, if the quality was vastly superior to similar restaurants, sure, but in this scenario the quality does not justify the cost. I wouldn't say stay away from this place completely, but if you read through this and you still want a taco, my recommendation is to go somewhere else and use the money you save to cover your gasoline. read more
