I loooove the ingenious folding corners turned sippy cup- all the plastic lids that don't have to go to the landfill !!! My mind was seriously BLOWN by how clever the design is to reduce waste - can every cafe/restaurant/wherever you can grab a drink from hop on this supply purchasing pretty please!!! The thought of helping the environment even just a little bit - which adds up to a whole lot considering the amount of to-go beverage consumption daily - really adds up to make a huge impact! But let's get back to Sevens - thank you for enlightening my day by your choice of packaging. The (hot( almond joy latte i ordered was awesome, as was the hash brown i shared with the hubs. I love the comfy inviting decor and service was friendly and top notch. I was second in line but it quickly stretched to the door as more ppl came for their cup of Joe's and even tho it was clearly under-staffed we all waited happily to place our order. Have been wanting to come to this women and queer owned cafe since I first read about it. My partner and I finally stopped in for coffees, an absolutely delicious vegan Caesar crunch salad, and a made in-house bagel. Everything was so good, for me the show stopper was the salad. My partner loved the bagel. We both enjoyed our afternoon coffee. The space is beautiful and cozy, it would be the perfect place to come and read or knock out some work. They have completely non-plastic to go cups which are unique looking and we loved the extra effort they put into sustainability. They have bags of their used coffee grounds for free if you need to add to your compost pile or whatever needs you might have. 10/10, will be back! read more

Friendly service and a yummy drink. My friend and I visited on a Friday afternoon and there were a decent amount of people, but it wasn't too loud or really crowded. There are about 5 or so tables in their shop; I'm unsure if they have a patio or not. After looking at the baked goods and limited food menu, we decided none of those options were up our alley; however, matcha on tap??? That was our speed! We both ordered an iced matcha with a loganberry cream cloud. The combination of the two was quite delightful. I love that the matcha was unsweetened. If I recall correctly, it was about $20 for the two drinks, which is a bit steep. If I were in the mood to splurge, I would come back for the matcha. read more

Nice new location in the old first ward. There's definitely street parking and it's usually available (not sure if there's a nearby lot). It's clean inside with a relaxing atmosphere. I went on a Thursday just before lunchtime and was able to order right away. Staff were helpful, friendly and answered my questions about the menu. It got a bit of a line around noon. Was able to sit with my laptop plugged in to have a working lunch. Had the tofu rice bowl, lemon poppyseed bun and iced pistachio matcha. I really enjoyed all of my items. Bathrooms are in the main building the cafe is attached to and were also nice. I'd recommend this place for a visit! I'll be back! read more

Internationally inspired vegan cuisine brought to us by a world-traveling couple. This much anticipated vegan spot has been in the works for months and months. A friend brought me to Sevens to check out their pastries and coffee. When we walked in, they were still setting out fresh items, and everything looked seriously good. The space has a cool, intentional vibe, and I really liked the wall of resistance by the entrance--it makes a statement. I went for the nitro matcha, which was super smooth and creamy, and we split a bagel with cream cheese, a slice of earl grey loaf, a sausage roll, and the summer bun. Everything was fresh and flaky in the best way. I've never had vegan pastries before, and honestly, I didn't miss a thing. Great little cafe. Abundantly friendly service. Lots of baked good options, and, notably a change from your typical cafes. I opted for the lemon poppyseed morning bun and the cruffin. The bun had a very tart lemon filling which was different than a dryer bun I was expecting. I also got a bagel from Dopest dough with cream cheese. I love the variety of the baked goods and the interior is just beautiful. My only deduction is that I got a nitro cold brew and typically, it has a little nitro foam and a darker/nitro pour to it - sort of like a guiness. This place is such a cute little gem! Went here on a Sunday and it was def jumping! I ordered a cinnamon bun and an iced cappuccino. I absolutely loved that there was a whole other sitting area in the back. Literally perfect. The prices here were a bit high for the size of my coffee. But it was really delish! I tried Sevens Bakery and Cafe and had such a good experience overall. I ordered the seasonal strawberries and cream latte, which automatically came with oatmilk and that was a nice surprise, and it was perfectly sweet and really flavorful without being overpowering. I also got the strawberry cheesecake cruffin and it was incredible, super fresh and flaky with just the right amount of cheesecake and strawberry filling. The employees were very kind and attentive, and the whole space felt warm and welcoming. The only downside was the lack of seating inside the actual cafe. We might have just come at a really busy time since the Shamrock Run packet pickup was happening next door, so it was pretty crowded and we ended up sitting in the hallway area. It did have some really nice art for sale out there which made it feel a little more intentional. Overall the food and drinks were absolutely worth it and I would definitely go back, maybe just at a less busy time next time. read more

I order an iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup and a bagel with cream cheese. I usually like my matcha a little on the sweeter side and it was extremely bitter. I added granulated sugar to improve the taste and it slightly did, but the matcha powder is just bitter in itself. The bagel was good but a little bit thin and there was an up charge for cream cheese, but there was only about a smear of it on the bagels. This is my second time here, and they absolutely nail it every time! The staff is incredibly welcoming and always so helpful. Side note: I haven't been vegan in a while and have zero dietary restrictions, but good food is good food--and this place makes it right. Today we crushed the Korean Rice Bowl, the Hoisin Mushroom Sandwich, and the Dilled Potato Salad. Everything was excellent and so flavorful... Delish! We even took home two pastries that look unreal, and the coffee was spot on. Plus, it always makes me happy to support a queer- and women-owned local business. My carnivore husband loves this place and so do I! They opened probably like not even a month ago and I've already been here like six times. I've tried all four sandwiches and for the first time in my life I can say I would literally be happy with anything on the menu. This is how vegan food should be. It's not highly processed fake food but plants and food you feel good about in a creative and delicious way. We are not matcha fans which seems to be the popular drink here but the vanilla latte I had was great. They also have bagels and AMAZING chocolate chip cookies (gluten free and regular options!). We haven't tried the cinnamon buns yet although it is on my to do list for sure. Wowww ok this one is a standout. I'm shocked there aren't more reviews. We had the matcha latte and earl gray latte. The matcha was fine but the earl gray latte (earl gray syrup in coffee) was outstanding. Half syrup was the perfect amount of sweetness. Also their vegan sandwiches were expensive but huge, filling, and delicious! The miso one was good - a bit sweet (but I'm very picky) but very fresh and amazing texture with the crunchy eggplant. The focaccia bread is what really pushes the sandwiches above and beyond - the bread is super homemade tasting and fresh. The mushroom sandwich was also great with a bit of a curry flavor. I didn't get to see the inside of the store as someone else brought it to me as a pickup order but I'll definitely be back. I was also told that the service was excellent and the workers were very passionate about their jobs Overall I was blown away and will 1000% be back!! I live in the building, and I must say it's a wonderful atmosphere and addition to the Barcalo. I'd recommend all the pastries . Some of which are gluten free.
