Atmosphere: lackluster. Service: apathetic. Food: mid. We went here mainly for the soft serve margaritas. They did not have them available when we arrived (appreciated the heads up) and we got them about an hour after we got there. We had to be there quite a long time for a counter service restaurant. They stated that each one is about 3 shots worth of liquor, so my friend and I split one and my other friend didn't finish hers. I finally got to order them and the bartender walked away seemingly towards the soft serve machine and then idk where. 5-10 minutes later we got her attention and reminded her about them. Then had to wait again before receiving them. Had to wait an additional few minutes after receiving them for the extra cup we had asked for (to split as they were large and due to alcohol content). When I then asked for a spoon I was informed "we don't have spoons we have forks" but then did receive a tiny spoon that usually comes in the drink. The soft serve was pretty good but not worth the drive nor did it make up for the overall experience. I also had to piece of plastic catch in the back of my throat on what made it my late bite of soft serve. Upon further inspection, were some scraps of plastic on the straw in the soft serve probably from cutting them in half. People who had ordered before us seemed to have have waiting for but too for the drinks and when they had them ready the workers took atleast 3-5 minutes taking pictures of them before they served them to the customers. The other customers seemed annoyed like "are those are drinks we have been waiting for?!" I get posting on social media etc. is important for businesses but it's probably better to wait to do that when you don't have a bunch of people waiting for their drinks. The chips and dips (we got all of the dips) were fine. The tacos were also fine to good. Of the ones we ordered the favorites seem to have been the pork and jerk chicken. Least favorite was the shrimp po boy as it lacked flavor. Nothing we ate was so great that we'd choose this place over various taco spots. We also got the churros to go and tried a few on them. They ran out of the caramel sauce but they were good. I think it could be improved by having utensils (forks, spoons, knives) available at all and then easily accessible and possibly a better ordering system. Currently you wait to order food and then go to the bar to order drinks. The common theme is waiting. Might run more smoothly if you can order all at once. Also, there's numbers on all of the tables but then when your food is ready they just yell your name and try to find you.
So if you're coming here for the soft serve margaritas and have very low expectations about everything else you'll probably be happy. The food was just okay, and the service was average at best. All the workers seemed like they wanted to be anywhere else and it seemed like you were bothering them to ask for anything. My brisket mac and cheese taco was good, the shrimp po boy taco was pretty flavorless. We also ordered the chips and dips and they were just okay. The chips tasted stale and the dips were nothing special. Very small cups of all 3 for the $16 price tag. When we first arrived at 6:45 pm we were told that the margarita machine "wasn't cold enough yet". So we ate our food and figured we would have for desert. The bar tender knew we were waiting and never bothered to mention they were ready and we were sitting right in front of her. So then we had to wait behind a bunch of people who had just walked in as we watched her serving them. Which by the way she spent way too long trying to take pictures of from every angle, then bringing them to another employee to take pictures of for better lighting. All while the group, as well as a line of others, were waiting. My friend finally gets to the front and she takes our order and then disappears for a good 5 minutes, comes back and starts making another drink. Looks up and sees me walk up and goes "oh I'll have your drinks in a minute". She had clearly forgotten about our order. She then goes over to the machine and proceeded to put all the "toppings" of the flower, tiny duck, straw, etc into the drink with her bare hands. Which I found a little unsanitary. That all being said the margarita was pretty good as were the churros we had for dessert. However they were out of the caramel that was supposed to go on top. Would I come back? Probably not unfortunately. Bummer, as I was really looking forward to this place
This place is super casual, but today when we took my friend and her daughter we did get table service! We went with two combo meals. My Mom and I split a combo wirh a Nashville hot fried chicken taco and a stinger taco hot. My friend and her daughter got the fried hot honey taco and a stinger bbq. Everyone enjoyed their tacos, but I would have appreciated more hot sauce on my stinger. I took a photo of the newest specials as they are different from 6 months ago the last time I was here. I got a $6 house Margarita with a tajin rim. It was tasty. I really need to get here for lunch more often.
So impressed. This place is 100% worth the hype. The workers were super friendly and attentive . I felt like I could have been friends with them! The margarita was the best I ever had. Literally like an ice cream margarita. It was delicious !! Could have easily had 5. lol but the tacos blew me away too !!! I can promise you I WILL be back
I've been looking forward to coming her for months! Mother's day weekend was the perfect opportunity. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We arrived about 830 and they're open till 11. We were told he had to order before we pick a seat and sit down. We just wanted to settle in and look over the menu. Instead we were rushed to pick and only has so many options to pick from. Due to being sold out . We ordered 4 tacos (chicken birria, steak and cheese, shrimp po boy , and honey garlic fried chicken). A side of chips and queso , and 2 of there mango/ coco margaritas. It took 40 min to get our chips. Which we went up and asked to get them. They arrived burnt. We asked for a new batch and waa told there are no more chips (and that's why we got what we got ). I kindly asked for a refund, and the manager waa happy to help. I'm currently still waiting for the refund. The bartender was not only rude and very unapproachable, I felt like we we're bothering her. I asked what flavor frozen margaritas they had today and I was told "didn't you read the board!". I brushed it off still orderd and the drinks was delicious. Dare I say the only good thing we had that night . The bartender then proceeded to asked tables if they would like to take pictures for social media page. She skipped only our table! Didnt ask. Little did she know I've been waiting to eat here for so long , and a Yelp elite. We brushed it off and tried to enjoy or frozen treat . Food came out about a little over an hour later. Super excited to eat. Everything looked and smelled great, but that waa not the case at all. Anything that was fried (shrimp, fried chicken) all had the old grease taste and was very over cooked. The consommè for the birria taco literally tasted like cinnamon and old and the taco its self had no flavor. The honey garlic fried chicken was the best tasting one besides the grease taste that one was promising. I would probably never eat here again solely due to the service and unwelcomed feeling we received . Everyone has a bad night , but I hope this review is an eye opener for the employees , that way no on else has to feel like we did. I would definitely recommend the frozen margaritas 10/10. Im not a big drinker and it was a very refreshing treat .
I've been dying to try this place out and finally had the chance to this week! I ordered a honey garlic chicken and fish taco. For $7-$8, they are a little pricey but the tacos are huge and super flavorful. I would definitely recommend!
Saw the videos of the soft serve margaritas and awesome looking food, so we had to check it out. Service was great with friendly staff who love to introduce you to all of the unique options. The self seat dining offers plenty of interior seating along with a patio on the side. Each bite we took of the three tacos we tried, the more we were delighted by the flavors. We would order all three of these tacos again, with our favorite being the honey garlic fried chicken taco due to its delicious flavor and amazing sauce. The soft serve margaritas are not to be missed. We'd go back just for those. We had the lemon mango twist flavor of the day and it was a real treat. It felt more like dessert than a drink. Another favorite to add into the rotation.
My family and I went to D.A. Taco to celebrate me and my sisters Birthday July 8th! The food, the service, the drinks were beyond expectations! We each got different taco's and shared. I got the Philly Cheese Steak taco, and Shrimp Po Boy taco. There was a buffalo chicken taco, honey garlic chicken taco and so much more... my mouth was on rollercoaster ride trying so many new combinations of flavors. To top it off they have these Awesome drinks. We had SOFT SERVE MARGARITAS that are AMAZING!! Lime, orange, mango with tajin! Just incredible!! We had so much fun! So delicious and the service was joyous, and personable, quick and intuitive. The Ambiance was Buffalo Artsy vibe. I will definitely be coming back, as a staple for visitors.
I've heard the rumors, I've seen the pics. Today I got to experience the strength of the taste. The super polite woman at the counter got our order taken within a few minutes of walking in the the door and we took our seat in the clean and art laden dining area. Those wall murals.. awesome. The stinger taco was loaded with some tender and flavorful steak and chicken finger, and the Nashville hot taco was loaded with sauced fingers and Mac... both crispy and rich with amazing flavor, and the smoked queso, I coulda used more , it was absolutely incredible. This shoulda be a 4 star but the problem was the wait. 30 minutes to make 4 tacos in a very lightly filled dining room. I'd come back again for sure but next time I'll order ahead, because like tom petty said "waiting is the hardest part "
I was so excited to come here because it's been on my list for years and unfortunately it wasn't as great as I hoped. Being the first time, we weren't sure how everything worked and when we walked in we just had a menu thrown at us and when you're ready come back to the counter to order. Not very inviting and not asking if we have questions. I asked if there were any specials and was told it's on the menu. I meant a speciality taco they were featuring and they said no and by the way we don't have brisket. So the brisket taco I wanted to try wasn't even available! If you have items on your menu, you should have them available otherwise it should be a random featured taco or "special". Anyway we ordered and they took our name but no instructions what to do. There were numbers on the table so it looked like they were taken by others that may have stepped outside (there were many people waiting outside for their order) so we asked where we can sit and they said "anywhere". So we sat and hoped no one came back to say we took their seats. It all worked out fine and apparently the numbers mean nothing so they should have taken them off the tables. We also had to ask how to order a drink from "the bar" which was the smallest bar and people were sitting at it that you couldn't see a menu or anything. We had to go back to the first counter with the not so friendly people to ask how to order drinks and the available flavors and again just pointed to a white board like we should know the drill. The frozen margarita was good so I will give them that but the tacos were just ok. I tried the Philly cheesesteak and it was a small amount of steak and cheese and not much flavor. The jerk chicken one was very filled and had many flavors but somehow still dry and both came out cold. Maybe it was just an off today because everyone else seems to love it there and it was very busy but it's not for me .
The jerk chicken tacos are to die for! they come with a pineapple pico that is soooo good. It really pairs well with the spice of the jerk chicken. Hands down my favorite tacos here! The queso is also really good and you can tell it is made in house. Staff are always friendly and make great menu suggestions. They are so good, so they are usually a bit busy. The wait is well worth it! Super family friendly feel inside.
This place was better than I expected hands down. Will definitely be back the I stepped out the box and ordered the honey fried chicken taco with house made Gouda Mac n cheese smh crazy good . This place really beat my expectations and worth another try.
Went with my fiancé & I got the Poutine! It was amazing! So flavorful and creative! I loved the ambiance of the dining room! Very artistic& beautiful to behold. Service was impeccable, friendly & kind! Highly recommend! Would eat again!

I really wanted to love this place ....but ended up thinking it was just alright . The service was really slow, the temperature was freezing inside the restaurant and my tacos were good but not outstanding . I definitely preferred the taco with the shrimp over the taco with the fried chicken and Mac and cheese (it was a bit too heavy ) . The queso that came with the tortilla chips was pretty good . I think it was more the fact that it took 40 minutes for us to get 2 tacos each and chips with cheese and after inquiring about our order after 30 minutes , the young girl at the counter told us it was because "men were running the kitchen and you know how they are " . She did give us some extra chips for the wait, but thought it was a pretty weird excuse . I did enjoy the decor and wouldn't mind trying other taco selections on the menu , however, I will have to keep in mind about the service . read more

Finally had the chance to try this place! I been dying to try it. It is located on the corner. There are street parking s for customers. There is no indoor seating, just outdoor. You order at the window. When I went with my husband they only had ramen and was sold out of their eggrolls. Make sure to check their menu and IG before going. It wasn't an issue for me because I wanted to try their ramen. I will def look out for their tacos since it's hard for me to go in Tuesday cause of work. The wait for about 30 mins when I went but they were super busy. I ordered the brisket ramen, my husband ordered the beef birria, and my friend ordered the porkhouse. It was a big portion to me. The spice for me was just right, lots of flavors. It was so good. We could smell in the car on the way home. My husband really enjoyed his too and I did try it, it was delicious. The porkhouse contains pork belly, bacon, and pulled pork I believe which my friend said it was really good. I def want to try that next time. There was one teeny downside about it was that the ramen is not separate for takeout. There wasn't enough broth in it by the time we go home and we were worry that the noodles was going to get soggy but good thing it didn't, and we didn't live that far. Wish there was more soup to it. But other than that, my meal was excellent and will come back for more! Can't wait until the new location opens up read more

5/5! I was lucky on this occasion that they did not have a long wait! I know this place can get busy so just prepare for that. There were not a lot of people waiting in line, but I know they had a ton of orders for Uber eats and other pick ups. Food itself was amazing. I have been obsessed with birria tacos and these were absolutely amazing. They are a reasonable price ($16) but the tacos were totally filled as much as possible and they were very filling! The tacos here were great! I tried the birria, and they were so filling. I'm not a spicy eater, so I was a little sad that the consume sauce had a kick to it, so I didn't use it. My fiancé got the combo and really enjoyed his tacos. I loved the cool murals all over the walls. The server was nice, but it did take a little bit of wait to get our tacos, which was fine. Let's start with the design of the restaurant. It was beautiful, nice colors, best wall art I've seen in a restaurant since Delmonicos here in Rochester NY, and even the bathroom wall art was looking really nice. Loved the colorful touches and attention to detail you guys gave in this restaurant so good job with that . The service, just like the first small location you guys had was the exact same. Service was phenomenal and also I loved the fact that DA Taste has a diverse staff representing them! The cashiers were nice as heck to us and even when they came to check on me and my lady they called us by name which I truly appreciated . And last but not least the food....like chileeeeee where do I even begin. To take an hour drive to come and get some tacos is worth every penny. I don't think y'all understand how in love I am with these tacos. For the last year me and my lady have come to Buffalo and y'all were either closed or just serving ramen, which I'm mad I didn't order because I wanted some of that too, but them tacos are literally everything. I had three tacos. First one was the Philly cheesesteak, not gonna lie, it's not my favorite but was still really good, second one was jerk chicken which like got damn that was phenomenal, and that honey garlic chicken with the Mac n cheese that right there....that taco right there...THATS MI ALL TIME FAVE ‼‼‼ read more
Never have I ever thought I would pay $7/$8 for a taco, but I'm going to do it every time with pride when I get a chance to come here. I've been here on 2 separate occasions, and every taco I've had was great. The burria tacos are a staple. I recommend beef over chicken. I've had the hot honey garlic chicken, brisket, shrimp po boy, barria (beef and chicken), and the Philly cheese steak. They were all awesome. I've never been to the other location, so I was excited to see what the hype was about. The line will always be long, but the wait will be worth it. I highly recommend ordering ahead even when doing pick up. Unless you have at least an extra 30 minutes to wait for food. This location has seating, so you can wait inside. There is no liquor/beer, but they do have soft drinks and water. There are 2 unisex bathrooms. They even offer ice cream. I can't wait to try their ramen because that burria consomme is something special. Treat yourself and take some time out....for the love of tacos! read more

Man wow step out buffalo posted about this one and I'm glad we tried. This is not authentic Mexican and doesn't pretend to be. They sell delicious American tacos and they're awesome. Very creative ideas and food here and it's all very good! I had the jerk chicken taco and the honey garlic fried chicken taco and both were awesome. Also had the pleasure of trying their pretzel bites with smoked queso and their home made brookies both awesome as well. They have a combo for two tacos pretzel bites and a drink which is more than enoigh to eat. Super yummy go check them out for sure! Pricing wasn't too bad and they've got outdoor seating. We did wait a while because there was a consistent line but that's not entirely a bad thing just means it's well liked! read more

Finally had a chance to check this place out! The woman behind the counter was so patient and friendly, in spite of the large crowds and long wait ahead for everyone. Unfortunately, they were out of the beef birria-which I was really hoping to try, but the other tacos did not disappoint. The lobster roll and shrimp po boy were the standouts. Some of the most creative tacos I have had in Buffalo. Super flavorful, hot and crispy. I loved all of the tacos I had but my favorites were the beef birria and the jerk chicken. The new location is really nice and has a cool hand painted mural. The wait was pretty fast considering how well crafted everything was, the tacos were a work of art. We called ahead to their new location on Seneca st. This was an order for an office so it was 9 people and a pretty big order. They were able to easily accommodate us and said it would only be 25 minutes. We went to pick it up and everything was packaged perfectly. And EVERY single person in the office raved about their order. Not one complaint! read more

All the hype had to finally give it a try. New sit down restaurant was packed. Very popular place. Fun clean dining area. Paintings and decor were spot on. Too many people to take a lot of pics without people getting weirded out... Combo lunch 2 tacos smoked queso and chips was very good. Cool non traditional choices. Had Dom's taco and the Stinger! Both delicious but favored the Stinger personally. Only had canned soda for beverages . Probably will do take out next trip. I'm not gonna lie, kinda pricey but won't keep me from going back again. to finally give it a try. New sit down restaurant was packed. Very popular place. Fun clean dining area.
