I'm from California so I was nervous when I saw they had birria tacos, and they did not disappoint. Deliciously slow cooked to perfection! Atmosphere: lackluster. Service: apathetic. Food: mid. We went here mainly for the soft serve margaritas. They did not have them available when we arrived (appreciated the heads up) and we got them about an hour after we got there. We had to be there quite a long time for a counter service restaurant. They stated that each one is about 3 shots worth of liquor, so my friend and I split one and my other friend didn't finish hers. I finally got to order them and the bartender walked away seemingly towards the soft serve machine and then idk where. 5-10 minutes later we got her attention and reminded her about them. Then had to wait again before receiving them. Had to wait an additional few minutes after receiving them for the extra cup we had asked for (to split as they were large and due to alcohol content). When I then asked for a spoon I was informed "we don't have spoons we have forks" but then did receive a tiny spoon that usually comes in the drink. The soft serve was pretty good but not worth the drive nor did it make up for the overall experience. I also had to piece of plastic catch in the back of my throat on what made it my late bite of soft serve. Upon further inspection, were some scraps of plastic on the straw in the soft serve probably from cutting them in half. People who had ordered before us seemed to have have waiting for but too for the drinks and when they had them ready the workers took atleast 3-5 minutes taking pictures of them before they served them to the customers. The other customers seemed annoyed like "are those are drinks we have been waiting for?!" I get posting on social media etc. is important for businesses but it's probably better to wait to do that when you don't have a bunch of people waiting for their drinks. The chips and dips (we got all of the dips) were fine. The tacos were also fine to good. Of the ones we ordered the favorites seem to have been the pork and jerk chicken. Least favorite was the shrimp po boy as it lacked flavor. Nothing we ate was so great that we'd choose this place over various taco spots. We also got the churros to go and tried a few on them. They ran out of the caramel sauce but they were good. I think it could be improved by having utensils (forks, spoons, knives) available at all and then easily accessible and possibly a better ordering system. Currently you wait to order food and then go to the bar to order drinks. The common theme is waiting. Might run more smoothly if you can order all at once. So if you're coming here for the soft serve margaritas and have very low expectations about everything else you'll probably be happy. The food was just okay, and the service was average at best. All the workers seemed like they wanted to be anywhere else and it seemed like you were bothering them to ask for anything. The bar tender knew we were waiting and never bothered to mention they were ready and we were sitting right in front of her. So then we had to wait behind a bunch of people who had just walked in as we watched her serving them. Which by the way she spent way too long trying to take pictures of from every angle, then bringing them to another employee to take pictures of for better lighting. All while the group, as well as a line of others, were waiting. My friend finally gets to the front and she takes our order and then disappears for a good 5 minutes, comes back and starts making another drink. Looks up and sees me walk up and goes "oh I'll have your drinks in a minute". She had clearly forgotten about our order. She then goes over to the machine and proceeded to put all the "toppings" of the flower, tiny duck, straw, etc into the drink with her bare hands. Which I found a little unsanitary. That all being said the margarita was pretty good as were the churros we had for dessert. However they were out of the caramel that was supposed to go on top. Would I come back? My Mom and I split a combo wirh a Nashville hot fried chicken taco and a stinger taco hot. My friend and her daughter got the fried hot honey taco and a stinger bbq. I've been looking forward to coming her for months! Mother's day weekend was the perfect opportunity. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We arrived about 830 and they're open till 11. It took 40 min to get our chips. Which we went up and asked to get them. They arrived burnt. We asked for a new batch and waa told there are no more chips (and that's why we got what we got ). I kindly asked for a refund, and the manager waa happy to help. I'm currently still waiting for the refund. The bartender was not only rude and very unapproachable, I felt like we we're bothering her. I asked what flavor frozen margaritas they had today and I was told "didn't you read the board!". I brushed it off still orderd and the drinks was delicious. Dare I say the only good thing we had that night . Saw the videos of the soft serve margaritas and awesome looking food, so we had to check it out. Service was great with friendly staff who love to introduce you to all of the unique options. The self seat dining offers plenty of interior seating along with a patio on the side. Each bite we took of the three tacos we tried, the more we were delighted by the flavors. We would order all three of these tacos again, with our favorite being the honey garlic fried chicken taco due to its delicious flavor and amazing sauce. I got the Philly Cheese Steak taco, and Shrimp Po Boy taco. There was a buffalo chicken taco, honey garlic chicken taco and so much more... my mouth was on rollercoaster ride trying so many new combinations of flavors. The super polite woman at the counter got our order taken within a few minutes of walking in the the door and we took our seat in the clean and art laden dining area. Those wall murals.. awesome. The stinger taco was loaded with some tender and flavorful steak and chicken finger, and the Nashville hot taco was loaded with sauced fingers and Mac... both crispy and rich with amazing flavor, and the smoked queso, I coulda used more , it was absolutely incredible. This shoulda be a 4 star but the problem was the wait. 30 minutes to make 4 tacos in a very lightly filled dining room. I was so excited to come here because it's been on my list for years and unfortunately it wasn't as great as I hoped. Being the first time, we weren't sure how everything worked and when we walked in we just had a menu thrown at us and when you're ready come back to the counter to order. There were numbers on the table so it looked like they were taken by others that may have stepped outside (there were many people waiting outside for their order) so we asked where we can sit and they said "anywhere". So we sat and hoped no one came back to say we took their seats. It all worked out fine and apparently the numbers mean nothing so they should have taken them off the tables. We also had to ask how to order a drink from "the bar" which was the smallest bar and people were sitting at it that you couldn't see a menu or anything. We had to go back to the first counter with the not so friendly people to ask how to order drinks and the available flavors and again just pointed to a white board like we should know the drill. The frozen margarita was good so I will give them that but the tacos were just ok. I tried the Philly cheesesteak and it was a small amount of steak and cheese and not much flavor. This is one of the most popular taco spots in Buffalo for good reason! I had only tried their tacos once before at a concert so I definitely had their new location on my list to get to as soon as I could. They opened up at noon and I got there just as they were opening the doors. There was already a line forming to get in. Awesome combination and I loved the prices for it too. I didn't get the trendy birria taco this time. Instead, I opted for the big mac style taco and then just a standard taco as well. Everything was delicious and I washed it down with a loganberry. Talk about a Buffalo lunch for sure. The only warning I have is they are busy from open to close it seems so when you go, make sure you have the time to wait. I tried their taco combo, which came with two tacos, a drink, and chips and queso. for my tacos I got the Nashville fried taco and the Stinger taco. Both were delicious and flavorful! I also got two additional tacos to try more of the traditional options, including the Birria taco and one called Dom's taco. This were good as well, but definitely didn't hit as hard as the bold flavors of the other two. The chips were supposed to come with a smoked queso, but that was missing from my order and since this was a pick up, I didn't realize it until I was home already. The chips themselves were fine though. Just used my own salsa with them. This was my second time having DA taste and first in the restaurant. I went around 9:30pm so it was not busy. The restaurant is cute with decent seating. We were warned it would be a 30-35 minute wait to get our food and it was maybe slightly longer. But the wait was worth it. I got the beef birria and my partner got the fish tacos. We also got the lavender mint lemonade. All were delicious. Two things that I just want to just mention. One, the fish tacos didn't list that they came with cheese but they did. I think making sure that is listed on the menu would be wise for our lactose-free friends. Two, it's on the expensive side for tacos and lemonade. Tasteless dry beef in my birria, with minimal to no toppings and condiments. A little over $50 for a very tasteless meal, after waiting over 45 minutes.
