My coffee lover nephew raved about this new find so I had to come in with him. We ordered a cappuccino, hot caramel latte, and a plain croissant (not pictured). Both were so good! In fact I didn't need to add my customary packet of raw sugar to my cappuccino bc it was so nice. The caramel latte was perfectly sweetened and both were beautifully presented (I'm a sucker for the heart latte art). The croissant (from Colossus) was expectantly delicious also. The barista (Steven) was super nice! He was patient with us during our skirmish over who would pay (iykyk), perfectly warmed up our croissant, and even brought our coffees to our table. Service here is impeccable in every way (IMO as I'm no longer a gum chewer). The minimalistic environment, not too loud coffee shop music, and outlets at every table makes it the perfect spot for remote workers, students, and anyone who just wants a place to chill. Gotta be one of the best coffee shops in Long Beach. Everything I've tried so far is amazing. From their cold brew, to their chai lattes, and their lavender lattes. Everything is well balanced and spot on. They use Say When chai which is so good and hard to get giving a creamy chai vibe but is well done. The baristas are all kind and asked me what I had going on, which me being a student down the street I had some school work ahead of me. They walked my drink to me which was so kind and not really expected. Typically I'll walk to the bar to grab my own drink. This was above and beyond already and they asked if I needed anything else, I wasn't about to ask them to take my gum to the trash for me so I let them know everything was perfect. Music is pretty chill, the bathroom is fresh and clean, AND they have a water bottle refill station which is so convenient! Definitely recommend and coming back for sure. read more

Came here in between classes to study and loved the vibe! there is a good amount of seating inside as well as a bathroom for customers. I ordered the iced chai with oat milk and pumpkin cold foam in a 12oz and it was 7.50. wouldn't have been too bad without the alt milk charge but it was pretty good! The foam was super thick and creamy and had great flavor. The employees were also very friendly and brought the drink to me when it was ready which i thought was nice. i got the specialty hummingbird syrup, which is a banana, pineapple, coconut syrup. I was a bit skeptical of the flavor with Matcha, but the workers there made me confident that it would taste good. I got the hummingbird foam with Matcha and the hummingbird syrup in it because another worker told me that their Matcha is not sweetened at all, and I really like how she was really honest! When I first tasted it, it was really good! I liked how the flavors balanced each other and I was able to taste the Matcha and the syrup combined, even though it was kind of an overload of syrup and foam. The cup was really small, so it was kind of sad to see the drink so small but it was so good! The place is pretty cool and they have a nice café, but I didn't take too many pictures inside. I definitely wanna come back if they come out with more specialty syrups because this one was a hit. read more

1. Ambiance and Environment Cyclops Coffee is in the middle of a very small row of shops, with a modest amount of parking out front. The exterior is very nice and one of the things that stood out the most to me was the fact that the storefront was almost entirely made out of glass. This brought in a ton of natural light to the interior of the store - which, combined with the light fixtures, really brightened up the place. The coffee shop also had very high ceilings and a spacious rectangular floor plan. The seating areas weren't too closely placed to one another. 2. Food and Drinks The iced chai I got was a tad bit potent for me, but after getting watered down by the ice provided within the cup, it tasted perfect. I didn't get any other food or drink items at that time. 3. Service The service definitely brought up my rating for Cyclops Coffee to 5 stars. The staff members were very amicable, conversational, and helpful as well. I was a little bit unsure what to get during my visit and the staff member asked me two questions and then provided me with a recommendation based on my responses. The staff member recommended an iced chai with oat milk and no added syrups, and it was exactly what I wanted. While I was sitting at the bar, my drinks were served to me in glass cups - which elevated the experience pretty well - and the staff members were also proactive with water refills. They made sure to offer water refills whenever they saw my water cup empty. It was a small act of thoughtfulness that I found to be very impactful with my experience. 4. Pricing Pricing was very reasonable, and I really appreciated that they didn't try to excessively upsell their drinks. You can add milks or syrups for an added fee, but based on what my preferences were, they conservatively recommended an addition of just oat milk - no syrup - for my iced chai. It really made me feel comfortable since I do understand that upselling is necessary for businesses to grow, but I do find excessive upselling to be distasteful. 5. Restroom The restroom was exceptionally clean. I think they would benefit from locking up the cleaning supplies within that are also stored within the restroom, but the cleanliness and aesthetic of the restroom was noteworthy. 6. Parking Parking can be a bit tough during peak hours. I recommend getting there outside of peak hours. 7. Study-Friendliness Very study-friendly location! They have wifi, tons of outlets, and the music wasn't too loud to the point that you could hear it over your earphones if you choose to listen to your own music while studying. read more

I had an iced vanilla latte and wife had a hot latte, we were both a bit stunned as the taste didn't match the reviews. The coffee was not bad it just wasn't what we were expecting and honestly not worth drinking past half way, I know it sounds a bit harsh but I have to be honest. Stopped by Cyclops today because I was in the area to do some work and I'm so blown away. It is now one of my top 10 place to do work/study. There is plenty of outlets and wifi is strong. The environment is very friendly and baristas are so nice. The pastries look so good too but I didn't have any. I got a matcha latte with strawberry stand syrup and it is solid. I am very picky with my matcha and I've had plenty around the OC and LA area. It is on the lighter side but the strawberry syrup was amazing (made in house). Safe to say I would be back and bringing friends for study dates or just to hang out. It seems like a big community spot where people just come to chat and hang out. PS parking is also easy because they share a lot with other businesses. Easy parking in Long Beach is always a perk. read more

Excited to try this new coffee shop. The atmosphere is calm, clean, & peaceful. My latte was not too sweet and not too milky as I requested. They really listened to what I wanted and I got the perfect iced drink. They also have vegan donuts and pastries that looked delicious.
