So I ordered takeout because I wanted to get home and watch pride and prejudice with the puppy. However, when I pull up to pick up the food, the kitchen door is open to the street and I am concerned I am in the wrong place. I then notice a small dining area next to the kitchen door with a separate entrance. Having the kitchen door open to the customers has me nervous as it's entrance literally comes from the street. That alone would have dropped it to 4 stars, but I would like to point out that they messed up my order - I had ordered Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikki Masala and they gave me something that was not Chicken Korma and the Tikki Masala was quite watered down. Okay. This review will lack details on my end. I must have been mentally exhausted that day to not to have retained many specifics. My g/f and I wanted lunch near our office and had seen Curry Corner but neither of us had ever been before. It was suspect from the outside but I've learned never to judge a book by its cover. We arrived way before the lunch crowd so the place was empty when we entered. The decor was okay (sorry didn't really pay much attention) from what I remember. We decided on a booth since all the spots were open. On to my next lack of detail. I don't remember the name of the entree that I ordered. But I ordered it since it was the closest thing to saag paneer that I could find. I was not disappointed. (My younger self would be amazed that I would ever look forward and enjoy eating something that looked that questionable, if you know what I mean). It was absolutely delicious!! I also ordered a potato naan (guess I really wanted carbs that day) and was also very good. The service was good. And by the time we finished our lunch the place was totally full. The dish my g/f ordered was not what she had visualized but she said it was absolutely delish. It's been a long time since I've had tandoori that was this tender with that tangy flavor that permeated deep into the meat. - The chicken tikka masala was a little thin, but the chicken was tender and the sauce had a couple layers of flavor to it. Two words: Goat Karahi. The reason I will be willing to drive from San Tan Valley to Tempe again. Hopefully I spelled this right, by the way. I forgot to grab a take-out menu to get names right. Anyway, this dish was suggested by our server. Who incidentally was very courteous and attentive. The goat was tender, flavorful and just delicious. We should have ordered two dishes of it because it comes on the bone and my husband and I were left wanting more. We also had the Chicken Korma, which was good but when we return we'll try something else. Prices are excellent, entrees include either rice or naan. We opted for rice but also ordered garlic naan. Good call on our part. The naan was crispy and soft at the same time with great garlic flavor. Yum! If I understand correctly, they've recently remodeled. I saw no problems with cleanliness, one of the things that seems to have been an issue previously. Had a nice chat with our server about how their experience was with Guy Fieri as well. Me and my wife have been a frequent visitor of Curry Corner in Tempe for about a year. In our initial visits the food was very good in quality and also was enough in quantity to justify the price. However, our last two visits has left us seriously considering if we should ever come back here again. In our visit before last, we ordered a chicken tikka plate, which previously used to come with two pretty big size of chicken pieces, enough to satisfy two people. However this time we were surprised to see how small the size of the piece has gotten. Along with that the quality of the spices and in terms of the way it was cooked, was just very poor. We thought that it might have been just a bad day for us, and we should give it another try. We tried Curry Corner again tonight, and ordered a Mid Sizzler platter, and were surprised beyond belief when we got three small cubes of chicken, with one kabob piece, and a small chicken tikka piece in the whole platter! Initially this platter used to have three times more content. The small cubes of chicken were so hard to chew and we could easily tell that they were not fresh or made the same day. Infact, after coming home me and wife both got sick, and had an upset stomach! Is this a new management change you have had? If you have just a bit of patience you will get really good food. My boyfriend had Indian food for the first time here and was not disappointed, despite him not liking spicy things particularly (the servers took note and suggested things with help from my Indian roommates). I ordered the hummus which came with 2 pitas and the palak panneer, which was amazing and delicious. We all ended up not being able to finish our meals so we got doggy bags that sealed shut and a plastic bag. Once again was let down by the quality of food. Each time I've been there, it seems to have degraded. Tikka masala fries were oily and the fries themselves were not crispy/ undercooked. Seekh Kabob and chapli kabob were not very flavorful and the size of the serving seems to have shrunk. The chana puri combo was abysmal. The chana dish was watery and for the Puri, they seemed to have used the naan batter and fried it, so the Puri was more like fried naan! I decided to try this place after searching for a good Indian place near me. There's quite a few options in Tempe, but since this place had good reviews I decided to give it a try. Service was good and the prices were very good. I couldn't decide on what to get but the waitress suggested I try the Arabic Plate. It's not on the menu and has a few items on it. For $11 dollars its a lot of food. I opted for Garlic Naan with my dish. The Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala were delicious. The Hummus was good and the rice was tasty. Speaking with the waiter he didn't seem to understand what "vegan" meant - i guess that makes this place authentic, like you're actually traveling overseas. I've been here twice in the last two weeks on the recommendation of my co-workers and ordered the same thing both times. They give you a ton of food and it's really good. You can easily get two big meals from a single order or the biryani and the naan is excellent. Check this place out. I have been to this restaurant numerous times and have always been fully satisfied from every aspect, taste, quantity, service and money. It is truly the biggest bang for the buck. The grilled menu, like the malai chicken, mixed grill, chicken tikka and chick boti are the best. In addition, their chicken biryani delivers a great taste to their rice menu. Tikka masala fries are something I have never heard of before until I tasted it at curry corner. It was amazing. I think this is something that they innovated. When you call up to order out they hang up immediately after taking the order without telling you how long it will take to make or even saying thank you or goodbye. If you eat in, there is always the same lone miserable looking server there who wants as little to do with the customer's happiness as possible. Apart from that, the food is very tasty. I am not a fan of curry corner to begin with, but my friend was raving about the food being better now so I was excited to give it another go. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. My friends and I ordered chicken jalfrezi ( didn't even look like chicken jalfrezi when it came out), chicken tikka masala (super watery-bland), palak paneer (had a burnt taste to the paneer), garlic naan (soft/was not cooked fully). Ctm fries are always good so no complaints with that, but the rest of the food was sooooo bland and watery, I was so sad. I feel like curry corners food caters to everyone that isn't Pakistani/Indian the spices were just not there !!! Even my friends who are Puerto Rican/Native American said they tasted no flavor. Tasted like frozen food was just warmed up with watery salan. The service was also very slow/seemed understaffed but our waiters/waitresses were very polite. This was my first time indian food so i needed some help. The waiter took long time to explain me all the signature dishes. That is really sweet. He suggested me some beef and shrimp dishes. I just followed his suggestions. It took some time to arrive the food but when the food arrived, the smell increased my appetite. The beef was superb. I believe the name is nehari noor. I loved the punjabi shrimp handi also. it has mouth watering taste and smell. I would recommend naan with all of their dishes. Potato naan is a great addition with the food. Now the best part, I was just kidding with waiter that , today is my birthday - so do you have any special dessert for me ? the guy came back with some dessert called kheer. He said thats your birthday present. I was so happy to get such present from an indian restaurent. It made my day. Some things i noticed. Overall, the customer service is really good. The waiter came several times to ask if we need something even though it was busy. But everytime different people come and ask. I think they should divide their seating arrangement so that one customer sticks with one waiter. This place is absolutely wonderful!!!!! The food is always great no matter how many times you order it. The Chicken Mahkni (I think that is how it is spelled) is an amazingly creamy and flavorful dish, especially with the Briyani rice. Great Tikki Masala too. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Potato Naan, my husband requests an order just to himself. I have only ever ordered out so I have had little experience with the full on customer experience, but the friendliness of the waitresses is hit and miss, but I cannot vouch for the dinning in experience. The cheese naan is out of this world good - it is light and flavorful and just the right combination of crispy outside and soft inside. I love that there are so many meatless options. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because every time I go, the water is constantly running in the women's bathroom. It never shuts off, and that bothers me. Came here late at night after a road trip near closing time - the staff was very accommodating and allowed us to dine in even though they were doing take=out only at that point. The mango lassi was excellent - a little bit on the sweet side (I usually like it a little tart), but tasted like it was made from real mangoes rather than the prepackaged stuff. The chicken boti was some of the best I've tasted - the meat was juicy and fully flavored, and the spiced onions complement it nicely. Though the atmosphere seems like it's geared towards the college crowd from nearby ASU, Curry Corner is a great place to get a nice filling meal, and I'd definitely consider coming back if I'm in town again. read more

He asked if they had any alcoholic beverages and they said no but he can go next door and buy alcohol there and bring it on. I thought that was really cool.
