    Half prime rib dip

The good news is this place is a solid 4 stars, and for me, 5 is very much within reach. Everything was good, just a few easy misses. We had planned to hike the Katy Trail and grab lunch somewhere along the trail, but it started raining on the drive, so we pivoted to my nearest bookmarked spot and ended up here. The space is really nice inside, kind of a Hillstone vibe inside. We already knew what we wanted since I had done a little research during the detour, also we were hungry, no time to deliberate!!. We split the French dip and the mango salad. Our server was a doll, though her shorts were way too short for a place like this. I do love that they split the dishes for you, so we each got our own plated portions. The fries were outstanding, I'm not sure the secret here, but I mean it... maybe the best part of the meal. The French dip was good overall. Great meat, a soft roll, and the horseradish sauce was excellent. The au jus was a little salty, but isn't it always?? The salad is where things slipped a bit. It was still good, but it the wilted lettuce seemed like it had been sitting DRESSED for a while, (and this was romaine I think, and that takes much longer to wilt than mixed greens...,did we get a older dupe order ? or do they really dress the salads at start of service here?) I only found one tiny sliver of dried mango in my portion. My husband claims he got none, though he is not the most reliable source on details like that. But again, the salad was still good, it could have been GREAT! I liked it a lot, but I do not feel a strong pull to come back. I feel like I got the gist.

Decided to try this place out. The food was good. Just disappointed that it took an hour to get our food. It appeared that day they were short staffed. Didn't take a picture of the food because we decided to take it to go. . The Manager accommodated for the delay. I am grateful for him doing the ethical thing by giving us a discount. I would go again to eat there. They have well served plates.

To start with the views are great. But the rest was mediocre. Want to come back to try for happy hour and think that may be better than brunch. The bacon Bloody Mary was just ok. The only bacon thing about it was the piece of bacon even though was supposed to be bacon infused. The chicken and biscuits were ok. Was a lot of food but nothing besides the gravy had flavor.

I stopped by this place while I was in Texas because I was staying nearby. I'm glad I came in the place has a great vibe and beautiful decor. I was doing a pick up order but they were very helpful and I got a chopped chicken salad and I also had to try the deviled eggs because I love them. The deviled eggs were very good at a chopped chicken salad was very filling. I'd love to return and sit on their upper deck area because it looks beautiful.

I have been to multiple culinary dropout locations and this one did not disappoint. They did a great job in the interior, feels very upscale and nice to enjoy your meal. Bartenders were fantastic and informative. I had the steak frites which was cooked great and tasted even better. I have had many dishes, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!!!

I have always wanted to try this place in dallas! It was great! lots of space and several levels, as well as places for private events in individuals rooms. The rooftop is beautiful and very spacious with a lot of great outdoor lighting. THe food is great overall, especially the spicy rigatoni pasta and the korean vegetable dish. The pretzel breads with cheese was my favorite!! Service was fantastic, and everyone was nice from the moment I stepped in.

We stopped here before heading to the airport. It was a great suggestion and a time well spent. Both the inside and outside (rooftop) dining area were accommodating for any party any size, and decorated very appeasingly. The four of us sat on the rooftop, the sun kissed us warmly. Our waitress was quite demeanor wise and pretty attentive. Everyone was thoroughly pleased with their meals and drinks. We split the chicken biscuit, my goodness the chicken was cooked so well, nice crunchy bites. The biscuit was hugeeee, tasty. The Cajun gravy was different but a good touch, I dipped several bites into it. We would definitely return!

Pretty good service and a nice atmosphere but good god almighty it's expensive and the happy hour was pretty early! I think it's a good place for a birthday or an event but not a casual Wednesday evening --2025 update-- I have ended up going to culinary drop out a handful of times and generally would say I'm pretty happy with the progress I've seen. The food and drinks are always good. Yes still a bit overpriced but great ambiance, great service, always parking. I really enjoyed the rooftop for my birthday dinner and had a tasty dessert with my family when they came to town. Only reason I can't give a 5 star rating is because last time I went I found a hair in my food towards the end of meal :(

Went to Culinary Dropout on a Saturday night around 8pm. It was busy, but we were seated quickly and our waitress was great. Attentive, friendly, and the staff overall did not seem overwhelmed, which I appreciated given how packed it was. The vibe was definitely a highlight. There was a cover artist performing, the energy was good, and the crowd was diverse. It felt lively without being chaotic, which made it a nice spot for a weekend night out. Food-wise, the appetizers were noticeably better than the entrees. If I came back, I would absolutely stick to drinks and apps. For entrees, we ordered the ribs and the fried chicken. The ribs were honestly underwhelming. I hate to say it, but I have had better ribs at Chili's. The fried chicken lacked flavor, and the Brussels sprouts were cold and overly sauced, which made them pretty disappointing. On top of that, I was served a flat soda, which did not help the overall experience. Overall, not a bad spot, but the food was hit or miss. I would go back for the atmosphere, drinks, and appetizers, just not the entrees.

I went to this place after having heard about it for a while. They have a great happy hour on their rooftop area but wasn't able to get a table good to get there early or make a reservation. The restaurant is large and inviting making for a nice mix of casual luxury. I got the French Dip sandwich and it had a lot of flavor I liked dipping it in the au juice that comes with it and the buffalo sauce. I look forward to coming back to try some more

We used to frequent the Phoenix Scottsdale location and we absolutely loved it there so imagine my suprise to discover we have a new one right in my backyard! Who doesn't love a good view? Ugh stunning, thank you for displaying our city in the best way with such a great view (peep the pics) Ambiance: Laid back with the potential to be dressy given the occasion or season. With the winter time, they had the tarps to protect from cold windy nights but I'm excited to see our skyline without the plastic cover - it's still gorgeous and very much worth a visit especially for out of town guests. Food: Elevated comfort/bar food but without the grease. Somewhat healthier options and great cocktails, mocktails and beer if you're into that. Service: Ask for Zuma! Not only did he serve us with a smile, but he immediately fixed my nachos when my lovely companion accidentally ordered them standard (pork nachos). He graciously took them back, corrected it and came back with nachos I can eat :) Special notes: -They have private and semi private spaces for up to 250 guests

Came to brunch at culinary dropout and had a good experience. Our server Carmen was amazing, very attentive and was pretty fun. Their patio is so nice with an amazing view of Dallas- I bet it's great to be there during patio weather! The food is pretty good too. I had the prime rib Sandwhich and it was tasty. It's basically a French dip but oh so delicious! My only hesitation with this place is that it's very expensive. Drinks are like $16-18 each, my meal was like $26. I'd recommend this place for like a celebratory restaurant, but not a casual place. I did see they had a decent happy hour so I want to come back for that!

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. Food - 4 Service - 3…read more Ambiance -4 Went on a Tuesday night while visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.
