LOVED this spot! My friend I stumbled across this gem after church one Sunday and it was quite a lovely surprise. Everything from the food, ambiance and company were perfect. It had such a cozy but sophisticated environment. The bar staff was PHENOMENAL. Really taking their time to make conversation and give suggestions even though they were busy. Something I always appreciate. They anticipated our needs and made sure we were comfortable. My friend and I were having the best time, eating amazing pizza and drinking phenomenal wine. I'm not the person to type up a review but felt this needed to be said. My husband and I were excited to try this place for our birthday dinners based on reviews but it did not exceed our expectations. Not sure if the restaurant was having a bad night or what. We first noticed the bartender and the manager kept getting on to the poor hostess girl. I understand people make mistakes but don't get onto her in front of guests. We were seated about 20 min after our reserved time, that wasn't a big deal since we weren't in a hurry. The complementary bread smelled like a McDonalds biscuit, I kid you not. Not what I want to smell when we are wanting to eat at a nice restaurant. The entrees were very under salted and were not good. I have never not finished a meal at a restaurant because of how bad it tasted. The Gnocchi was watery and tasted very similar to spaghetti-o's. The cubed potatoes in the pesto pasta were not cooked all the way through. It was a one and done experience unfortunately. read more

Dined here for dinner in May 2022 and had the mafalde, the l'agnello pizza and the pork ossobuco. Hate to say this, but they were all so disappointingly lacking flavor. We even made a comment to the server that we think the chef forgot the salt that evening. Especially for the price of the dishes we were anticipating a much better food quality. Out of our week of dining at a variety of restaurants in Nashville, Brentwood, and Franklin, this was by far our least favorite :(. Will say as a plus that the service was pleasant. read more

Bartenders are top notch. Service is hit or miss. Tonight was a miss and we couldn't figure out why. Busy but tables weren't turning fast. Food is good but my least favorite is the pasta. Meatballs are phenomenal. Pizza is great. Pasta is ok. It has very little flavor and portions are small for pasta. My husband and I do split but we do this everywhere and compared to north italia, the portions are small. The big issue here are the taxes. Net 20% because we order alcohol and food, expensive on a $15 drink. Ends up being 22%+ on a drink with tip. Some restaurants pass this along and others don't. Terrible experience here and won't be back. We had a party of 12 and was told upon making the reservation that they would be able to accommodate us. Reservation was made well in advance. They said they could put 2 tables together. We were told that at least 24 hours notice had to be given to cancel a reservation. The day of our reservation on June 23rd my sister who had made the original reservation was called at 4pm. Our reservation was for 6. She was left a voicemail that all they could do for us was to have us at 2 round tables beside each other. This was completely unacceptable seeing as how it was only 2 hours before our reservation time and too late to cancel. My sister did not even hear the voicemail until 5:30. We had family from out of town with us and desperately wanted to all be together to celebrate my mom's birthday at what we expected to be a very nice place and more than willing to be able to accommodate us, as that is what was translated when she made the reservation. We get there and sure enough all they had for us was 2 round tables in the middle of the room. We weren't even able to talk to our family at the other table. Considering the prices of the food I expected much much more from this restaurant. This was our first time here and will be our last. In addition several of us were not happy with our food as some was over salted and some had no seasoning whatsoever. Oh and also we were told when we got there that we would need to be gone by 8 because they had another party coming in. I've never been to a place that told me I had to leave by a certain time. This was a MAJOR turnoff!!! First you don't seat us together as you had said you could do when reservations were made, second the food is sub par and 3rd you tell us we have to leave in 2 hours!!! Upon leaving my sister spoke with the manager/owner (idk) and he offered NOTHING other than saying to her that this is not how he expects his business to run. Nothing else but a bunch of bullshit. This is a complete fail for you as a restaurant and we will never come back and will tell our friends and family to never go as well! We know A LOT OF PEOPLE!!! If i could rate this place zero stars that is what it would be for me!! You ruined what should have been an amazing 70th birthday for my mom! P.S. Don't expect a quiet intimate dinner. To start off, the ambiance of this place is superb. Set in a quiet area of Franklin, if one comes here on a date night, candles are lit at tables to set the mood. My date and I decided to start are evening with the fragola frizzante cocktail, which is a combination of vodka and Prosecco. I must say, if you are a fan of Prosecco, and like cocktails the perfect amount of sweet, this is what you need in your life! We were then introduced to the freshly baked complementary bread that comes with ricotta. I can be picky about my breads, but this was absolutely delicious! The fact it was complimentary with the meal made it even better! For entrees, I decided to get the "il fienile " pizza. This pizza contains artichoke, prosciutto, pecorino cream, and a farm egg placed on top. To add even more flavor, the pizza dough goes through a 72-hour fermentation process in house. This pizza was absolutely incredible! I have not had a pizza this good since I was in Rome a few years ago studying abroad. If you go there, try this! My date got the gnocchi that came with slow braised rabbit. This was also out of this world. The perfect combination of flavor, paired with the perfectly cooked rabbit was mouth watering. Brava chef! This was my favorite dining experience in Franklin! The bread service with ricotta is the perfect way to start the meal. I really enjoyed the burrata salad, however, I had it served without beets. Delicious. The asparagus fritters are also a great appetizer. Went here for the first time tonight and dined on the cute back patio with heaters. It was during their "in-between" lunch and dinner period so we only had a limited menu but it was still all great. Our server, Reed, was wonderful, very prompt and knowledgeable about the menu! We started with a calamari, which was excellent. Mixed in were delicious grilled vegetables that went perfectly with the calamari and mayo. Since we were told the portions were smaller, we ordered two pastas and a pizza for our shared entrees. The gnocchi sauce was delicious and loved all the fresh pieces of parmesan. The lamb in the lamb pasta was soo well-seasoned and delicious. The pizza was very unique and tasty--prosciutto, artichoke, hen of the woods mushroom, egg, and a white sauce. Everything was very fresh and well made. From out of town, we visited this restaurant in lovely downtown Franklin. Everything from the customer service to the food to the ambience was fantastic. We split a pizza and salad, both were so tasty and plenty of food. They also gave us some bread with goat cheese drizzled with olive oil and herbs - perfecto. For dessert we got affogatos, mine pistachio ice cream, his dark chocolate, probably the best I've had in a long time. Next time I'm back in Franklin will definitely stop here again. read more

The starting bread and oil with ricotta cheese is delicious. We tried the meatball appetizer and the mafalde pasta was fantastic! All of the pastas are house made and you can taste the difference. The mafalde was a perfect combo with the basil pesto and shrimp. My husbands linguine was good but the mafalde would be hard not to get again. If you want good Italian food, this is the place! Culaccino opened very recently and have a great selection of artisan pastas, pizzas and also a nice cocktail menu. Great service and love the classy vibes! I stopped by to grab dinner with some coworkers, and we were able to snag a table on their outdoor patio. Definitely one of the places were you would go for a date or more special occasion vs. a casual typical dinner. We were in Nash business casual but other guests were dressed up for weekday dinner. Food RAVIOLI- Delicious and can taste the complexity of the dish but heads up that the portion is on the smaller side. CAMPANELE- My italian friend said it was probably the best she's had in Nashville! IL FIENILE Pizza- great pizza! L'AGNELLO SACRO is probably the one that is more raved about and I'll be back to try it! Dessert TIRAMISU- Giant portion and can easily be split between two-three people. TORTA- I would probably skip this the next time. A tad bit dry and overall not too impressed with the flavors. The table next door didn't finish theirs as well. Please beware that unlike traditional Italian restaurants who use extra virgin olive oil to cook anything besides fried items, this place uses a blend of oils which are pretty unhealthy. The mafalde is the best dish I had here and it was really delicious. Highly recommended. The delicata squash salad is also a really good option. I would pass on the Margherita pizza and the linguine. The lamb pizza is very good. Overall I'd say the pizza is good but not great and I wouldn't come to this restaurant for pizza personally (I think there are way better pizza options in NYC for example). read more

After an incredibly expensive and rather disappointing dinner at one of Nashville's most prestigious restaurants, my wife and I stumbled upon Culaccino. Let's just say, we made the extra effort to pay them a second visit (from Florida) this year because we enjoyed it so much. There were so many things we wanted to try on the menu, one trip barely scratched the surface. The potato leek agnolotti with rabbit ragout is still embedded in my brain as one of the top pasta dishes I've eaten. The pizzas set the bar for what it should be. Cocktails amazing. Superb service. The best food in downtown Franklin. Feels like food you would get in a big city but local. Amazing beef tartar. Not cheap but neither are the other restaurants nearby.
