Parking: There's a large parking lot, but it's always busy here, so finding a spot can be somewhat difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They're always poppin, and yes there'll be a line. There's signs everywhere asking for the door to remain closed if there's a line. Make sure you're not one of those people that can't read and leave the door open. It's pretty small inside. No indoor seating. They do have a small outdoor seating area. Service: Throughput was surprisingly quick for how long the line was. Shout out to the hard working women there. They're quick & efficient. They do have a heavy accent, and it could be difficult to understand them. Pastries & coffee: We ordered the strawberry croissants, caramel mocha latte, and white chocolate mocha latte. The strawberry croissants are the reasons why we always come back. Love how airy and perfectly crisp their croissants are. The filling isn't too sweet, and the strawberries are fresh. The lattes were okay .. I saw that they actually make their espressos by hand. The caramel mocha was sweet, of course. The white chocolate mocha was decent. Both could use a stronger coffee taste bc it was pretty light. We always come to pick up bakery goods every time we're in town. My husband's favorite for ages had always been the ham and cheese and chocolate croissants. Mine is the azuki cream. We got the strawberry pack of 6 this time for my aunt since we're visiting her today. We come every year and it's always hitting the spot. Today is 11.25 and it wasn't busy busy. The line went fast! We were in and out within 15 mins max. Not like other times where they have a long line out the door. They open at 5am even on Thanksgiving this year. Can't believe I haven't left a review for this place yet. The strawberry croissants are literally the best period. It's not a traditional croissant, but the lamination is still there, the crispy exterior holds up quite nicely with the custard filling. Custard is nothing special, but when paired with the pastry, it's something spectacular for sure. I remember there'd be a line outside the baker in the past, but now it seems quite manageable and service is super fast and efficient. Usually get in and out in less than 5 minutes. It's definitely not one of those cutesy Asian bakeries here, it's just a hidden gem tucked away in this corner of the town in Tustin. Of all the dessert shops, Cream Pan carries the team on its back in all of Tustin! I've eaten their strawberry croissants numerous times and they are consistently delicious. On my most recent visit, I decided to switch things up and ordered the An Donut, which contained a decadent red bean filling inside. Whenever we are in the Southern California area, we enjoy getting our Portos fix. On our recent spring break trip in the Anaheim area, we decided to try something new and visit Cream Pan. I heard this Japanese bakery is almost as popular as Portos, so we wanted to see what all the hype was about? We dropped by Cream Pan to grab some food to go for our road trip back home to the Bay. The bakery is located in a nice area in Tustin. There is plenty of parking in the large parking lot plaza. There was a line to get into the bakery but it goes by fairly quickly. Upon entering, the bakery had a nice mom and pops owned vibe to it. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered a 6 pack of the popular strawberry croissants, a pork katsu sando, a few onigiris, a couple of spam and egg rolls and a vanilla iced coffee. Everything was so delicious and savory. The strawberry croissants lived up to the hype. The cream and buttery pastry went very well together. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Cream Pan. Next time we are in the area, we will be back to grab the strawberry croissants again and try other pastries and sandos. read more

I stop here to pick up deserts for my customers and they really enjoy them. The Strawberry pastries are great here but my sleeper pick is the Curry rice here. Love a plate of it with a coke. Hubs was craving Cream Pan's Chicken Katsu so we drove here last Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner and shared the Azuki Cream while we waited for our Katsu for 15 minutes. Such a great value for under $15 and a generous portion. The Azuki Cream is so fresh, not too sweet and love the red bean/fresh cream combo. I was extremely disappointed on tuis visit. Not only did the croissants shrink half their original size but they don't even look like they used to. Never going back to this location again. This review is for their Customer Service. I have been going here for over 16 years. Progressively their treatment of customers has been getting progressively worse to the point I don't want to support their business anymore, unless they change. They literally yell at customers for leaving the front door open for more than a couple of seconds. It is beyond comprehension that this is allowed by management or the owners!! Fix the door mechanically or find a real solution. But yelling at customers to the point of making people in line flinch and cover their ears is NEVER acceptable. They have also gone out of their way to make customers unwelcome to eat their purchase at onsite. They removed the awnings outside which makes it almost impossible to eat outside during the day due to the intense heat. My family and I spend thousands of dollars here yearly. But I wont anymore until they realize that customers should be treated with respect and common courtesy. Customers can live without Cream Pan, but Cream Pan cannot survive without their customers. read more

I didn't get to try this place in person but I did have these croissants after my partner came back from a flight home to FL and they had help up in flavor. They are a Japanese inspired bakery and their claim to fame, and rightly deserved, is the strawberry croissant. However, everything is good here. They have so many different pastries, take out sandwiches, Japanese entrees, hand rolls, onigiri, bread, etc. They also have prepackaged party tray of the strawberry croissant so easy to come and pick up something for any party. I always grab a strawberry croissant but I also grabbed a steam pork bun on this trip. When I was in Japan. I did a convenience store pork bun challenge and I tried it at all the major convenience stores. If you are curious, I thought 7-11 was the best. Tangent aside, I was very happy to see steam pork buns at Cream Pan and I will be ordering it regularly. I usually come early in the morning so the line is manageable but it can get very long. BELIEVE THE HYPE. I've been recommended Cream Pan by friends before and it's always recommended me on Yelp and I never had the chance to try their baked goods until now. I even heard from other friends who came to a recent event that there was a super long line in the morning already. By the time I went here in the evening, a good chunk of their other goods were already sold out (other baked goods, onigiri, futomaki, etc.), but they still had fresh strawberry croissants getting pumped out throughout the day. Deliciously delicately flaky, nice amount of powdered sugar, generous custard cream inside, and sweet, not too tart strawberry slices. First time trying Cream Pan, and I can see why they are so popular. They have lots of selection, I got their Country bread, walnut and sesame bread. They country bread is like sourdough, great texture with hint of sourness. The walnut is a smaller loaf, the walnut pieces add a great crunch and texture to the bread. These two breads are chewy, fluffy, and soft. The sesame bread is a great bread slice choices, fluffy and soft. The fermentation is absolutely great for their bread. All staffs are pretty friendly and welcoming. There's no seating area, it's grab and go. The store is cozy and nicely organized. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and they were still busy. Their signature dessert is their strawberry croissant, which is flaky, filled with delicious custard, and topped with fresh strawberry slices. It's a must have dessert. The thing is that everything else they have here is pretty amazing as well. You can get sweets like "melon pan"; however, their savory breads and sandwiches are also really great.
