However, I do appreciate that the cookies are always soft and warm, and they give a generous amount of ice cream. It's an absolute steal for $2 (even though it used to be $1.75, and $1.50 before that...) I try to stick to my regulars, Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream and Butter Sugar cookie, but I've also had their Coffee Blast ice cream and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie and they don't disappoint, either. If it were up to my personal preferences, I'd give this place 3 stars because like I said, cookies are whatever to me, but I really respect the establishment and how well it's performed in the college market. I am so glad I watched the We Eating episode where they featured CREAM because this place is freakin' amazing! The ice cream is so creamy and not overly sweet. You can taste that the ice cream is all natural. The cookies are served warm and are perfectly chewy with just a nice amount of crunchiness around the edges. Combine the two and omigod! This is like no other ice cream sandwich you've had before. The warmth of the cookie and the coldness of the ice cream are a nice mix - and the cookies are not too warm so you're not left with melted ice cream mess. Plus the ice cream sammie is so good, you'd probably eat it way too fast to even let it melt anyway. What I really like is that you're able to choose 2 different cookie flavors if you wanted to. Plenty of cookie options and ice cream flavors--my favorite is the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie with matcha (green tea) ice cream. (I salivate at the thought of it!) They even offer to heat the cookie up for you so that it's not hard when you bite into it, which is awesome. The ice cream is also amazingly creamy, so I suppose the place lives up to its name in more than one way. There's very limited indoor seating. Most people just order and leave and stand or walk while they eat their ice cream sandwich. It can get crowded inside because people tend to crowd around the counter, drooling over the choices. So if you come here, don't plan on sitting inside. Took advantage of their "FREE cookie with $5 purchase" option when I checked-in thru Yelp and gave the free cookie to my friend since the cookies I had in my ice cream sandwich were already huge. I highly recommend this to cookie lovers, ice cream lovers, and dessert lovers in general. You can't go wrong with putting cookies and ice cream together... You just can't. Don't get me wrong, the ice cream sandwiches are good. However, the customer service isn't great. Every time I try to make bulk orders over the phone, the person who answers either doesn't know what they're doing and asks me to call back (which is very inconvenient), or they give me different reasons why I can't make bulk orders every single time (i.e. even though you did it before, you now have X amount of sandwiches to make a preorder, or because of you are preordering, it costs more to make each sandwich). It melts really fast so you have to make sure to eat it right away. It was super hard for me to take pictures of it because it keeps slipping. I wish the ice cream was a little bit more frozen. TIPS: Very sweet... So I try to mix up the combination of the cookies (the two don't have to be the same) and the ice cream so that it's not too sweet. To get an even distribution of cookie and ice cream in my mouth, I take turns eating from the top cookie and the bottom cookie--rather than taking a bite of everything at once. It helps me eat it cleaner, too, because the ice cream won't get pushed to one side and end up dripping everywhere when it melts over time.
