I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Small setup offering ice cream scoops, floats, affogato, and more. I appreciate how they do free samples and the cups come with a waffle triangle. I tried their pink guava and equator coffee flavors. The pink guava reminded me of those Asian guava candies but felt like it was missing something still.. not sure what but overall decent ice cream stop on a hot day!

creme brûlée and dark chocolate ice cream with complementary waffle cone pieces

Passed by while taking a walk down Fourth Street and decided to get some ice cream. I got a scoop of crème brûlée and my boyfriend got a scoop of dark chocolate. The ice cream is so rich and delicious. The crème brûlée ice cream actually tastes like crème brûlée. You'd be surprised how that's not the case at some places (looking at you, boba spots... puff cream is not crème brûlée). The triangle piece of waffle cone that's complementary with every cup complemented the flavors of the ice cream perfectly.

Was looking for a sweet treat in Berkeley and this place was nearby so here I am. I ordered two scoops. I had 1 scoop of cookies and cream and 1 scoop of coffee and cream in a cup. I wanted it in a waffle cone but sadly the ran out of it when I arrived :(. Anyways... the ice cream was really creamy and the scoops were pretty generous. That being said, I'd definitely would slide thru again. Try it out if you like. :)

Came across this ice cream shop as we were walking around in the area. We got two orders each with two scoops. One in the waffle cone with passion fruit and vanilla bean and the other one in a cup with coffee and cream brûlée flavor. All the flavors were so yummy and the texture was so creamy. There are some seatings in the outside to grab. I highly recommend this place.

We popped in here on a total whim, like *five minutes* before closing--sorry, dude! I'm pretty sure the guy was counting down the seconds to go home, but he was super chill and patient even after the doors should've been locked. Plus, their cakes look *next-level* amazing! The ice cream? So good! The flavors are super unique and rich. And the scoops? Massive. I couldn't even finish mine, which is a rare feat. But I love that you can mix two flavors in one scoop because, honestly, I couldn't pick just one. I'll definitely be back for my sweet tooth fix. This place knows how to do ice cream right!

I have not been to this location ever since it used to be Noble Cow Creamery. Fortunately, iScream is so much better! They don't offer a great number of flavor options, however the flavors they do serve are very intriguing! They had a banana oreo flavor that seemed very interesting and I'll definitely try it next time if available. The consistency of the ice cream was very similar to gelato which I appreciate so much. Two scoops of ice cream was the perfect amount for me without feeling overwhelmed (with two scoops, you are able to choose two flavors). Service was great and to the point, and the inside of the store appeared to be very clean and tidy. I'll be back at this spot for dessert anytime I dine in around the area.

While the service was friendly and helpful during my visit, in my opinion the mint chip ice cream flavor was a problem. To start with, it wasn't fully frozen and had a sporadic icicle crunch - odd for freshly scooped ice cream. My scoop also had a sharp chemical taste to it that made me think the flavor was achieved by adding in spearmint extract and not by soaking the milk in mint leaves. Once eaten with the accompanying waffle cone the chemical taste of the ice cream became overpowering. If too much extract were added in (which is what I think happened here), the higher content of the alcohol in the extract would lower the freezing point of the dessert, resulting in a more liquid batch accompanied by an icicle rich texture. iScream is a small business that carries only a few flavors so I'm surprised it wasn't caught when they had trouble keeping the batch frozen and it wasn't discovered during taste testing and pulled. Either way, I just don't think the iScream brand is for me and I'll probably be sticking with my local Handels and Gio Gelati.

Best ice cream place in Berkeley!! The ice cream is delicious! You can tell it's always made fresh! The staff is always friendly too.

    Mint and blueberry ice cream
    Stephanie Y.

The ice cream is organic, rich and oh so creamy. A small scoop suffices. I went with the mint chip and the mint was so pronounced and refreshing. Enjoyed it. At least the day I went flavors were on the plain side: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, blueberry, cookies & cream and mint chip. Put some chocolate chunks in that strawberry, or real pops of blueberries in the blueberry; give me something a little sexy. I also love me a cone, but they only offer a rather large waffle one, which is a meal in itself. I would have loved a small sugar or wafer cone to keep it a bit more manageable. Overall, incredible decadent ice cream offering up fresh and simple flavors. Outside had a few tables and chairs and being on 4th street is oh so lovely.

Lavender, green tea, chocolate chip/cookies and cream

Ice cream was a good sweet treat to have after dinner. The lavender paired very well with the green tea and both had great flavors! The ice cream spot is very cute and cozy and they provide cups of water if needed. Servers are very sweet and helpful with describing some flavors me and my friends were unfamiliar with.

I'm known to fight dirty and conspire with others during this game and everybody hates me because of it, and I didn't want to be banned from their apartment, as Paris in the fall is lovely. Thus my journey with Walter began. One thing about me, is I respect a place that knows flavors. I don't want basic vanilla, give me some weird and strange and flavorful that will tantalize my palette and ignite my senses. Give me salty and sweet. Give me TANG. Give me these things and DONT give me gas. Bad Walters cracked the code. All flavor, real dairy, no lactose, no gas. Each week they have a different batch of flavors, so there's always something new to explore. There's like 6 flavors to choose from at once and they let me try them all before I selected my choice hehe. I tried to sample 6 flavors at Cold Stone and they took me out back and shot me, but here, nobody was mean to me. Mr. Potatohead is the flavor I landed on--brown sugar custard with peanut butter swirl and chocolate covered potato chips. The employees are very helpful and kind letting you sample the flavors. Our absolute favorite is tinky winky- ube flavored ice cream with honey comb pieces. They also sell points to the side- take advantage. You'll want more when you're done! The ambiance and vibe of bad Walter's is perfect. Bright colors, disco ball dripping, fun sayings on the cups, the whole 9 yards. The take home pint we got has Reddit "hate" comments and their responses, it's hilarious. Oh and they also do a stamp card when you buy pints to get a free scoop. You bring in the containers so they can recycle them. It's a win win for both sides, loves it. Best ice cream ever!!!

But, my boss orders us food from Fenton's via Doordash to be delivered to our Oakland office from time to time. Last several times in a row, it's been pretty dang bad, (the potato chips always taste fishy!) but today (8/5/26) it was literally garbage. We had 2 egg salad sandwiches and a jalapeno burger, plus two milkshakes. The egg salad sandwiches had to be straight up tossed out. Just not edible. The egg salad was sooo watery, it was like a soup. Just dripping and running down out of the bread. Also, a HEAVY mustard taste, overpowering everything else. The burger had a piece of something (literally) translucent on it, apparently their idea of a slice of cheese? And the accompanying fries were COLD. The toasted almond milkshake was so runny it was like a flavored water. Not at all a creamy consistency, I don't even think they made it with milk, it seemed to be just a tiny bit of ice cream, some water and a lot of ice cubes (still visible in the shake). Just nasty. The other milkshake seemed ok. Of course, with the order being from DoorDash, it's near-impossible to get any real support, so it's just basically a total loss. I don't know if Fenton's just doesn't GAF, since they're always busy anyways, OR if they need to pay their employees more in order to attract the sort of person who's capable of being trained to care to do things correctly, but it's just really a bummer that such a neat, fun, old legacy business is allowing itself to disappoint customers and turn into a big mess like this.
