It's nice to be able to sample the different flavors because it was our first time here. I tried multiple flavors but my favorite was the July series Campfire S'mores and Cereal Milk! They really tasted like s'mores and a bowl of cereal. Will definitely be back to try other series! I usually order vanilla at every ice cream parlor but I didn't see vanilla anywhere on the menu or any signs on the fridge . I asked and the vanilla is in the nearby fridge !
Delicious! Every time I discover a new place, I always say to myself "why can't we have this in Davis?" Hubby and I shared the flight and got black sesame cookies 'n cream, ube malted crunch, hojicha biscoff, mango sticky rice. It was all so yummy. I also sampled yakult grape gummy sorbet, kaya pandan & butter crumble, blue jasmine & passion fruit swirl, Thai tea & brown sugar mochi, and miso peanut butter brownies. All the flavors are excellent and would definitely go back because they do a series of flavors for the month. The only slight drawback I'd give is I wish the flavors were slightly punchier. In other words, I want the flavors to hit me as soon as I take a bite... but that's just me. My favorite of the bunch is the mango sticky rice. It was definitely nostalgia for me and reminds me of eating mango ice cream as a kid. What sets them apart is their incredibly unique Asian-inspired flavors like Ube Malted Crunch, Thai Tea, Miso Peanut Butter Brownie, Korean Corn Latte, Black Sesame Cookies n' Cream, and Mango Sticky Rice. Every time I visit, I'm torn between trying something new or ordering my favorites again. Each flavor is creative, distinct, and actually tastes like the ingredient it's inspired by. My favorite is the Blue Jasmine & Passion Fruit Swirl. The tea flavor is strong and fragrant, which I love. My favorite combos are Thai Tea + Ube Malted Crunch for a richer, creamier bite, or Blue Jasmine Passion Fruit Swirl + Mango Sticky Rice if you're in the mood for something fruitier and refreshing. Another bonus: sprinkles are free! My only complaint is that you're limited to just three samples. Then again, that's probably why I keep coming back to try all the flavors.
Truly one of my favorite ice cream shops in the east bay. I love how unique their flavors are and their rotating menu. They offer standard ice cream, hot chocolate, as well as ice cream with flavored slush. The location is conveniently across a Trader Joe's as well.
This little shop packs a variety of Asian-inspired ice cream flavors to blow your mind! The flavors they have are absolutely intriguing. I wish I could have tried them all. I ended up only getting the yuzu honey sorbet, but will definitely be coming back to try other flavors. The price is affordable and reasonable. They also have fruit freezes. There are a couple of chairs outside you can sit on to enjoy your treat. Parking is as expected around Berkeley - street parking.
Was in the area and had to try this ice cream place since I love Asian flavors and ice cream. The ice cream itself was pretty delicious, and you get to try 3 flavors per person. The texture of the ice cream was really good overall, but out of all the samples, my favorites were the Mango Sticky Rice and Yuzu Honey Sorbet which were both vegan flavors. Mango Sticky Rice: This combined coconut ice cream with mango sorbet. The coconut portion was super creamy, while the mango side had more of an icy sorbet texture, but together the combo worked really well. Yuzu Honey Sorbet: This one had more of a pure sorbet/icy texture and melted a little quickly, but it was super refreshing and light. I'd definitely come back to try more flavors or check out their rotating specials if I'm in the area again. Parking is just neighborhood street parking, but it was pretty easy to find. You'll probably have to walk a block or two depending on where you park. June Special Flavors: Chocomallow Almond Honey Lavender Passionfruit Crystal Boba Banoffee
A small shop but packed full of flavor and service! Very deserving of the high ratings. There are so many interesting flavors and you can sample up to 3 - which I think is very reasonable. They will also add complimentary chocolate or rainbow sprinkles if you desire! I got to sample my three and picked the Hojicha Biscoff (strong Hojicha with bits of Biscoff) and Hong Kong Memories (HK style milk tea with Biscoff). Both so very good and the split single were generous servings that felt like two scoops. Will be back soon to try all the other flavors that look so interesting!!
Small spot. Line to wait. 3 samples only. So many to choose from- lots to wanna try, so you gotta be selective. I sampled the Dragonfruit lychee, the Yakult Grape Gummy and the Jasmine Passionfruit swirl. I ended up with the Korean Corn Latte and Yakult Grape Gummy. Alone, great! Together? Not so much. I wanted to feed both flavor profiles- fruity and creamy. The line isn't long and it gives you time to decide what you want. They have so many unique flavor combos, it was hard to choose! Cute spot!
I stopped by this place on a whim after seeing their creative flavors on a sign board outside. They have super cool Asian inspired flavors like coffee and corn, Thai tea Boba, etc and I was super excited to try it. They do allow samples, which is really nice, but the smallest size is a single scoop and you can only get one flavor, so I tried the coffee corn. The flavor was good and I could definitely taste the coffee and the corn, but the texture of the ice cream was definitely not the best. It had a slightly sandy texture and you could tell there was a ton of air churned into it so you don't get a super smooth mouthfeel.
Support this small business! They offer unique flavors that are really good, with big portion sizes to help justify the price. Oreo malt was the best and I will go back just for that one. The shop is super small with a few chairs outside, and it's nice to walk down the sidewalk to Ohlone Park and eat as you go.
I like the variety of Asian-inspired flavors here. There are lots of unique flavors. I got a split scoop of the earl grey stracciatella and the hojicha biscoff. Both flavors were really good and had strong tea flavors. I like that you can do a split scoop to try more flavors, too. I definitely want to come back to try more flavors.
My daughter and I are a huge fan of Melt Me's unique and delicious flavors of ice cream! We are ice cream lovers and have tried everywhere from Jeni's, Salt & Straw, 21 Choices, but this is our favorite. My daughter goes to Melt Me monthly with friends to try the new flavors of the month. Thank you Nick and Nem for sharing your ice cream and story with us!
I LOVE this place!!! It's right next to Trader Joe's on MLK, and I cannot help but to stop and get a scoop every time I'm grocery shopping. They have set flavors (which are delicious), but I love trying their monthly specials! All their flavors are so creative and have an Asian twist to them. They always hit the spot, no matter what you're craving. The owners are so sweet too! I have such a good time every time I go. It's definitely my to-go ice cream spot in Berkeley!

I honestly don't even know how to describe how good this ice cream was. It was just TOOOOOO GOOD! I've been living here for two years and haven't been able to go back to Thailand because of my health. Flying is difficult for me, so when I found out this place had Thai-inspired ice cream flavors, of course I had to try it. The owners were so nice and friendly. You can sample up to three flavors, which I think is very reasonable. Please be considerate, though--don't ask to try every flavor and then buy only one scoop. I sampled two flavors before deciding. I ordered a double scoop with Mango Sticky Rice and Blue Jasmine & Passion Fruit Swirl. My husband got Ube Crunchy Malt and a Yakult flavor. I forgot the full name of the Yakult one, but I think it was seasonal. The Mango Sticky Rice was so good that I had to buy a pint home. Since moving here, this is honestly one of the best homemade ice cream shops I've tried. A solid 10/10 for me! Maybe it's because I have Thai taste buds, but I don't like ice cream that is overly sweet. I'm not judging American-style ice cream--it's just usually way too sweet for me. The flavors here were perfectly balanced, and I could actually taste everything without the sweetness overpowering it. This review is longer than usual because I really loved this place. I finally found my new regular ice cream shop, and I'll definitely be coming back again and again. The shop itself is small and doesn't have a lot of seating, but it's cute and cozy. Saw these cute hot chocolates all over tiktok and I had to try them!!! Parking is a bit difficult; we parked about a block or so away. When we got to the creamery, there was already a crowd of people waiting outside; some enjoying their hot chocolates and ice cream, and some waiting in line to order. Expect a 30min wait for hot chocolates, due to high demand! The store is also very tiny. Limited seating inside and outside. I grabbed a Hojicha Biscoff cone while we waited for our hot chocolates. They have such unique ice cream flavors and a majority are Asian inspired, like mango sticky rice and Strawberry Matcha. The Hojicha Biscoff tasted very "toasty" and not too sweet! The hot chocolates were yummy and I love the taste of the toasted marshmallow rim and whipped cream topping!!! Their other hot chocolate flavors, matcha white chocolate and Hojicha white chocolate, also sounded really good! Sadly, they were all sold out that day. Friendly staff; please be patient and kind, as they are getting a lot of attention thru tiktok and wait times are longer than usual. Will def come back to try their other ice flavors! read more
What a wonderful creamy experience! I love the inspiration it takes to start up a creamery with Asian, tropical flavors and do some unique stuff, like offer fruit freezes. The quality of the cream is high, and the only thing you might concern yourself with is the paucity of flavor options. However, that's what makes it better! Every year during the week of Thanksgiving, we embark on a tradition: searching the East Bay for its best ice cream. After five years and more than half a dozen shops, we finally found a new favorite, Melt Me Creamery. We loved it so much that we visited three times in one week and even brought three pints to Thanksgiving dinner. Each visit came with warm smiles, generous samples, and genuinely welcoming service. This small, family-owned shop opened in July 2025, and the two owners couldn't be kinder. They shared a bit about the shop's story with us, adding a personal touch that made the experience even better. The space is bright, clean, and inviting, with soft music in the background. There's outdoor seating as well, though we enjoyed staying inside. We tried quite a few flavors, but several truly stood out: · Pinkberry - Bold, rich strawberry flavor, perfectly creamy, not too sweet, made with a secret recipe that keeps the fruit flavor intense but not icy. · Matcha Strawberry - A lovely balance of the earthiness of matcha paired with a ribbon of strawberry jam, neither overpowering the other. · Jasmine Passionfruit - Lightly floral jasmine tea ice cream brightened by a swirl of tangy passionfruit. Melt Me also rotates four seasonal flavors every month. These were the flavors for November: · Hazelnut Coffee Toffee - A powerful coffee base with crispy hazelnut and toffee specks. · Avocado Coconut - Light, less sweet, and beautifully textured with toasted coconut flakes. · Yuzu Honey Sorbet - Bright, refreshing · Oolong Tea Pineapple - Unique take on the Taiwanese delicacy (Pineapple cake) If you're in the area, we highly recommend giving Melt Me Creamery a try. Saw this went viral on tiktok for its S'mores Hot Chocolate and decided to check it out. The line is definitely worth it! It took me about 20min to get through the line and get my order. It's a small ice cream shop with very limited stools inside and outside. While we waited for the main event we tried a scoop of their Campfire S'mores ice cream and Pinkberry ice cream which were both very good! The Pinkberry was very refreshing. The Campfire S'mores wasn't too sweet but it was rich. They had many unique flavors like mango sticky rice, Thai tea and brown sugar mochi, ube malted crunch that I need to return to try. The S'mores Hot Chocolate was such a warm treat for a cold day. The hot chocolate was rich and hot but the toasted marshmallow foam and fluffy thick whipped cream balanced out the rich chocolate. It was the perfect combination! They had other versions of it too. read more

The reviews don't lie; the hype is well deserved. When we arrived, the place immediately had a laid-back, cheerful energy...lively enough to feel fun, but not crowded at all. What I ordered: Flight of Ice Cream = 4 scoops ($8.25 including tip) WHAT A STEAL for artisanal flavored ice cream. Flavors picked (I loved all of it): Jasmine Passionfruit Ube Crunch Strawberry Matcha Mango Sticky Rice Tip: Sprinkles are free! ICE CREAM: 10/10 The ice cream was phenomenal. Each flavor tasted exactly how it was described. The ice cream is rich but not heavy, and with flavors that feel inventive and thoughtful. I could tell they put a lot of care into balancing flavor and texture by not being overly sweet, creamy, but light. It genuinely felt like one of the best artisanal ice creams I've had in a long time. SERVICE: 10/10 The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and didn't make me feel rushed. Ordering was smooth, efficient, and pleasant from start to finish. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Melt Me has a fun, cheerful vibe, bright and colorful inside with pink and white decor, and enough seating for a relaxed hangout (though it's not a big lounge area). It felt comfy and casual. The only reason it's not a perfect 10/10 is that the space is a bit cozy, but that actually works in its favor if you enjoy low-key, friendly ice-cream-shop energy. There's also outdoor seating, which is a nice bonus. I really appreciated how simple and easy-to-read the menu was. I also loved that there wasn't an overwhelming number of flavors, just a thoughtful selection. The options were unique, yet they still offered classic choices like Vanilla. Overall, I came craving something indulgent and a little different, and Melt Me delivered. If you enjoy inventive flavors, care about quality, and want a chill spot to enjoy a scoop (or two), this place is worth checking out. I'll definitely be back. We loved our visit to melt me creamery. I had seen them, but it was their winter menu and I really wanted to try the hot chocolate, but that wasn't available. Although the gal told me starting in November they have their winter menu nevertheless we ended up having the Thai tea, Ube, hazelnut toffee, and strawberry Matcha. Their ice cream creams are so creamy and delicious. The people that work there are so nice! It had a very hip ambience. We were lucky. We went in an off time so there wasn't a line. This cute little creamery had a great selection of unique flavors you won't find at another ice cream place. You can sample up to 3 flavors. I had miso peanut butter brownie and black sesame cookies and cream in a cup. There are 3 small tables inside for seating as well as outside seating. We decided to stop by for dessert after dinner and came across Melt Me Creamery. We went with the fruit freeze and chose strawberry and mango ice with mango sticky rice ice cream. They really packed the cup, and I thought it was very well priced. The interior is cute but a bit small, and there is not much seating inside. The staff were very friendly, and overall I had a great experience. Everything tasted great, and I would definitely recommend this place! read more
Super cute ice cream shop near the Berkeley Trader Joe's. They have a lot of Asian ice cream flavors like Mango Sticky Rice, Ube, and Black Sesame. They also have seasonal flavors. You can sample a few before deciding, or you can get a "flight" of four scoops for good value. Their Yuzu Honey Sorbet is sooo good. It's light and refreshing and perfect for warmer weather. I'm a big fan of Garden Creamery in SF so Melt Me's Asian and tropical flavors are right up my alley. Bring a friend so you can try out a bunch of different flavors (they were all excellent and we had a really hard time choosing which one to get). The staff were friendly and had good recommendations- I also appreciated the different size options including the kids size as I can't eat a whole lot of sweet stuff in 1 sitting. Our favorites ended up being the ube crunch and the mango sticky rice. We will definitely be coming back for more when we're in the area! read more
I was amazed with the mango sticky rice. I thought either the mango or the sticky rice would overpower the other but it was perfectly balanced. The Bangkok summer had jackfruit, coconut, other things. Pinkberry tasted like a really sweet fresh strawberry. I was impressed. The pumpkin walnut tasted like a pumpkin coffee, which I was not expecting. It threw me off and I'm not sure if I liked it. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. read more
I used to be a die-hard Salt & Straw fan, but lately their ice cream has started to feel a bit heavy for me. If you prefer something that isn't overly sweet or overwhelmingly rich, you need to try Melt Me. Their unique Asian-inspired flavors are so exciting and the ice cream itself has this airy, light texture that makes you want to savor every bite. Wow, the flavors here are so unique. I tried the Bangkok summer and I literally said out loud that it tasted like a Bangkok summer with all the fruits in the scoop. I also tried the pandan pistachio tres leche which was ok. The cheddar cheese walnut praline is probably my favorite taste. It is so unique and absolutely love the creaminess and savoriness of the ice cream. Samples happily given and limited to 3 flavors. Cones are not homemade. Casual. I walked over from the Trader Joe's. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

My new favorite ice cream spot-- I would go here everyday if I lived next door. Everything is in-house made! All flavors seem so unique. I'd get a scoop of everything if I could. Luckily they do have an ice cream flight option if you can't decide, which will most likely happen because they're all so delicious!! Can't wait to go back. First time here! Blown away by the unique flavors. I tried samples of the Blue Jasmine Passion Fruit Swirl (pretty good but not for me because I'm not a fan of passion fruit and it was the dominant flavor) and the Mango Sticky Rice (SO good!). I got a split single scoop of Mango Sticky Rice and Ube Malted Crunch for $6.25. Portions are pretty small with this price, but their flavors truly are unique and high-quality, so I can't be toooo upset about it. It's a pretty small store, but they have some outdoor seating and standing tables inside. I wish they had some chairs inside - standing felt a little awkward lol. Melt Me Creamery opened recently in Ono Bakehouse's space. Same infrastructure. No inside seating. Bakes display area converted to ice cream display cases. Limited stool seating outside. New Signage on central wall. Sign outside near window shows special flavors of the month, fruit freezes & classics. Standing board in front displays popular flavors. Offerings (ice cream): Asian-inspired flavors, fruit freezes, classics. Was greeted friendly, courteously, quickly. Offered samples. I tried 2 I've never seen before, like them. Ordered it. Turns out they're specials of the month. Licks: 2 scoops (7.95) in a cup. Comes have issues when dripping starts.:) Black Sesame Cookies & Cream -has velvety creamy, crunchiness from crushed cookies so it's a child's favorite. -subtle sugarness so it's appeals to adults. Black sesame seeds imported from Japan. Specks can be seen in the ice cream. Sadly, subtle black sesame taste subdued by slight sweetness. Dalgona Coffee Chip -has the rich creaminess & carmelized sweetness of Dalgona candy along with semi-boldness of coffee. -some crunchiness from pieces of Dalgona candy present. 4.5 stars Worthy: YMMV. Quality: very good-premium ingredients tasted. Quantity: Reasonble-solid scoops, no airiness *doesn't compare with Ben & Jerry's. Both are fun & deliz to lick. After a really warm day, I was craving some ice cream. I found this place and thought the flavors looked interesting. I ended up ordering the Bangkok Summer Scoop which was coconut with jackfruit chunks and the Pinkberry which was a creamy strawberry flavor made with real strawberries! The ice cream texture was really smooth, soft, and creamy which is so refreshing. I'd highly recommend if you're ever in the area. I also appreciate being able to split a single scoop with two flavors-- especially when there's so many novelty flavors and only so much you can eat at once. read more

Came for the viral hit chocolate and stayed for delicious ice-cream flavors. Melt Me is the kind of spot that reminds you why Berkeley's dessert scene is so fun. Prices are refreshingly reasonable for the quality, especially if you go for a multi-scoop flight and sample some of their creative flavors. The space is small but colorful and lively, perfect for a quick post-dinner treat or sunny afternoon stop. Service was genuinely warm, with staff happy to offer samples and walk us through the menu. Opened last Friday (7/11/25), Melt Me is the ice cream shop Berkeley needed, move over iscream. After the closure of an amazing ice cream shop (you know who you are), Berkeley was in short supply of ice cream shops with a focus on Asian flavors. I am ecstatic and simultaneously worried for my sugar levels that it's a short distance from where I live. Today, I decided to make a spontaneous trip down MLK to this cute little shop a stone's throw away from Trader Joe's. First off, ovaltine! YAS. But bc I wasn't in a chocolatey mood, I opted for mango sticky rice+ blue jasmine and passion fruit. They went really well together! The mango sticky rice was bursting with mango and the passion fruit although normally very tart was subdued by the jasmine. Both very tasty! I got to try the Bangkok summer scoop. Kind of wish it had more jack fruit bc the coconut ice cream was def the stronger flavor. Other than that I can't wait to come back to see what other flavors they scoop up! read more
