Plenty of parking including several handicap spaces. Speaking solely for the (all day) breakfast, food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Over easy eggs were wonderfully runny, toast had the perfect amount of butter, the bacon done exactly right, slightly crispy but soft enough to be comfortingly chewy. And a generous amount too. Turkey sausage links were as anticipated, mild in flavor, and the silver dollar pancakes were actually pretty large and quite tasty. Coffee was okay, served in a large mug. If you want milk or cream (which is probably the fake stuff) in your coffee speak up when you order, as we were not asked. Service started out somewhat shaky but improved as time went on. You pay your tab at a register on the way out, and they have envelopes for each server if you want to leave a cash tip. They have a shelf of local jams, jellies, and honey for sale. The dessert list on the chalkboard indicated some delightful sounding pies, but I'm saving my calories at present so had to pass. I see they have two other locations, so hope to try one of the others as well next time we're between Urbana and Eaton.

The chicken was seasoned well and went nicely with the chicken gravy and mashed potatoes. Wish I had remembered to take a picture! The dinner rolls were nothing special and I don't care for margarine spread. The side of fried red potatoes were served with sour cream, very tasty. I would recommend and go back for the chicken again and probably not share.

The two bartenders thanked us for coming in and one of the employees who was arriving at work waited on us to cross the parking lot to hold the door for us and was very friendly. I never got rude vibes as others are suggesting and the service was at a good pace and done well. We have 4 prime rib dinners and they were all tempered right and everything we asked for we got. The onion rings were great the prime rib was awesome the patty melt was very good and we are already planning another trip to try more of the menu.

SEVEN WORDS: GREAT HOMETWON TASTE / COMFORT FOOD / GOOD PORTIONS…read more . Meadows Restaurant is a Destination Trip, so if you're not inspired, you may miss out - on a VERY Good Meal. Located Right on Route 40, its truly inconvenient if you're coming from the Wrong Direction. However, its really worth it to drive past it, make a U-Turn on a Busy Highway, and then turn into the uphill drive to the private parking lot. . Meadows is VERY CONVENIENT to the Nearby Antique Mall, though, so this is a GREAT DAY TRIP for anyone making the Journey. All that being said, let's talk Food! . I was feeling a little heavy from breakfast, so I opted for the Grilled Chicken Salad. My wife, ever the Pork lover, ordered the Pork Chops with 2 Sides. Our food arrived quickly - around 10 minutes - and we were pleasantly surprised with two large dishes. . My Dish, a Grilled Chicken Salad, came in a Large Chilled Salad Bowl. To be honest, not a lot of Restaurants understand the importance and sheer luxury of chilled China ware when it comes to cool dishes like salad. . The Lettuce was chopped Iceberg. Every bite was fresh and there were no clumps of lettuce that hadn't been fully separat3d before prep. The tomatoes, were hearty Roma, and the cheese was a grated Mozzarella.Four marinated and crisp grilled to near perfection. Juicy and Crisp, these Chicken Spears were a perfect. So yummy and just barely sweetened by the vinegarette marinade. I only ate half. However, gobbled up the rest as we got home. 2 meals for me. . My Wife's Grilled zporknCops came with two sides. She chose Apple Sauce and Green Beans. The Pork Chops were also well-cooked: Crispy outside, tender within. She cleaned her plate and did the same with her beans and apple sauce. Mund you, she hadn't eaten all day, so even if she eats like a 5-foot-tall farm girl, there was enough to fill most anyone. On top of that, she left appy, so there's that. . Why a 4? Location, location, Location. If you're nearby: YOU GOTTA GO. If you're not, i can't see it being a Destination you'd seek out over a place 10 miles closer to home. Sorry to the Owners, its just a small bit of bad luck.

I thought the food was very good, service excellent, bar staff attentive, management welcoming. My wife and I visited there for the first time last night in support of a friend, who was performing music there with his band. We arrived two hours early so that I could scope out a good location to shoot video of his set. My wife came over directly from work, so we decided to dine there, even though there was a big pot of my fabulous green chile pork stew sitting in the pressure cooker at home. My wife ordered a burger -- I forget which one, but it was pretty hefty and came equipped with a beer cheese that she absolutely raved about. I ordered a Cuban pork sandwich. The last time I had a good one was in Miami 8 years ago, and I believe most would agree that that's a long time to go without Cuban pork. The sandwich was excellent! I needed a doggy bag, though... because of... *those fries*. And I ain't big on carbs. Fries are generally an annoyance to me that usually go cold and remain on the plate when the waiter brings the check. But these were damned good fries. Beer-battered (somehow), and I will not rest until obtain their recipe. They're really that good! Couldn't stop eating them. And, oh yes -- their buffalo wings are also mighty fine appetizers. Mind you, my wife and I are food snobs who believe that our mastery of recipes are superior to most local restaurant fare, although that's not hard to do in Springfield, a town where Frisch's Big Boy and Golden Corral are considered a good night out by some (and too many). I think Raul(?) was our server. He didn't hover to such a degree that we wanted him to just go away, but he was there when we needed him. Hats off to the server. Every time I visited the bar, I was waited on within scant minutes. Hats off to the bartender that night. The manager came by to introduce himself to us. His wife sat down with my wife and conversed with her for almost a half-hour during a break in my friend's set. They genuinely seem to care about each individual customer experience. Two thumbs up, Buckeye! I don't care what the others say!
