    Not good

This was the worst dining experience I've ever had and the food was mediocre when it came. We waited for 30 minutes to order drinks then another hour for our food. We watched multiple parties walk in, get served, eat, and pay before we even got our food. Stay away!

My sister and I stopped here since we were starving and nearly everywhere had a 1 hr wait. It's a cute little spot that has a specific charm to it. You can definitely tell it's been there for a while. The staff were nice and we got served pretty quickly. The food is nothing phenomenal honestly. We got two burgers and split them ( the Toni and pfieffer). The jalapeño was definitely the favorite from both of us. We also tried their fried mushrooms. They were good, just a lot of breading. The burgers were good but not the best burger I've ever had by any means. It was overall a good experience but nothing to write home about and likely wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

We were lucky enough to finally try this on our last visit. There is a nice bar when you first enter and lots of beers to choose from. The menu was large and the orders came out quickly. The sandwiches had good flavor and the potatoes were delicious, especially the German potato salad.

My girlfriend & I ate here on September 19th. We ordered an appetizer of the Sauerkraut Balls. I ordered the Fish and Chips platter. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp Basket. The atmosphere is very unique in this establishment. This is supposed to be the oldest operating tavern in Ohio. Inside, it is darkly lit with a lot of dark wood furnishings. When we went, there weren't very many people but it does have a nice vintage vibe. The Sauerkraut Balls appetizers came in a basket of four with spicy mustard. They were fried very good and were tasty. The Shrimp Basket and Fish and Chips basket both come with sidewinder fries which kind of look like a cork screw. I enjoyed my fried fish and my girlfriend enjoyed her shrimp. Both were fried to a delicious golden crisp and were very tasty. The sidewinder fries were good as well. Food was served promptly and was fresh. I recommend. Yellow Springs has a very colorful environment with a hippie vibe. This a great spot to visit if you are visiting and looking for a unique place to eat.

The Ye Old Trail Tavern (Ohio's oldest tavern) was today's lunch location. Sitting on their patio felt like snagging a VIP seat to the best people-watching spot in town, all while basking in the comfiest warm air. The fish and chips were perfect! The fish? Crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth inside. And those chips? Couldn't stop munching on them. They were a little light with the small sample of cole slaw...could have provided more Then came my wife's BLT - thick, crispy bacon with the freshest tomato and lettuce, all hugged by perfectly toasted bread. Service was chill and on point, making the whole vibe just right. Whether you're here for the fish and chips, that BLT, or just to chill and soak in the scene, the Tavern is a good choice. Only knock is they have just one fryer so if a lot of people order fish, it will slow your order down. Can't wait to hit up this spot again! #GoBills

Dad meet, Richelle says best beer batter fish sandwich around Springfield.

The weather finally cooled down for a short while so we could eat on a patio. If your near the water fountain you might get a small splash every minute or two. We decided to get sauerkraut ball fantastic, Richelle doesn't like mustard so I get all the good stone ground mustard. We decided to get sandwiches: Richelle got the Das Meer, beer battered cod, of course. I got the bourbon burger, of course. Richelle says the fish sandwich is outstanding, best in Springfield area. I say the bourbon burger is quite good too, I might ask for medium rare next time. We both love the side winder fry's. Staff is friendly, and we always had full cups.

Not greasy, extremely tasty. The alcoholic beverages were on point too! Will definitely come back.

Ye Olde Trail Tavern is in the middle of quaint Yellow Springs & has a unique & historic vibe. We were able to enjoy lunch out in the patio which was shady & provided a pleasant lunch. Many German food choices. I got chicken sandwich & German hot potato salad which was acceptable-nothing noteworthy & it was served with a delicious spicy mustard, My friend enjoyed the Grilled cheese. Service was quick & perfect t for those who might be on a tight schedule.

The tavern is our favorite burger spot! If the weather is good, you can find us on the patio people watching while we nibble. They have plenty of vegan / vegetarian / gluten free options which is wonderful. The service is always great (we've been here too many times to count.) Definitely pop in for some snacks and a drink.

Quaint little restaurant in Yellowsprings is a must try if you're visiting the area! Very rich with history. The food was delicious. I got the spicy sausage and it was delicious. Service was quick. Drinks were cold. Any time I visit Yellowsprings, I will be back!

Superb food. For a smaller restaurant, they handled a large group quickly and efficiently. The service was friendly and we would go back.

Food was bad. Service was worse. If you are slow be apologetic don't be rude. Basic manners. We have choices on where to eat, be kind.

Interesting building, food was fine. As others posted, the seating is uncomfortable. Brat and fried fish were ok. Fries were delicious.

I'm 67 years old I have never ate a fried balogna sandwich in a restaurant before. I felt That it was a complete waste of money. After today I still hold that opinion. My guess is that the cook was born in the late 80's and didn't know how to properly prepare a fried bologna sandwich in a manor in which I am accustomed. It was ok I suppose. I was just underwhelmed by it. I expected angles to sing when I took my first bite. Perhaps angles don't go in bars. Instead, the balogna slid out or the bun leaving a pint of mayo for me to lock of my fingers. Not something I like to do in public . Some would argue that bologna should be served on White Bread. I'm not that big of a purist, so I was perfectly content with the bun provided. I did request extra mayo and I got just that. All on one side of the delishous bun. To remedy that I disassembled my sandwich. I took half the mayo and put it on the other half of the bun. I cut up the onions and lettuce as they contributed to the balogna sliding off the bun. I salted the tomato and reassembled the sandwich and the sliding problem was solved. My next problem was a continuation of the young Cook not knowing that I like my fried balogna fried, really fried. This is a weird quirk I have because I like my steak really really rare. It wasn't terrible. I was just expecting a fried bologna sandwich just the way my mom did them in the 50's and beyond. BUT everyone knows Noone can fry a balogna sandwich as good as mom's unless you count grandma or your aunts. I didn't find my server as friendly as Amanda the gal that served me last time. Nor was she as attentive. Had she been more like Amanda this would have been a 4 star review. She was cute, her hair was done nicely and she did dress well. I just feel when I walk into a restaurant its expected to be treated like family especially after the first visit. I got that from Amanda. The regular customers were friendly. A couple of the other gals were a bit more friendly than my server. And one did invite me back. I do need to come back to sample other menu offerings. I do recommend Bogey's if you're in the area or perhaps after a round of golf. I can't recommend the fried Bologna sandwich, but if you never had your mom's fried balogna in the 50's you may like it. I will recommend the BLT, as it was among the best Restaurant BLTs that I remember eating.

Like other TJ's the restaurant/bar has a nice sports bar feel with lots of tv's and the overall feel is fun, but also warm and inviting. The outdoor patio space is great! It's really a nice space to have a dinner and/or beer with friends and the service was fantastic. I had the riblets and substituted onion rings for the fries. The rings tasted great and the server was more than happy to bring extra dipping sauce. The riblets were ok. In the future I'll probably just order normal full ribs or stick with a burger but overall they were pretty good. TJ Chumps is a nice local chain and always a good bet for a good experience.

I asked for ranch, which was somewhat more palatable. The pretzels were fine. The service was fine. The restaurant seems in need of a deep cleaning and a new chef.
