We are from out of town and just wanted to eat some crawfish. We had oysters, gumbo, and of course crawfish. Would definitely not recommend this place!!! The gumbo had no flavor what so ever. Gumbo I had out of a can was better. The oysters were good in size but wasn't a big fan of the idea of pico on my oysters. The crawfish were the smallest I had ever seen. But not only that. They had so much butter that you literally had to scoop them out like soup. Wouldn't recommend at all. I make way way better crawfish and I don't do it for a profession. To me it's an odd location for this type of place and it's not really a shack as much as a new strip mall center. The interior is adorned with people's writing on any surface that they can. The daily market price for all items are located on chalk boards on either sides of the bar. I came for the boil and they offer crawfish in the off season, frozen or fresh and a variety of other selections. We ordered 2 pounds of crawfish, 1 pound of blue crabs (two whole crabs) and the cajun fries. They put out a white paper on the table for the boils which makes you see just how messy of an eater you are (my spot was doused in juices and butter) but, hey if you aren't wearing it then the crawfish must not have been that good. To accompany our food we took advantage of the $5.00 bloody marys on Saturday. The bloody marys were good, not as terrible as other places but, not the best that I have had either. For $5.00 though they are worth it if you don't like your bloody boozy. The blue crabs were difficult to manuever, not a lot of meat and don't have the sweet crab flavor. I would recommend just getting the snow crab legs if you have a hankering for crab. The crawfish is where it's at! The seasoning was the best that I have ever had on a boil anywhere. It was garlicy, buttery and had just the right amount of spice (I ordered spicy). Lift up the crawfish in the bowl because all the goodness is underneath. We ordered a side of drawn butter but, you don't need it. We ordered the fresh crawfish and they were smaller than in season but, still delicious. When you order 2 pounds of crawfish you receive the fixins of a half of a corn cob, one boiled potato, small pieces of sausage, onion and mushrooms. It's worth it but, if you are like me you should order some extra pieces of each, especially if you are sharing because there isn't that much to go around. Everyone is raving about the cajun fries but, to me they were just ok. They were regular fries with some seasoning thrown on top served with ketchup! Not really any wow factor. Our service was also 5 stars! The price per pound was a bit high but, it is off season and I would be curious to see their pricing during the season because there are some cheaper places. We come here for crawfish when it's in season and have never been disappointed. I do notice they tend to serve smaller and smaller ones as the season ends. But their buttery garlicky sauce is really good. I always get the 1x spicy with extra mushrooms and sausage. I sometimes order crab legs and those can be served in the same sauce if you like. Cajun fries and calamari are good and pretty cheap too. Dinner during the week Mon-Thurs is usually not crowded, sometimes a bit empty. The only time we had to wait about 45 mins was on a Friday during Lent season, but that's not surprising. I like the location too, it's in South Park Meadows, so you can get Amy's Ice Cream, Boba tea, or froyo for dessert afterwards. Or do some shopping at Target. read more

They provide a little tin for you to put your trash in when you're done. And they also provide little wet napkins for easy cleanup. When during prime crawfish season and they completely over cooked it. The tails were a good size but were falling apart. The beer glass came out very dirty. The boudin balls came out with a Short dark hair on one of them. The bar manager "d" or "dr" was rude. He asked if we needed anything and i asked for some butter and he told me i had to ask my server..... well then why the hell did you ask if i needed anything? Give me all of the snow crab this place can make! I like it spicy so I wish the seasoning could have been Spicer but it was still good. If you are afraid of butter though stay away (more for me).... If you know what good crawfish is . From what I hear, they just opened. They are doing a great job attending to their patrons with great service. If this was them working out their kinks, I can't imagine what the service would be like when they are a fine tuned business. This establishment was very clean as well. I highly recommend. The gf and I have visited their OG location off wells branch multiple times. Best crawfish in Austin hands down. But half our visits also have been accompanied by below average/very slow service. But when we saw they finally opened a location in our neck of the woods, we had to give it a try. We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday. Pretty busy time to get there. We were 3rd on the waiting list. The first thing to catch my eye was the lack of staff for a restaurant that large. Having dirty tables stay dirty and not having your guests on the waiting list seated on those empty tables is a huge rookie mistake. So annoying to see. I work in a restaurant. If my employees were to leave dirty tables uncleaned while other guests were waiting for 20+mins, that would be a major problem. Now to the food... awesome. Just like their OG location. Big. Juicy. Fresh crawfish. Awesome flavors. I would describe my spice tolerance as middle of the pack, so getting the medium level spice is always perfect. Get a side order of the grilled bread and dip it in the boil fluids. Do it. You will thank me later. The food did take a while to come out as always... The crawfish etouffee here is Probably the best I've had in Austin as well. Which is another reason it's a damn shame I can't give this place 5 stars. I ordered a frozen margarita and two pounds of extra spicy crawfish. My boyfriend ordered the catfish platter. Overall, I say that the food (and the margarita) was delicious and the crawfish were huge. The extra spicy is not as spicy as some I've had elsewhere, but still had a great kick and flavor. They came out and apologized then someone came over by the name of Rica to be our server stating our server hadn't showed up to work yet. (So I'm thinking y'all were just going to leave us here til they got here) anywho Rica was nice very attentive and made up for lost time I hate to say it but we were the only black table here at that time. Not sure where the disconnect was but people were being help immediately after us at other tables. Very disappointed. I came in after 9 PM and the bar and restaurant was full of hungry people. I waited about 10 minutes and grabbed a seat at the bar. Stephen and Fernando are excellent bartenders and immediately provided me with an unsweetened tea. I had a couple of friends show up and they orders snow crab and live crawfish. The food was ready in a few minutes. Delicious! I highly recommend the live crawfish. They fix it just right. We went for my son's 15th birthday and the one star is more on the service than the food. We went on a Friday night, the hostess told us it would be 45 minutes to an hour, we waited about 15 which was nice. We ordered our drinks, 4 sweet teas, one un sweet. The server told us they just ran out of sweet tea but were brewing some fresh. The sweet tea was not very sweet at all - I prefer un sweet tea so I liked it. About 30 minutes passed before my wife got her tea, but it did come out eventually. My son and I each ordered two pounds of crawfish, his mild - mine spicy, my wife and daughter shared the shrimp and steak, and my son's friend ordered a well done steak and fries. We also started with two orders of hush puppies. The hush puppies were good, so was the tarter sauce. The crawfish was also good but the server wasn't sure which one was spicy and which was mild, so we had to figure out which was which by trying each others. It also says in the menu if you order two pounds you'll get corn, 1 potato, sausage, and mushrooms. My order didn't have any potato in it, his order had 1 tiny red potato. For a seafood restaurant, this feels CHEAP. If you have to, charge an extra $0.50 and include a regular sized Russet Potato. The steak was bad. The crawfish got delivered a good 10 minutes before the steak, I had to get up and go looking for it. My wife ordered her steak med-rare and the other steak was ordered well done. I understand that a well done steak may take a bit longer, but not a med-rare. The fries are also CHEAP frozen fries. To top it off, the steaks were mixed up. They served my wife the well done steak and our guest the med-rare. Which isn't a huge deal to swap, but our guest probably left hungry because the well done steak was tiny. Both cuts had big fatty chunks also. After the food got delivered, we didn't see our server again until I asked another server if they could get our check. At which point our server showed up and bused the table. He didn't get much of a tip out of me and maybe a manager will read this and address it. After eating the crawfish my hands were plenty covered in the buttery sauce, which was good, but they need to send out wet wipes or something. I went in to the restroom to wash my hands and had to use my pants because there were no paper towels there either. TLDR - The crawfish was good, the rest of it was CHEAP frozen foods that got fried or re-heated. They should be ashamed of the service, it was that bad. read more

I absolutely am pleased with this seafood restaurant! we went on a Saturday evening and it was not as busy. We had oysters half shells ($10.95 for a dozen) calamari and boudin balls (both at $4.95 each) for appetizers. we also orders 3 lbs of snow crabs at $7.99/lb with $1 off for every pound that Saturday, 2 inks of crawfish at $9.99/lb, but with every 2 lbs we got potatoes, corn and mushrooms in the hot pot. we also had their margarita special that evening, which was pineapple margaritas for $6. Spent $115 for everything, that's great for the amount of food we had! We enjoyed our waitress and it was a restaurant. Good atmosphere to bring friends and family and enjoy some delicious seafood, especially crawfish! I'll be back! read more

I went in during SXSW. Felt like they were severely understaffed. There was one female server who seemed inexperienced and wouldn't bus a single table. The manager was nice and accommodating. But should have told her the business. It took a long time to get attention. The food was pretty good. Had the snow crab legs. I would eat here again for sure.
