The large sandwich might be the biggest individual sandwich I've ever seen in my life. For the price, this is the most bang for your buck in Berkeley. One large sandwich can easily feed 3 hungry adults. We had the Peter Griffin, loved it. It was just spicy enough and full of chicken. Sauces are on point and very flavorful. Love that they are halal. I will deff be back and will highly consider them for future parties!!! read more

Checked this place out pretty recently because of all the rave I heard, and it was pretty good! The sandwich I got was the Patrick Star. The flavors were delicious and the sandwich was unlike any other sandwich I've tried!! On the downside, the sandwich got soggy really fast. And the other sandwich I tried wasn't that great, so I can only attest that the Patrick Star is good. If you're in the area, check it out! Not really worth goin out of your way for though. OH and a plus side is that it has halal meat! Plus a huge variety of vegan options. read more

love the decor and art. Great sandwich bread (i recommend dutch crunch) but not the best vegetarian options. Almost every vegetarian sandwich has this fake chicken which not every vegetarian likes. I still enjoyed my sandwich but some substitutes would definitely make it better. Staff was great and my food came quick! read more

The place is nice but dirty, food takes a bit long so order ahead. The kiosk ordering is broken or has some issues so it's better to scan the QR code or order at the counter. They have place to sit inside or outside. read more

Amazing sandwiches right here in Berkeley! Have you ever been to Ike's? It's like that but way better. My two fave sandwiches are StormFly and Fire Dept. Super spicy but tasty. It can get kinda wild when a bunch of students are waiting around for their orders. And by "wild," I mean crowded and awkward. Everyone was super nice but it was challenging to pick up a to-go order last time I called ahead. That was shortly after they relocated, though. My spouse has picked up several orders since and not reported anything awkward. TL;DR the chicken tenders SLAP and a full size Patrick Starr can be split amongst two adults. read more

Ordered delivery of a vegan sandwich and wanted to substitute for the vegan turkey. The only other option said chicken and figured it was vegan as that would make sense given they also had a regular option of this sandwich. Received real chicken instead. When I called they claimed that some people sub non-vegan for vegan (seriously?) and that they would fix the menu for future orders, but they would not make my order right despite the situation. When I asked for a manager, I was told there was none available (of course). When I told them they were losing a regular customer, the response was "oh well". "F" this place. Edited In response to Mohammed's reply as I have issue with several things in your statement; This was a customer satisfaction issue due to the confusing menu choice. Your explanation makes no sense - trade turkey for chicken because some people are allergic to dairy? I hope you realize neither a turkey nor a chicken have dairy in them. Especially the vegan versions. We did not ask for a refund, we asked for the sandwich we expected to receive. All we kept getting told was it was made correct. As for your reference to screaming - your staff is pretty thin-skinned if they think that was screaming. I was upset and rightfully so that the person I spoke with was not willing to help. The circular argument of telling me over and over that nothing was done wrong so nothing more needs to be done is insulting and went nowhere toward a solution. I might have taken the offer you suggested, but it never came. Offering it in Yelp after the fact is too little too late. You stated that "we are all human beings and that there's alway a solution" - maybe teach that to your staff instead of trying scold me. It seems from other reviews that this is not the first time that someone has been frustrated with Crave's service and the laissez faire attitude there when a problem occurs. And last, you spelled my name wrong - that wasn't a good way to start. read more

Subs here are delicious!! I'm so happy that we decided to order from this place on DoorDash. What we got was a patrick star sandwich, boondocks sandwich and a large order of curly fries. Out of the two sandwiches, we all agreed that they were both absolutely delicious but we favored the patrick star sandwich. It was very filling so I think it was worth the $. In comparison to other sandwich spots, I think it was more bang for your buck. This was shared among 3 people and we were soooo full! I think you can even share it with 1 other person and still be full haha. I also think the names of their sandwiches are cute and unique! Great new sub shop in Downtown Berkeley. I really like this place because they have a ton of vegetarian options, including impossible meat, and vegan turkey. Their menu is quite large, and I have been going with the dutch crunch rolls and vegan meats. The inside is quite small, but there is seating as well as a few outdoor tables. I also like that I can order ahead and pick it up when I get off BART. read more

Plant based heaven - had this place twice but forgot to review the first time. I got the Charmander on Dutch with small Curley fries. Picture doesn't do it justice because of the lighting oops. It was a decent size sando (price kinda sucks because if all the door dash fees). The meatballs were good, still tasted plant based but the marinara helps. Crave is everything as stellar as the reviews paint it to be. I've tried the Iron Man, Patrick Star, Pikachu, to name a few and they have all been stellar with my favourites being the Iron Man with its mushrooms and the Patrick Star who's korean bbq sauce really suprised me in how well it suited the sandwitch. They also have really crispy tater tots that I would recommend. The only downside is that there are a few sandwitches that are just average but they are the exception to the norm. Will come back to try more soon! read more

If your craving a nice sandwich, loaded fries and shakes and it's halal with vegan options I highly recommend this place. I tried the Wolverine loaded fries with a pastrami sandwich and it was delicious. I will be going back again. The only thing I ask the staff is to have a better knowledge of the menu and recommendations for first time customers, other than that awesome place. WOW I'm impressed! Firstly, I always crave a good sandwich and fries but most sub shops don't offer fries as an option so I was pleasantly surprised to see fries on their menu! (The small portion was huge!) being a vegetarian my options are sometimes limited as well but there were so many good options to pick from. I got half of the Rick and morty and half of the robin. My kids are telling me to give them a hundred stars. I would if that was an option. Service was great! Guy helping us made ordering so easy. He was so patient with my demanding kids. He gave great recommendations on what to order as it was our first time there. All of the sandwiches were amazing, but the Patrick Star was on another level! Best sandwiches ever. We will definitely be back. Worth every penny. They have outdoor seating. Nice and clean location. I recommend eating the sandwich as soon as it's made as any and every sandwich gets soggy after a while regardless where you buy it from. read more

Love the menu of this place! There were so many items I wanted to try, but as a shrimp po'boy fan I went with the shrimpy pebbles and it was really good. I love the sauce especially.
