I have been wanting to try Afghan Burrito since undergrad and finally paid a visit recently! Lots of vegetarian options on the menu which I appreciated. You order at the window - we got one veggie burrito with pretty much all the toppings and it was ready within 10-15 minutes. Good amount of outdoor seating available Veggie Burrito (4/5): Generous portion size! I was stuffed after eating just a half. The sauces on the side gave the burrito a nice kick. That said, I would skip the nacho cheese next time as I felt like it overpowered the other flavors. More pico de gallo and sour cream would help make the burrito taste more fresh. We got normal rice so the burrito tasted more Mexican rather than Afghan Overall, the burrito was solid. I would come back and instead, either get it Afghan style with no nacho cheese or try the crunchwrap

Super yummy! The portion sizes are massive, like a afghani and Hispanic fusion the size of a chipotle burrito. I love finding halal places that are unique. I highly recommend getting their golden burrito, it's super flavorful and you'll enjoy every bite! The spot is cute too, definitely a nice place to go to with friends if you're fine with outdoor seating. They also have some indoor seating as well but you get a nice view of the sunset from outside.

Still a great spot to try something different. Their quesadillas remain one of my favorite things to order here.

The food never disappoints here! Atmosphere is super nice for small and large settings, I always get their Crunchwrap and burrito bowls which are solid. Had Birria for the first time and they nailed it! Tender well spiced meat with generous portions!

Right next to my auto mechanic in Berkeley. Opens at 11 and I've usually dropped of my car to pick up anotger day before they open. Today I stuck around thinking car would be ready earlier. After drowning in coffee at another place most of the morning I tried this place being next door and when car is ready it's a short walk. I think I may have been here years ago just for a coffee or something. Today was first time I've had food. 2 steak tacos with everything including "hot" hot sauce. This includes their signature "golden sauce". Not sure what it is. Prolly has roots in Afghan culinary. No matter it is very good. Excellent tacos. I also had a Topo Chico mineral water since everything else had sugar. There is water. Covered outdoor seating is really nice and indoor seating when weather is yuck. Music is upbeat. Just finished listening to "Another One bites the Dust". I think Rockwell is on now. Other items looked great with a blend of Afghan and Mexican flavors unite for something deliciously different. Next time I bring a car in I'll try something different. Sugar free ice tea would be a plus. Staff is nice, vibe is relaxed, music is up there and food distinctively different goodness.

We ordered the Surf & Turf Burrito, Chicken Burrito, and Chicken Quesadillas. The food was good and came with chips. You can immediately tell it's not your typical "Mexican burrito" -- it definitely has a unique Mediterranean-Afghan flavor twist that makes it stand out. The bathroom is located in the back of the restaurant and was clean, and the kitchen area also looked neat and well-kept. Service was great! The guy helping us had a smile on his face the whole time and made us feel very welcome.

This review is for a delivery order-was my 2nd time eating at Afghan Burrito. This time I tried fried chicken burrito bowl. While I find the ingredients were fresh and delicious. I was expecting the fried chicken to be on top of the bowl, so I could w join the crunch of the chicken. The chicken was on top of the rice and under the guacamole and shredded cheese so it was soggy. Nevertheless the food was flavorful, but I think the location of the chicken would have made a big difference. Maybe I'll try again later...

Friendly staff, awesome outdoor location, and a loaded and flavorful burrito. What more can you ask for? The golden sauce is akin to a mild curry sauce and goes really well in a burrito. Portion size was also good. We'll be back to try more soon!

Where have you been all my life! This place is so cute! It's set up for fun, eith lots of outdoor sitting. The staff & owners are amazing! They are so talented, humble & helpful. The food is amazing! I highly recommend their burrito bowl, crunch wrap, green sauce & hot chai tea. All of their flavor profiles are incredible! I'm so glad I know about this place & really look forward to eating here the rest of my life! :)

Mexican restaurant with Afghan infused flavors. No Jalapeno, taco spice and tarjins; instead yogurt buttery sauces, curry flavor etc. Service was quick decent with order delivery at the table. It's delicious with generous portions and value. Food a bit oily and heavy in nature so be mindful . Veggie options available. Location was really clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Big screen inside for events. Outdoor has gazebo like seating. Great for groups, kids, meetups, gathering. It's flat wide entry and accessible.

Hi! I've been so curious about your business tha I really want to try it. I am allergic to all grains so I would have to get your bowl option. Is it truly grain free? What's fajitas? I can eat corn tortillas made without flour.

I think the bowl would be a good option! It comes loaded with veggies. Fajitas are roasted bell peppers. I eat my bowl with the corn chips. They're very accommodating so you should be able to enjoy it here 😊 I highly recommend this place!

But working with them directly helps them earn more than when it's through one of the delivery sites). I've always liked Kamdesh, sometimes during a busy lunch rush I've had to wait a little bit, but I felt like getting them a shot. I worked out a menu for a buffet lunch with different items and they delivered to my office in downtown. We had folks with dietary restrictions, and the person I talked to was able to walk me through some options. There were able to work within my price range per person and I could choose different items like kebabs, borani, etc. and they included cooked veggies, saffron rice and salad. It probably ended up being too much food but that's a good problem to have. Everyone enjoyed the meal, and we had leftovers in the fridge for a couple days.

We got variety of dishes like chicken/chapli, beef/chicken, beef/chapli etc. we were happy to see salaam Cola instead of coke/pepsi etc. the bolani was amazing and very fresh and crispy which is nicer than a softer texture. The rice came brown seasoned, but it was a bit lighter in color and flavor, would suggest try to make it more seasoned/heavier on flavor. The chapli was really good and had a peshawri like taste and texture. The chicken today pieces were large in size and color was just right. For some reason the chicken flavor didnt get all the way through. The ambiance was nice and it is a good addition to fremonts Afghan restaurants

What is the point of an appetizer if it's not served before the main dishes? We were very disappointed. Taste wise, bolani was very thin and bland. Barely any potatoes or stuffing. The Chapli kabob and Karahi chicken were also disappointing, I think the quality has changed perhaps with new management. We also noticed the waitress kept gloves on, the same gloves she would handle payments with, she used to hand us our plates and cutlery. That is very unhygienic and quite frankly appalling.
