This place. I cant even with this place. We go a LOT of places for Beer. Never before have we experienced the service, knowledge and helpfulness of the staff at Growler. I wish they werent so far away, we would regularly stop here, like 3 times a week if we could. The beer selection is top notch with over 90 taps on the wall. All craft beer. Dont come here looking for your Ab InBev crap (Karbach cough). Its not happening, at least during our visit. If you want real beer, this my friends is the gold mine. The food was amazing. What I ordered wasnt what i wanted, but that was me not using my eyes to actually read the menu. But It was still good food. My husbands food was amazing! Buffalo chicken wrap every day, all day. Bar guys are great and know the beer....got to have that, plus friendly and will give you tastes for the beer you're interested in. Food looks good and got a recommendation to try the tacos from another bar patron. Today they have some crawfish going on so lots of people, but still a great atmosphere. Love all the taps they have and a great selection. They have stuff I have yet to see on taps in other places in and around Katy/Houston. One star is too many for the experience I had at this establishment. I have been here plenty of times all great experiences until this most recent visit. Joseph provided some of the worst service I've ever seen for a bar. I gave him a nice tip in hopes that maybe he'll try harder next time to actually care about what he's trying to provide. I've eaten there 4 times now and I absolutely love their wings. Dee behind the bar told me her favorite wings were taking the hot dry rub as a base with the Honey Saratcha on it and I tried it and it was delicious. I eat wings 2 to 3 times a week and all over the USA and this little restaurant/bar in Katy, TX has one of the best if not the best wings I've ever had. My wife doesn't care for wings but she tries something different on the menu (which has a huge variety) every time and has yet to have a meal that wasn't great. Lots off beer selections and a great atmosphere. Stopped by here after doing an obstacle course near here. We wanted burgers, beer and wings. They have lifts of beer on tap, all craft. Too many to choose do we did a flight, mine all IPA's, which were great. I'd say they had about 6 big screens playing sports. Burger was good but small especially with how much it cost. Wings were average. My only gripe would be someone kept switching channels in between commercials. Very annoying. Other than that, would come back to try other beers and food. read more

They advertise it and so get it right and they do. Great beer selection. All micro-brewery choices. Marry those up with good starters and pub food and you have a great little restaurant. We had the sliders, tomato soup, Mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich and Buffalo chicken wrap. All great. My only suggestions for improvement, and why I deducted a star, was that the food didn't all come out together and the follow up service was lacking. But to quote Arnold: I'll be back. read more

Food was great! Plenty of beers to choose from. Staff are rude and could care less. Lady behind the bar - long brown hair has an attitude deluxe! Everything' was a big deal and an eye roll. If you don't want to serve people - get out of the service industry. We were sitting outside- I went in to change my drink as I didn't like the recommendation of cider (that's on me not them). I asked to see the wine list. The lady behind the bar said (in a very dismissive voice) go and look at the menu on the QR Code (outside at our table). I said "can't you show me a wine list so that I don't have to go outside and come back in?" She rolled her eyes and handed me the menu right in front or her. I enjoy this place. Real beer nerd place with typical bar food that is a notch above most bar food. Kid friendly. Pet friendly. I've seen it dead and packed. Always friendly staff that will talk your ear off about beer if you want them to, but arentpushy. The only negative is having the tiniest patio in recorded human bar history. Lol. First let me start by saying this place is part of a chain. I'm not big on chain craft beer spots. However...this place is great! What makes it great? The staff! Man was I impressed with the help and I was given. If you read most my posts I spend a lot of time drinking and chasing good beer. I came in did a little talking and before I knew it I had an outstanding flight of four beers! I expected the crew NOT to know their beers. I was wrong. I was very impressed by their knowledge and most of all their how friendly they were. I'm a beer geek. I blog about it. I travel the country drinking it. The staff at Growler USA knows their beer. If they don't they get someone to help them. Now the beers! I will sum it up like this. Lots of local and state wide beers with some nation wide and InBev "craft" mixed in. The local and state wide far out number everything else. I recommend a flight of Texas beers. If your just getting in to beer culture ask your server to build you a flight of four (you can up to six for 15 bucks!) accounting for four different styles. Lots of beer and some good appetizers. Prices are not that great but selection of micro brews is really good. I was disappointed that they won't serve flights (small samples of beer) after 5PM due to business. Other places that I know you know of, will serve them all night long. A paying customer is a paying customer. The buffalo chicken pita appetizer is AWESOME and I highly recommend it. It was super loud in here and we had to pretty much yell our orders and to speak to one another. Many people brought their kids which we felt was super awkward. Free Wi-Fi is a plus but it was in and out and really slow. We will definitely try this place again, but sincerely hope they allow flights for sale at all times of the day from now on. I like the beer choices and am a huge fan of the tater tots. I have been there 3 times and all of which the service was awful. It takes too long and it's as if you have to know the server to get them to react. I may be a bit critical because WOB has twice the bar length and half the servers but they always seem to ask me if I need anything. read more

Dont be fooled by the menu. You don't get an extra side with all the hand held food choices. The grilled cheese and soup does not come with a second choice even though the menu says it does. I ordered it anyway, but had to send back the soup because it was not even warm. My girlfriend ordered the peach cobbler but couldn't eat it because it too was hardly warm and had a weird metallic taste. Our waiter said that "yeah, I always recommend the chocolate". Only he didn't recommend it to us... This place clearly caters to beer drunks that don't care what they eat. We won't be back and I recommend that you go a block or two more and try something else. read more

Staff are crazy efficient and really know their stuff, with at least two Cicerones on hand. Recommend starting w a flight.
