Great service, HORRIBLE food. Going to Cracker Barrel has been a family tradition for a few years now whenever we are doing long drives/ traveling because of its ubiquitous nature and great comfort food. From Indiana, Rhode Island, Virginia, and now Florida.. we'd always pay a visit. Across the board, service is great. Our waitress was so warm and friendly. However, the food was almost inedible and I ordered what I usually order - a "fancy fixin" with a side of Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and some sort of vegetable to pair. I got the roast beef instead of my country fried steak. Unfortunately, everything but the biscuit was inedible to me. The gravy on the mash potatoes on my roast beef tastes very clinical. The Mac and cheese (which I could usually finish two bowls of) weren't creamy but watery. I wish I could rate this place higher because all the employees here were wonderful and warm. Hubby took me to Crackerbarrel for the very first time and I love it. Waitress was friendly, although rushed. Food was unexpected and served in seperate little dishes, but Yummy! Apple Cider tasted just like crushed apples. While waiting for the food to arrive, I cruised through the shop that you have to go through to get to the resteraunt. What a lot of wonderful Christmas shopping gift ideas ... and how expensive they all are. A blouse average price was $45. But, back to the resteraunt side ... interesting and homey. Definately going to return to sample more of their goodies on the menu :) There were a host of rocking chairs out front to relax in, but this was not outdoor seating for dining. read more

Ordered two eggs over easy and country fried steak. Eggs came out over hard, no biscuits The waitress offered to exchange for me. Fifteen minutes later still no eggs. I flagged her down and she said she would check on five minutes later the manager brought over the eggs but they were still over hard again and by that time my country fried steak and gravy was cold as I wasn't gonna eat it without the eggs. I was traveling through with my little dog, who is a emotional support dog, we got out of the car and I filled her travel water bowl with water and let her drink, walked her a little and then got dinner Togo. I came back to the car and let her have more water, then as I put her in her doggie seat, and situated my food in the car, I forgot to grab the bowl! Now these travel bowls aren't cheap, and I had just purchased it, on a tight budget. I got upset at myself when I realized I had forgot it almost an hour later. I called the Cracker Barrel and I got the manager James Seiler, I asked if I could have it mailed to me and what it would cost, he said he would go outside and make sure it was still there, it was dark out but not only did he find it he mailed it to me at no charge! Won't be going back to this Cracker Barrel anytime soon. We arrived, ordered, and waited patiently for our meals. When the meals arrived I asked our server to please bring out an order of biscuits and corn bread (these items were offered freely years ago) however the waitress literally argued with me that she can only bring a limited amount because 2 of the meals were kids meals and their meals don't include biscuits and if she brought more than 4 items (biscuits combined with cornbread) she would need to charge me for it. Thank god my kids were already eating and didn't want any biscuits because who knows what she would have charged had she seen them eat a biscuit not included with their meals. I asked to speak to a manager because I have never had to argue for BISCUITS at any Cracker Barrel EVER. The manager listened to my complaint the whole time looking at me as if I'm the one who should be reprimanded. Assured me he would "speak to his server, and retrain," but added at the end in a very Condescending/Sarcastic way, "thank you for telling me, I know the reason you're so concerned is because you care about Cracker Barrel. I wasn't going to write about my experience but after leaving Daytona/Ormond Beach we ate at 2 other Cracker Barrel's in Kissimmee throughout our trip and got amazing service, therefore proving the issue I encountered is not a Cracker Barrel corporate wide issue it's a back woods, small town, stingy, if I don't know you, you must not be important to my location, issue! When paying I witnessed the manager speaking to other patrons, he knew a lot of them by name and even asked about specific family members, which I thought was amazing but it made it obvious that in this hidden location the only customers worth getting a friendly smile and good service are the regulars, apparently there's no room for tourist. read more

Best Cracker Barrel I have been to. I usually stop at Cracker Barrels when I'm on the road. It started when I had my first child and it was great to stop at for several reasons. First of all it was a safe parking lot to change diapers or nurse in. They are great to get a to go coffee, snack or toy for the kids, and they have audio books to rent for the road trip. I also like to eat at them on the road. First of all, I know that, for a chain, they make a lot of their food from scratch. If you are in the middle of nowhere and yelp doesn't have any reviews near by, you know you can get a good meal. Also if you are traveling, they are right off the highway and you can get in and out with out going too far off your path and the food is usually quick. I have been really happy with my local restaurant. I have had great service and the food has been quick and tasty. I am really excited that I found out that they will be bringing the Ruben here. I have had them in other cities, but were told they were a regional item. It seems odd, but a Cracker Barrel Ruben rocks. I also love the Friday fish fry. Huge portions of well fried cod, 2 sides and bread for under $10. Its enough for two. One other favorite item of mine are the seasonal french toasts. (cinnamon roll and apple strudel have been my top faves) read more

I usually love Cracker Barrel... but this trip to this location was just... "EH". Three stars... no more, no less. Food was mediocre. Service unexceptional. Our waitress didn't know what "GLUTEN" was!!! And she had 4 stars on her Cracker Barrel apron. I was surprised. Then I was double charged for a snack in the store part of the establishment. It was crowded, so it was an extra PITA to get it resolved. I will no doubt be back to Cracker Barrel, just not this one. read more

We just had the worst service ever coming from the manager. The food was good as well as the waiter, but we just enter into the location with our two dogs (they did not said anything about or had any restriction about pets allowed on the location) so after the food was served this un professional, disrespectful and racist manager came to us to tell that he have to leave the premises if the dogs were not service gods. We came with the check and forced I'd to pay, we barely touched our food. Am really dissapointed and extremely mad with the treat from this shitty manager and even a worst person saying that is agains the law to have a dog in the premises after we have been seated for more than 45 mins. First, I have to say we had excellent service. She was very attentive and courteous. Our meals were served promptly and hot. The salad was fresh and of good size. Our baked potatoes were cooked perfectly and the grilled haddock was delicious. The only items that were not perfect were the rolls and biscuits. They were a bit overdone. I usually love this place, but today my experience wasn't as good as usual. Our waitress acted almost like she was annoyed to serve us, and didn't really check up on us even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. I ordered chicken and dumplings with a side of French fries, and for the first time in my Cracker Barrel career, they just threw the French fries on top of the chicken and dumplings. I'm not going to pay to eat soggy French fries, so we ended up sending the plate back. The fries they then gave me were pretty burnt. I've never had an experience like this before in this store. 3/5, because the food we did get other than the fries was good and the service was not as good as usual. read more

I have been a patron for years and have watched with sadness the store in Ormond Beach Fl. deteriorating from the Manager down, the servers have little or NO help when it come to bus persons and a Manager that is either hiding or not interested in the cleanliness or support that the servers need to deliver a pleasant experience. I ordered a burger at CB. It was a thin meat patty. I sent the first one back since it was too pink inside. How can you not cook a thin patty of meat. The second arrived and I guess the cook was pissed.... it was burnt and must have had half a white onion. I removed most of the onion. I only ate about a fourth of the burger. The server never ask if it was ok. Oh, the fries came after I had attempted to eat the burger. I only live about 6 miles from this CB. The last time I ordered one of their lunches. It was all put on the same plate and the gravy on the potatoes was too much. It looked like my food was floating in gravy. CB, you use to serve good food. I wish they had a zero! I don't even like that I have to give them one star! First off they were not busy they may have had 10 tables in the whole place we went at around 3pm. Service was awful she didn't know the difference between a steak and country fried steak she brought him his coffee with our drinks then after a 1/2 hour with an empty cup I finally got her attention to bring him more that was cold! She also reeked of cigarettes, unprofessional. We waited over an hour for our food as we watched 2 other tables come in eat their food and leave. When we did get our food it wasn't what we ordered and it was cold! My husband eggs had a hair in it which the Manager tried to argue with him that it wasn't and then my husband told him even the coffee was cold to which he replied that it was impossible. Pretty disappointed! Food was terrible! Steak was like chewing on tasteless jerky, grits were room temperature and the cheese they put on them wouldn't even melt! I went there for breakfast with a coworker before training today. Upon arrival the hostess seemed frustrated she had to stop stocking the shelves to seat us. Once we sat down, the server asked about our drinks. My coworker asked for orange juice without ice and she rudely stated they never have ice in their juice. She brought drinks and then got into another argument with him about him asking for an extra side of bacon, after he explained to the server he knew it was an up-charge. She said it wasn't an up-charge because it was an extra side. He tried explaining that he just wanted bacon and knew he had to pay. The server actually came back and apologized for being rude about the bacon. So the food comes and we open the utensils. There's food chunks stuck to the knife. Then a roach starts crawling down the wall. We let the server know and she takes my napkin and crushes the roach to death and then lets me know she'd be happy to get me another napkin. Well I'd hope so! Needless to say we stopped eating at that point. The manager came over and let us know that he would be calling an exterminator later that day. Despite barely eating the food, nothing was taken off the bill. Not that I'd expect that but it would've been nice. Then we go to pay. I end up not even getting a receipt because he cashier left me at the register pin-pad to go seat people. We don't live in the area and we're just there for training, but I definitely would never go back. read more

Very cute, with a fun store. But trying to find anything to eat if you a vegan is a major challenge. They don't even have almond or soy milk for tea., or for oatmeal. What about people who are allergic to dairy. I didn't see anything gluten free either. Basically, there is toast or hash browns and fruit. Come on Cracker Barrel, you could add one or two vegan choices!!! read more

Dined here over the weekend on our way back home from a road trip. This location was a bit more difficult to find. The service was great, even with how busy they were. My mother doesn't consider it a roadtrip unless we stop at one of these chains during our trip...we all love southern comfort food and Cracker Barrel is just that for us. read more

food was good, but the service was very bad, The restaurant was at 25% capacity so they were not even close to busy. Our server Katherine was not trained well or just did not give a darn. She took our order brought us our drinks and that was the last we saw of her, another server brought our meals, until she snatched up our plates without asking if we were done and then presented us with the check, saying there was no rush but.... Drinks were empty for half the meal, personality of a slug.
