So we thought, since we live in Daytona Beach now, we'd try the one here. Very much the same experience. I tried ordering the Veggie Philly, but they were out of hoagie bread. So instead of hoagie bread, they put it in a wrap. Unfortunately it was a total flop. And, the cheese was basically nonexistent. The highlight of our visit was the free bread. We had the best server I've probably ever had. Her name was Christina and she was patient and honest about menu food she also brought us the best fudgy cake. My boyfriend and I went here on New Years Eve! It was pretty busy but We got seated pretty quickly and our waitress was wonderful and helpful. The place is nice I like the booths and I love the fans they have and the big fish tank! Our order had taken a little longer than expected to get to us so she gave us more free rolls which was appreciated! My boyfriend got a sirloin and he said it was great and i also agree because of course I had to taste test it too. Mine was wonderful, the only complaints I had is the broccoli just being so mushy and not having the greatest of taste and there could've been some more sauce as some of the noodles were a tad dry but the chicken was AMAZING. I usually enjoy this location and frequently place to-go orders. The staff member who typically assists me at the to-go station is always great. However, during my most recent visit, I attempted to use an emailed coupon for free chips with spinach dip or queso. The associate checked with the manager, and his response was unexpectedly rude and dismissive, repeatedly saying I couldn't use it without a code- saying "nope, I need a code." However, I had a code listed on the digital card but that one didn't seem to suffice in the moment. ( I included a photo for reference.) I remained polite and let it go, but the interaction was disappointing--especially as a regular customer who typically has positive experiences here. The cashier assisting me also seemed to be a bit caught off guard by the managers immediate dismissal. I understand Friday nights can be busy, but there's still a respectful way to speak to paying guests. Great customer service. Back story I was traveling with a group of high school students from Miami to tour some local colleges. I called Cheddars Sunday after to find out if they would be able to accommodate us for dinner. We were flexible and were okay with being seated separately in smaller groups. I spoke to the manager Jared and he was awesome. He was willing to have us in. We arrived and were greeted by the hostess who was expecting us. They seated all 28 of us pretty quickly. I ordered a T-bone but they were out so I settled for a ribeye. It was flavorful and juicy. My sides were fries and broccoli. Overall great experience and great food. Upon our arrival the parking lot was not full. We noticed an elderly couple on the right sitting down. The hostess asked for our name and confirmed how many people were in our party. Gave her the last name and sh said you can go back outside and wait until you are called.. No Thank you we will go to the bar and order a drink while we wait. It's 90 degrees out there. When I finally did get a server she was very rude, and you could tell she didn't want to be there let alone serve me. Cheddar's is our favorite restaurant. Our favorite meal is the Salmon; done to perfection every time, along with a huge loaded baked potato & perfectly cooked broccoli. Every thing we have tried on the menu has been perfectly cooked. Love the atmosphere, waiters are great. Love the pastry before the meal. Yum. Can't complain, except we wish Cheddar's would bring a restaurant to Palm Coast, as we have to drive about 30 miles to Daytona. One last thing, the acoustics in Cheddars is friendly to my hearing impairment. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. Our drink order was taken and delivered in 5 mins of being seated. The environment was chill, not loud or crowded. We placed our order and for me it went downhill. Mind you my wife and kids enjoyed their meal with no complaints. I ordered the Monte Crisco sandwich w/fries and a house salad w/ lime vinaigrette dressing on the side. We never received our salads and my sandwich was lukewarm and the fries had a "sitting under the light too long" taste and texture. In town for a work trip and wanted to grab dinner somewhere nearby. This location is located directly across from the Daytona 500 speedway and has ample parking and seating for both small parties and group parties. I was greeted promptly at the hostess stand and showed to a booth in the bar area. My server was absolutely adorable and super friendly and gave me some great recommendations, including the mango tea, which was a huge hit with me. Last time I ate at cheddars they had a Cajun chicken pasta that was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately it wasn't on the menu this go round so I opted for the bourbon glaze salmon with broccoli. unfortunately they're out of broccoli so I did switch to the baby carrots. I had a nice surprise today when I decided to go to Cheddars for lunch. Everyone was nice, service was perfectly on point, friendly and prompt. Everything was clean and the large aquarium provided a calming effect. As the server greeted me she presented a medium size croissant frizzed with melted butter. It was hard, but I saved it to enjoy with the meal. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken served on rice with 2 sides. The waitress verified that the broccoli cheese casserole was indeed a favorite so chose that. For .99 I could upgrade the second side to a salad so I chose the garden salad with house made ranch. (It was crisp and a great size. The entree was served quickly and was so yummy. As you can see by the photo, and a healthy portion! It was cooked perfectly, was tender and tasty. I have eaten in many of this chain and the first one I'm claiming I will never return I ordered the Orleans pasta, had it many times else where. It came kids portion size (I normally struggle to eat all of it) I came not overly hungry and was shocked it barely filled me up. It was hard for me to find heart-healthy food I can eat as most everything is deep-fried and carb-loaded. The only soup they have is a heavy potato soup.
