This is the kind of spot you'd never find if not for Yelp. My husband was in the neighborhood and just happened to look for a great burger on Yelp. We had the bacon jam burger and it was great!

This spot never misses. I love burgers and somehow this place feels like I'm dining for the first time each time as the burger is always as good as I remember (if not better) and I don't get tired of ordering the bacon jam over and over again lol. The owner usually is the one cooking the burgers as I've experienced in the past on the outside grill. It's connected to a golf course too if that's a hobby you enjoy. Service fast and price reasonable for one of the best burgers in SoCal if not worldwide. Lots of golf art and some merch to buy like golf balls in the connected store

Went to Long Beach on a nice Sunday afternoon. Was looking for a unique place to eat in the area. The one that stuck out is Crack! It's located at the Golf Course in a nice and secluded area with a balcony for dogs if you got one. They had full pictures of their entire menu, we ended up getting their Lovers special, split of the top two burgers in half: one with a bacon jam and one more of a classic bacon cheese lettuce style. They made it on a charbroiled grill right next to us. Got sides of pineapple cole slaw and chicken bean soup. Everything was quality and fresh, better than manybof the other options nearby that I've already eaten out at. For a good burger joint and a nice place to relax for a bit, try out Crack! I'll be back eventually.

This burger joint is directly connected to the Bixby Village golf course. Their menu is very simple and has mostly burgers. They'll ask you if you want a side but they're actually $3 each so be mindful of that. They also come in a small plastic almost Costco size sample cup, wish the portions were a bit bigger since it's an additional add to the meal. They specialize in the bacon jam burgers, they make each burger on the outdoor grill so it takes longer for them to make. For the price point of $15-$16 per burger, I would've expected it to be much larger in size. You also order at the counter, and the tab doesn't get closed till later which is a bit odd and confusing on whose order gets out first if you are ordering in a larger groups.

WOW! This place is easily the best all-around. Everything we tried was phenomenal: the burgers (the "Dirty" is a must-try), the corn on the cob, the coleslaw, and the tri-tip tacos. The root beer on tap was an amazing bonus, and the sweet touch of cookies on our way out made it extra special. Exceptional service from start to finish!

I've been going around town looking for the best burgers. Crack is located right off the golf course and you make your order at the small restaurant at the pro shop. I ordered the Ortega and the Bacon Jam. I went to the patio to chill at the tables and look at the golf course while they go my burgers going on the flat top. I got my food in less than 10 minutes. The Ortega was flavorful, but the Bacon Jam got me. I'll be ordering this one next time I'm in the area. To compliment my burger, I got a potato salad. On the small side, but it's solid too.

Often a friend and I go on a quest for a great burger, usually based on a tip or word of mouth. Crack does indeed have a great burger. For our first visit we just went with the Dirty Burger which was awesome. If you want a more traditional burger with lettuce and tomato be sure to ask which one that is, the guys running this place will go out of their way to please you, they are great. I really liked the laid back and relaxing vibe of the outside patio over looking the golf course. The burger is cooked outside on a grill right in front of you. You are free to talk to the cook while he does his thing. The whole setup is kind of like a home style grill party. The burger features a very tasty beef patty, possibly a lean chuck, but plenty juicy without being messy. The patty extends beyond the bun and is not a paper thin massacre like other smash style burgers. While I'm a fan of a perfectly cooked thick burger, this burger passed the test of taste, texture and size. The bun was decent, and held up well through the entire devouring process. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Why didn't we make it over here sooner? My husband and daughter came for lunch today and I am still thinking about these flavors. Seriously one of the best burgers I've had but the real delight here is the other treats. Corn off the cob with some sort of fiendish seasoning that makes it creamy buttery and tangy all at once, potato salad that is definitely not your Grandmas and has loads of flavor, a red cabbage slaw that made me ask what delightful taste that was (hint basil and ginger pops here and there), and finished with cookies that were hot from the oven. Did I mention fresh root beer from a draft tap? The service was great too but run here for the flavors. Not one miss on today's menu for sure! Can't wait to go back soon and try the tacos.

Started with the corn salad, which was fresh and had a great thousand island type of dressing. The white bean chicken chili was hardy, warm and delicious. The downside is they came in these very small containers, and it was a little awkward to eat. Tried the Dirty and Bacon Jam burger; the flavor profiles were very similar and tasted the same. Tried the beef on its own and it didn't have much seasoning. The flavor was fair and okay. Ordered the root beer on tap; it was okay, felt like it could have had a stronger licorice taste. However, that might not be the restaurant's fault. The service was amazing! They were friendly and gave us a little cookie at the end of our meal. The parking lot is small, but we managed to find parking quickly on a sunday afternoon. Small cozy restaurant.

My coworker turned heads at work today when he said he wanted a Crack Burger, so we decided to stop by for lunch on a weekday. This place serves really amazing smash burgers that were incredibly delicious. Location: This green-and-white burger stop is located right between the golf courses at Bixby Village. It does not have large signage and is independently owned. Parking: Free parking is available in the lot next to the restaurant. The lot is a bit uneven and bumpy in some areas. Service: The staff were very friendly to our group, especially when we walked in looking a bit confused because of the lack of signage outside. They explained the menu, gave recommendations, and made our food right away. We got to enjoy the nice patio view of the golf course, with the smell of patties searing on the grill wafting through the air. Food: Amazing! We tried three burgers as a combo: The Dirty, Bacon Jam, and Ortega. Each burger was cooked outside on their patio grill overlooking the golf course and came out super juicy and flavorful. The Bacon Jam was a fan favorite. The lettuce paired really well with the smash burger and sauces. We also tried the white bean chili and macaroni salad. While those were good, the burgers were definitely the main highlight. They also have excellent root beer on tap, poured into chilled glasses. Overall: I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and want a burger that goes beyond typical fast food. It is a great spot with a nice view, quality food, and a very creative name.

It was a cool place right up, until the end. The person I'm assuming is the owner actually asked us to wait before placing our order because he was slammed. Understandable. So then, another guy took our order and also cooked the food. When we ordered, we didn't get any drinks, but he told us we could help ourselves to the fridge. I'm assuming because they were older, the soda can we had actually still had a Halloween ad on it and were in the month of December. We ended up not drinking anything but still had the can with us and when were ready to pay and leave. At checkout, the owner pointed out that we had a can. The guy ringing us up just stood there next to us without saying anything, so I tried to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the owner seemed to assume we were trying to steal and had already processed it, and he wasn't really listening as I was explaining what happened. The food itself was good, above average. I can see why they don't serve fries, since they'd probably take away from the burger experience. I recommend getting sliders so you can enjoy and separate the savory and sweet sauces. But it wasn't worth the price. Overall, not terrible, but that interaction left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won't be going back. I've never felt that embarrassed, especially with him not hearing me out and just clicking away on the tablet. Felt super inferior and stupid. And just a heads up, the tip defaults to 20% so be weary of that.

Talk about finding a hidden treasure inside the Bixby Estates. If you are looking for great food with a relaxing atmosphere that is dog friendly, and overlooking the golf club estates, then Crack burger is the spot. The owner David was the funniest, and helped guided us through his menu. He even went out of his way to make a few things that weren't on the menu for that day. We ended up getting the dirty and bacon jam burger, with crispy potato salad, pineapple coleslaw, and elote grilled corn on the cob with free banana pudding!!!! Delicious Food, Top tier Service with a relaxing atmosphere will definitely be my go to when I'm in the area.

Crack Burger in Long Beach is the definition of a neighborhood gem, and after coming here 4 times now I can confidently say it's a consistent 5 star experience. A huge part of that is the owner Dave. Straight up stand up guy. He genuinely treats people with kindness and it shows every single visit. The first time I came with my girl he gave us root beer floats on the house. The second time he noticed my girl was cold and brought her a blanket plus hooked us up with some white bean chili also on the house. When I came with my dad Dave blessed us with a free brownies, and same thing when I came with my friend. That's not normal customer service anymore that's real hospitality. 10/10 on service every time and shoutout to Dave for always showing love to the people he's serving. The spot itself is super chill and laid back right on the golf course. You can eat inside but the patio is where it's at. Sitting outside watching the greens while you eat is such a vibe especially on a nice day. Now the food. You honestly can't go wrong with any burger here. I've had a few different ones and they've all been really good, it just depends on what you're in the mood for. Today I went with the Ortega and it hit the spot. I paired it with the potato salad and the white bean chili. Both were good, but that white bean chili is GREAT especially when it's cold out. Add a lager with it and it's the perfect afternoon meal. No complaints at all. If you haven't tried Crack Burger yet do yourself a favor and go. You'll leave happy and you'll probably be planning your next visit before you even finish your food.

I've been coming here just about every month for the last couple of years or so and this place has the best burgers in Long Beach and all of LA for me. Any chance I get with friends or family visiting I try to take them here. The vibes are great and the outdoor seating overlooking the golf course is very inviting. The owner is also a super chill dude and I can't say enough good things about this place it's without a doubt my favorite spot in LB. read more

My husband I had walked by Crack and smelled the burgers grilling so many times. But we'd never been here until today. It's a casual place with a few tables inside and a few more on a balcony overlooking the golf course. Everything was absolutely delicious. We tried the Rice-a-Roni pasta salad, the corn on the cob and two different burgers. The food was fresh and delicious, but the burgers were next-level amazing. I don't know what special touches they add, but I've never had a burger like this before. Can't wait to become regulars here! read more

If burgers in LA county exist in a tier system, this is in the same one as fathers office. Patty has a back patio flame broiled vibe that is perfect for where you're eating it, inside a pro shop out of the 90s filled with the type of colorful characters you would want and expect. The bacon jam is for savory food lovers like myself who tend to shy away from menu items referred to as jams. It's a gritty, purple, bacony spread that is a barely sweet umami bomb. Go enjoy one and talk sports with the boys working there! read more

So, I am Retired, Both as a Carnivore and as an Executive Chef. Dropped in this afternoon and after informing the owner I was a vegetarian, was asked if I would be a volunteer to sample his new Vegetarian burger. I was to be the first, wow, and on the last week of the year. OK I have done brave things in the past, why not now. I ordered a beer and waited. Dave, ya done good. Truly the famous + most delicious smash burgers in the LBC! This place is the bomb + made me feel like I was in Hawaii for some reason! I think it's David + the low key family vibe. My friend + I ordered the BJ + Ortega ... the summer heat kicked in a little so I finished my burger on the way home + it held up perfectly. Overpriced. Waited 20-30 mins for it. This place doesn't offer fries but offers chips instead. I made it into a combo but the total almost came out to $18! Yikes. The burger was okay, it wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. There was nothing special about the burger. If you're in town, go somewhere else. It's not worth the money. read more

Don't get me wrong, you should definitely know it's a little spot attached to a golf course. And they do NOT do take out (heard a whole story about it when I was there yesterday. Lol). But I may have had the best burger of my life there. The Bacon Jam is incredible. My husband and I couldn't believe it. And Dave seems like a solid guy. Nothing glamorous in the ambiance but worth popping by for an incredible burger. read more

This is the spot! Bacon Jam burger melts in your mouth. This burger has the perfect balance of toppings and sauces with a more than generous portion of top quality ground beef. I've never done Crack but as soon as I was done with this hamburger I wanted another one. The sides were amazing as well. I don't typically like coleslaw but I was looking for more when it was gone. Need to mention there's no take out here so go check it out when you have some time to kill and can enjoy an extra beverage on the patio overlooking the golf course. I even heard they have root beer floats on the house for dessert. I would have posted a picture but I ate the food so fast I forgot to. read more

Hands down, Crack has THE BEST burger in LA, not just Long Beach. The meat is incredible, the bacon jam divine, and the white chili is delicious. Top it off with a root beer float and you've just had one of the best meals you'll ever have for 20 bucks. The owner, Dave, is obsessively dedicated to always serving the best food and experience possible. He is a creative and talented chef, and has a heart of gold behind that gruff (and hilarious) demeanor. If you're super stuffy or in a massive rush, it's probably not the best place for you. But if you love great food in a laid back, fun environment, you should trust the reviews and go to Crack right now. That's where I'm headed now! read more

Super easy to give this place five stars. When I say it was the best burger I've had, I'm telling the truth. I had the Ortega burger. It was so delicious. The tomato jam, the chipotle Mayo - perfection. My family had The Dirty Burger with bacon jam - omg... I tried the jam. Outrageous. Everyone loved it. We had a nice outdoor table and great entertainment from the owner who was friendly, genuine and generous. We will be back every time we come to Long Beach. read more

My friend and I went to lunch the other day. I had the dirty burger. She had the bacon jam burger. I also had the homemade potato salad. We sat outside right next to Mike that was grilling the burgers. He cut them in half so we could taste each other's. Both were luscious but I think I liked the dirty burger a little better. Potato salad really good too. Dave the owner is a character. Very enjoyable! read more

Many people have commented about this being a hole-in-the-wall place and it certainly is that BUT the burger I had was one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the dirty burger, otherwise known as the bacon jam burger. I didn't order it any special way and was worried that it would have a bunch of toppings that I wouldn't like. To my delight, it was a simple cheeseburger (smash burger) with bacon jam and some kind of sauce. The flavor was fantastic. I don't like a ton of toppings that muddle the flavor, this was a straight up fantastic burger. The staff, including the owner, were very nice. The customer service was top notch. read more

It's got a canvas awning and heater if necessary! I also has 5 tables for seating for 4! Plus stools at the fencing that looks out to the Golf Greens! The tables can be moved together for larger parties!

I was looking forward to the Tuna entree but they had changed the fish, that's ok changes happen but my second choice was the steak... this was unfortunate because online it just listed it as an individual entree upcharge where at the location it was actually required to share and a double upcharge. So I ordered what was never a preference and got the replacement fish. On top of that there were some misleading wording about the pastas but that's ok, wasn't even the worst part. We ordered, along with some oysters and were excited to get started. Things started great with the table apps and wine but it was about 15 minutes after we finished those we thought we should check on those oysters, glad I did because they clearly weren't going to come out. Besides a few missing condiments to go with the oysters, the food was great up to this point. But, it was now over 40 minutes since our apps and the 2nd course (pasta) was no where to be found, better ask again. Another flag down. Both pastas came out about 5 minutes later having clearly just been cooked and both were underwhelming. There was mention of Italian sausage as a listed ingredient but as a Sicilian I can tell you, please don't bother listing this ingredient, it was microscopic at best. Another suprise came when the check hit the table and we had to inform the server we hadn't even received our entrees. It made sense though because even though we ordered around 720, it was now almost 9pm and they were closing. By the time the entrees came out (3 minutes before 9) the pace had been so slow we were just so annoyed we wanted to go home. We actually had to cancel the plans we had after dinner because it was getting too late. Honestly, the worst part was that there was no way they didn't know how long service was taking and there wasn't a single person that even said, "we're so sorry about the wait". We honestly understand things happen, but to completely pretend it's normal and not acknowledge that we had to keep asking about our food.... I mean, that just makes us feel like we chose the wrong spot because we clearly weren't that important.

We brought these concerns to an employee, but were told there wasn't much they could do. If this business truly wants to be part of the community, I hope they take more responsibility for the impact they're having on the surrounding neighborhood. Encouraging customers to park responsibly, helping keep the area clean, and offering more reasonably priced menu options would go a long way toward building goodwill with the people who actually live here. I always want local businesses to succeed, but right now I can't recommend Zuzu's Petals based on both my experience and the ongoing issues it's created for nearby residents. Also beach cleaning isn't cleaning our neighborhood. That's no support to our neighborhood. Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day instead.

The small Mexican coke was $6... that's insane. I can appreciate that they are locally sourcing food and I would hope they are paying their employees well, and everyone so taken care of. But overall, the value of money and quality of food did not do it for me. I did notice the portions on the salad were inconsistent based off of the other tables around us. I think there is an illusion that the salad is big based on the fact that the lettuce is not cut and they put an absorbent amount of cheese on top. That aside.. this gnocchi was not good and too undercooked. The sauce tasted honestly like a chef boyardee sauce, with a little bit of a fish after taste, and no ricotta. It did taste like slight parm, which, even if a little bit more Parmesan was added, maybe this would've tasted a bit better. But apparently all the Parmesan was reserved only for the salads. (This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. I left hungry and sadly disappointed.

I would definitely order both those items again. We also had an order of their wings with Gochujang BBQ sauce which was another winner. We ended up order two pizzas with one being the Ragu that was just ok, and the other being the Fried Eggplant that was very good. To you it off we all tried the Pistachio Custard that was a nice end to the meal. The place does get busy so you may want to make a reservation. They do have a big parking lot but parking can still get tight. As for the staff they are all very friendly and welcoming. They also do a really good job of keeping the place neat and clean.

I had the chance to try the Dirty, the Ortega, and the Bacon Jam burgers, and let me tell you, they were all showstoppers. Food is out of this world, fresh and tasty! It's been many many years since I've walked into a place and the owner has greeted me at the menu and walked me through the whole menu. This is what Dave did @Crack , I told him to just hook me up. He gave me the bacon jam burger, and the Dirty Bird we had the Elote corn and the IPA in his amazing beer mugs that are insulated. My mom and I both ordered them from Host Dave should get a kickback from that @Host . We also had the White Bean Chili and the Red Cabbage Salad that was amazing good crunch everything freshly made so don't expect it to come out super fast just sit back and enjoy that Ice Cold IPA . Dave has definitely got it going on over here so glad I finally came. My mom has been begging me to come here for over a year, little did I know about Dave over here serving up the Homemade Crack ! This is a crappy response from a crappy person. I want to address a few things, you messaged me directly insisting that I did not go to your restaurant. Not only did I respond to your rude message. I responded 15 minutes later at 9 PM. If you simply said something along the lines of we have bad days, I'm stressed out, I just wasn't feeling it etc. I wouldn't have cared to respond whether it was said in private or public. But you didn't do that you went out of your way to double down on the if I talk that way I'd be out of business. Well, you insulted me, directly once in private messages and a second time on your page seems to be a trend, but what do I know? Lastly, I just don't understand if you feel I did not go there why ask me to revise the review why not just report it to yelp and say it was fraud ......... make it make sense? Let me hip you to this. Best cheeseburger I've ever had. It's the next big thing. From my understanding, the bun, meat, and cheese are all phenomenal, but the bacon jam is the best. I wish I was kidding. Easier said then done, they also have some killer lemonade. Don't look at me. Your order comes with a great chili appetizer (super famous) and a vanilla ice cream (super legit) with caramel syrup. Yeah man, yeah. More expensive than in-n-out, but tastes better. That's a thing. Crack Burgers changed my life because I wasn't a smash burger fan. But now I am and I'm telling you, you've gotta try this spot. MUST ORDERS 1. The Ortega Burger (bacon jam) 2. The Dirty Girl (bacon jam) The bacon jam is DELICIOUS and the name says it all. 3. Potato Salad (the best I've ever had) 4. Apple Pie BBQ Baked Beans (I won't give away his secret) 5. White Bean Chili (another reason I went back) 6. Red Lager served in a chilled mug so it stays cold. There's no take out because Dave wants you to eat his food while it's hot and I get it. It was thanks to Yelp that we found this secret gem! This is the place to go if you like smash burgers! The owner was so cool that you felt like you were having a BBQ in your own backyard. We decided to sit on the patio because it was cool and had some shade. We got the salad with our Smashburger. We tried some of his white bean soup, and it was delicious. Dave at Crack Burger lives up to the hype. The burgers are excellent, but so are the special menu items he comes up with. Dave and his team handled dinner for our son's 6th birthday at Bixby Village Golf Course and made the whole thing seamless. He built a menu that was both kid-friendly and high quality, and somehow got about 25 people fed in under 45 minutes so we could stay on schedule. If I could give ten stars, I would! All of his food is great. I am a sides girl, and all the unique sides he makes blow me away every time. If you like root beer, you will love the root beer on draft. He puts them in a chilled cup that gets so cold it turns the root beer in to a slushee. The service is great. They do have happy hours Monday-Friday 3-6pm with 50% off sides, beers, and wines. It might be worth checking it out then.

Mind you, a lot of the meat on the left was fat. I know that's what gives the meat flavor, but you shouldn't be serving that to customers. Unfortunately Uber Eats won't refund part of the order so I'm stuck with a .25 pounds of fat, not actual meat.
