We stopped by for a quick bite after spending some time at the golf course, and we loved the cozy interior and fun vibes. Enjoying the fresh air, we sat outside and savored our meal. Was craving a burger and saw that this place was fairly new so decided to come here! It used to be a different restaurant. It's located in the Marina Pacifica plaza right in between the Barnes and Nobles and the AMC theater. There's plenty of parking, which is nice. The inside looked a little different than the previous restaurant but they kept the outside patio the same. Their menu looks simple but enough options to choose from. We got the Dos smash burger combo. It comes with a side of fries and a drink. The burger was delicious and fulfilling. The fries were fresh and crispy. Me and my wife tried this burger joint prior to my movie starting at the AMC theater. It was a rainy Friday around 4pmsh. It was not busy at all. Walked up to the front counter and looked at the menu. Its a Order and sit type of establishment. Ordered a double patty Mexican hamburger and a Hamburger buritto along with Wine and Beer. Received my beer and wine upon order. Waited about 10 minutes for my name to be called out for food pick up. Took a bite out of this Mexican american Fusion hamburger, I must say... it wasn't too bad at all. My wife enjoyed her hamburger burrito as well. Fries were tasty. "No complaints on the food." Had the opportunity to meet John who I believe is the owner of this establishment. He was friendly and courteous. He checked up on us a couple of time just to see how we were doing, which was nice and professional of him to do. Had a conversation regarding the history of how his business burger was established. Along conversations of Europe and eateries in Mexico. Just the conversation I had with John displayed genuine characteristics. It was a warm conversation that gives you a welcoming feeling. He cares about his customers. Kudos to John. Overall, this place has true potential to be successful. They just opened up a few months ago but needs word of mouth to spread the news about this fusion burger. I would definitely come back!. Good food and good customer service. Another visit to Beasties. I decided to try their chicken tacos instead of of my usual smash burger. Definitely a unique concept, a chicken breast squashed inside a taco shell, served with Guac and Queso. Guac was spicey but very tasty. I did dine-in and found the tacos a bit difficult to eat but still enjoyed them. I ordered the combo, it's a great price to upgrade to combos. I haven't had their fries since my first visit, during their first week, and didn't care of the seasoning. They definitely learn from feedback. This visit, I loved the fries, perfect amount of seasoning, perfect doneness. I still miss the openess of the old EAT layout. The staff is behind thick glass (maybe that is needed in these times) and it's difficult for each of us to hear one another even with the mic and head sets. This place will be in heavy rotation for us when we want an upgraded smash burger. They have all the flavors and seasonings of a taco but as a smash burger, then to top it off, they give you this yummy queso cheese sauce AND some sort of onion garlic blend to dip your burger (or smash taco) into! The taco is pretty much a smash burger patty inside of a taco shell so they reheat well the next day. I popped it in the air fryer and it was as if it were freshly cooked. They were all good, but the taco that we had come for was our least favorite. The burrito and burger were really good -- we like the chorizo/beef smashed patties. They serve the combos with a queso sauce that is great for dipping, as well as spicy peppers if you're into that. The fries were cooked well. We want to go back to try the chicken specials, since we totally missed that menu when we ordered. And they have fountain Diet Coke, which you know is a must. Beasties is a Mexican meets American food. They specialize in Mexican smash burgers and smash tacos. They also have burgeritos, fries made with tallow, and desserts. Although it's a unique concept I cannot say I am a huge fan. I came for lunch one day and ended up trying their burgeritos which is a burrito with smashburger meat inside. It came with a sweet aioli sauce. Although it was probably done right it just wasn't for me. I do appreciate that they use 100% USDA choice meats and tallow fries but it didn't go together well for me. I would come back and try their burgers though and the tallow fries separate. Their churros also looked good. The service was excellent. They were helpful, quick, and really nice about clean up. This place took over the old Eat Fantasic spot. Stumbled upon Beasties's opening weekend on the way to the AMC. The place had a cool brewery vibe so we stopped by to check it out. I ordered an Uno combo with no chorizo and asked to sub the fountain soda with a house made Mexican soda. Unfortunately, substitutions aren't available, but I was able to get the fountain drink canned so I opted to purchase the house made Mexican soda. The Guava Jamaica was a bit watered down and flat for my taste and the burger still had a kick of chorizo; however the fries were good and the side of cheese was a nice touch. This place is great, but it has one weird design. You order at a window inside. I think they were trying to go for a similarity of another chain but they sure are different. This food was terrific and nothing I've had before. They definitely put a Latin twist on burgers and fries and I can't stress the deliciousness behind it all. We got the uno burger which is a smash burger with jalapeños and chorizo and white American cheese. You could feel the grease from the chorizo but it all went together so good. Next came the two tacos and they were as well. The tortilla tasted fresh and crunchy and the beef chorizo mix was about the same as the burger, plus it had green peppers at the bottom, which reminded me of food in New Mexico. Lastly, the beastie fries were very impressive. Guacamole, a smash burger with cheese, their special sauce and fries all put together. Every bite was better than the first. I even took it out of the paper boat, laid it flat on the table and scraped it for all it was worth. This is a spot for late nights. The Smashburger was okay; definitely glad I ordered the delicious roasted jalapeños on the side because although they were delicious, they were spicy at the same time! I ate pieces of the jalapeños after every bite of the Smashburger. Was expecting a nicer crunch and better flavors of the fries since they're fried in beef tallow, but they were a bit bland. Another smash burger joint? Say less. Went with girlfriend for a yelp event and we liked it. We wanted to love it but something didn't seem right and something was missing.. The smash burger itself was good, seasoned well and cooked nicely and the combination with the potato bun was a good solid choice. However, after eating the buger we realized that it was missing sauce. Usually burgers or smash burgers have a sauce or special sauce but the one we got didn't have it. Because of that the meat patty almost tasted pretty bland, despite the seasoning that was used. Maybe we went on an off day? Who knows. The fries werr nothing special, but solid enough. Dropped into Beasties for the first time for an early Friday dinner. TL;DR: the burgers are pretty tasty. Beasties took over the previous spot for EAT Fantastic burgers and I prefer this switch up. The plaza is fairly large with plenty of parking but things did seem pretty packed after our meal. Making your way to the entrance, you'll see an outdoor dining area which helps a lot as there is limited bar seating inside the restaurant itself. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and the workers were courteous and helpful to answer any questions that we had. There was a large menu on the wall. I ended up getting the dos smash burger with everything on it: two beef patties, caramelized onions, sauce, jalapeños, white American cheese, and topped with crispy chorizo. You also get two chili peppers and a side of queso dip. Opting for a combo will get you fries and a fountain drink. The burger was pretty good and packed a little kick. So, make sure to opt out of the jalapeños if you do not like spicy. The fries were pretty straightforward, thin and crispy. The queso dip was thicker in consistency than I expected. Not a bad thing, but don't expect to pour it over your burger like ranch. I'd definitely be interested in trying their Burgerito item which seems to be like a smash burger California burrito. This was our first time, Sofia was very helpful to me and my friend and other customers as well. The cheese sauce to dip it in had a funky taste and I didn't use it after one bite with it; just personal preference. Solid burger cooked well and unique flavor. Fries with the combo were pretty small, nothing bad just not great. Churros were so undercooked they were gelatinous liquid inside; inedible. I love the spice level and if you want more spice they include tapatio and the little chiles. Fries are delicious. Food is cooked to perfection. Service is friendly. They even checked on us. I order a dos smash burger with fries. That's 2 chuck, brisket, short rib, and angus beef patties, topped with American cheese and chorizo. That's a lot of amazing flavor and texture packed into a very filling cheese cheeseburger. Too bad mine was overcooked. Sometimes when you're doing smash burgers, and you have the temperature set for a typical thick hamburger, this is what you end up with. If the chef would have just turned down the heat a bit, this would be a damn good burger. Today is my birthday and I had such an amazing encounter with Mia, who was at the front register. She was super friendly and charismatic. Once she found out it was my birthday she went above and beyond. I haven't written a review for awhile, but I needed to write one because a lot of people aren't talking about "quality fast-food" (quite an "oxymoron" in itself), which I think Beasties lacks. Now, I'm a person who believes in foundation. If a pizza place can't make a good margarita slice, or cheese pepperoni, we have some problems. Likewise a burger joint. Prior to Beasties, this use to be a Eat Fantastic. Eat Fantastic wasn't my favorite fast foot joint, but it was decent: it tasted like a burger, it had the right flavors, not too salty and just enough pepper in the smash, and you could actually taste the lettuce and tomato on there. Beasties on the other hand... it tasted like burger meat that was lacking. Lack of spice, primarily had salt, a bit too much oil, but no lasting flavor. There was sauce, which I couldn't really distinguish the flavor beyond some kind of cheap in-house "secret sauce" dressing. Lastly, nothing in the cuisine tastes like Mexican food. The problem I see with fusion is when you take two different cultural ingredients, and you think mashing them up would make something good. We know Kogi BBQ was successful in doing this, but if you can't make the quality ingredients, you might as well call it "a weak taco." I had the Smash Taco and Beastie Uno, and both of them were disappointing. You need good burger meat if you think you're serving good burgers. We ordered two number uno combos. The fries were delicious and flavorful. We both enjoyed dipping it in the ketchup and queso cheese. The burger was delicious!
