Cream jjamppong
Hemi K.

We got the cream jjamppong and it was delicious. I was expecting the soup to be too creamy and cheesy but it was perfect to eat with the danmuji (yellow radish). The soup was rich and the seafood was fresh. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty popular. The server was polite and gave us aprons in case we wanted to put them on while eating. He made sure our drinks were filled and we had enough sides.

Was in a different part of town but craving crawfish. Since the season is almost over, I wanted to find somewhere nearby with reasonable prices. I came and there were a few customers eating other delicious noodle dishes which I would have tried if I hadn't been focused on crawfish. I ordered two pounds without corn or potatoes and a side of rice. The crawfish was $8.99/lb which is less than what it said on the yelp page. The server was nice and friendly. He could tell I was a new customer so he asked how I found them! I enjoyed my meal. I love their setup for you to eat, a replaceable basket for trash, gloves and tray to hold your crawfish bag. I wish I had chosen medium instead of mild because I could have used a bit more spice but it was still good. As always it tasted great with the juice from the boil bag and the steamed rice.

Raw

I placed 2 to go orders , 2 plates of fried rice , one with crawfish and shrimp, and one with only shrimp. I received my order and sat in the parking lot to eat the food because we drove 45 mins for the fried rice and realized the rice was extremely hard and the shrimp was Raw..before I could go back inside, the restaurant was closed in less than 10 mines. Google says they close at 9pm but they shut down around 8:20. I am extremely disappointed, I guess they rushed the food.. waste of time , gas and food.

If you like to have your seafood Asian style, then you will love this place. I like Asian style, but this was a little much for me. They do you have an option where you can take Louisiana seasoning and put it on top. That's what I did, but it wasn't as good as other places that I've been to. my only other issue is that as a whole this place was really pricey. Seafood is pricey and I'm not sure if this is a small business or the type of cost they incur, but there are definitely places elsewhere where you can get better deals. As far as convenience this is one of the closest places to me to get crab legs so I won't say that I won't be back, but if I'm willing to drive the extra 15 minutes then I'll definitely take that over this.

James R. had hosted his UYE here as he had heard excellent things about their crawfish. While this place is called the "Crab Ave", my posse came here for the crawfish. They were priced at $7.99/lb. I do not eat these bugs, so I wasn't too concerned about them. The 2 types of seasoning available are either with traditional Louisiana/Cajun seasoning, or Vietnamese butter-garlic sauce. There were four levels of spice: mild, medium, spicy, and extra-spicy. To customize add-ons, the rates are as following: corn (+75 cents), 3 potatoes (+$1.50), 2 sausages (+$1.99), and also rice, noodles, and a whole host of other accoutrements. Since crawfish ain't my thing, I went with a shrimp fried rice plate and a seafood soup. I also mooched 3 shrimp from James's 6 pound crawfish bag. Most of the group went with spicy flavor, while Eric went with an extra spicy level. I could see his lips were turning pink n red with the blazing fumes that were entering his mouth. Crab avenue is not kidding, when they present you the extra spicy version. My only critique of this place was that the service was slow. We came with a large group of people, so I understand that the kitchen might have been rushed, but every person got their food brought at different times. I finished mine quickly as I had not peeling and butchering to do. Mine was soup and rice. Easy intake. There were some that were still waiting for their food to arrive. Perhaps we needed extra waiters serving our table.

We came here for crawfish season with a large party. The host called ahead to reserve a table, and one was set up 30 minutes before our arrival time. Spacious plaza with plenty of parking. This place is still a bit fresh, offering A variety of Korean dishes. The fried seafood platter was my favorite. It came with fried calamari, fried oysters, onion rings, and French fries. The fried oysters were spot on. Good enough to share with 5+ people. Also came with 3 different sauces, but I didn't think it was needed. The crawfish was decent price at about $8 per lb. Two flavors of Louisiana or garlic butter. You can pick your level of spicy. I chose garlic butter spicy instead of extra spicy. Careful on extra spicy. The seasonings on the crawfish were good and flavorful. The crawfish was also at good size at this time of the season. Some other items to fill up your tummy are their fried rice and spicy seafood noodles. The spicy seafood noodles can feed about 3 people. It was filled with seafood, noodles, veggies, and one spicy broth. This item came last and it was a struggle to finish since we were already so full on the food. Overall, services were good. If we needed anything, then it was brought to us. Our party had a great time here.

I'm a crab leg aficionado...actually that might be an understatement. So, of course, I was craving them recently. Since this place has been on list for several months and I was in the area, I figured I'd check them out. Now I debated whether I really wanted to get steamed shellfish to go since they would taste better hot but went with it anyway. We're still in a pandemic and, although restaurants are open, they had very limited seating options in an already small space. I ended up ordering 2 lbs of Crab Legs with a couple ear of corn halves and a couple potatoes. Since I wasn't familiar with their definition of "spicy", I got one bag with the mild spice level and one with medium. Finally I chose the garlic butter sauce over the Cajun seasoning per the server's recommendation. The temperature of the legs held up better than I thought on the 25 minute drive home. They weren't overcooked and the flavor of the sauce was delicious - so glad I listened to the gentleman. I also discerned that I preferred the medium heat over the mild. It had just enough kick but want overpowering. However, they were a little smaller than I expected. If they had been larger, with more meat, this review would be five stars. I'm definitely willing to go back and see if I can get a different batch!

The spicy seafood noodles as Koreans would refer to as "cham pong" was hot and good considering that I'm not a big seafood eater. Soup Disclaimer: Make sure you tell them to cook the seafood without peppers if you can't tolerate spices unless you already plan on going to the can with the jalapeño business. I had a side order of wings, which are not pre-marinated when served. They just provide a side container with the designated flavor you requested. The wings were hot and good either way.

This place was delicious! And guys, they have a liquor license so there is beer. The only thing that got me through the drive from Dallas to Houston was knowing I could eat crawfish and have a beer and this was the spot to do it. Pro-tip: just go ahead and get a side of steamed rice or noodles to put your sauce on, you won't regret it.

Strange location, but totally worth the vibe

Horrible. Ordered spicy crab. Spicy does not mean a box of spicy seasoning. Crabs are not spicy, but you have to get through the seasoning.

The design details, from the rustic beams and large-scale vases to the pretty dishes and comfy stylish chairs, Latuli knocks it out of the park for ambiance. The servers were equally impressive: attentive, warm, welcoming, and very considerate. And the food? OUTSTANDING. Most of the passed appetizers were delicious. We both thought the one we didn't prefer (carrot) had too much lemon. The bread service was lovely as well. The remaining four courses were truly stellar... crawfish toast was savory and complex. The fish course was fresh and bright. The Wagyu was impossibly velvety tender and seasoned beautifully. The showstopper Baked Alaska was an over-the-top ending - sweet, creamy, and delicious - to a truly remarkable evening. Bravo! I had actually never heard of Latuli prior to this event, and, based on our experience, I will definitely be back.

Mesquite grilled oysters and the red fish on the half shell were great with their feature special adding crab meat on top of it. Very fresh and nicely prepared. I like to write honest reviews and the reason why this one is so hard is because if I went on service alone, it would be at least 4 to 5 stars. But most of my reviews are about the food, and because of that, the best I could do is 2 stars. I do also want to mention the atmosphere. When we entered the strong fish smell was off putting. It was very strong, so bad that I should have left after the smell almost pushed me back out of the door. But I've been here before and it wasn't bad, and I was really craving some seafood to, I ignored that smell. For appetizers we ordered Shrimp Empanadas Crispy pastries packed with our classic shrimp and creole vegetables. They were eh. I mean, I ate one and that was really all I could do. My friend ate the other ones. For dinner I ordered red fish. It was NOT good at all. Had a strong fishy flavor that I don't like at all. I also didn't eat that. After having such a bad dinner experience we decided to go else where for dessert, and I am glad that we did. I would love for this to be a great seafood place because its close to me. But they've never really impressed me, and this last visit was the worst one.

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.
